i’ve seen my chosen personal style be referred to as “minimalist luxe” which i guess is sort of accurate but i tend to incorporate quirkier colors and accessories to keep myself from feeling too corporate if that makes sense. sort of a south of france artist vibe.
my essentials: black boots, white chunky sneakers, blazers (especially cropped ones), “interesting” earrings, gold, FRAGRANCE (anything medicinal/herbaceous/citrusy, i have several scents for various seasons and occasions. heretic parfum is extra special bc the dry downs are so unique to your chemistry)
makeup and hair stays pretty neutral, i have a mullet-y shag that was cut so well (almost 9 months ago now) that i don’t have to do much to it for it to fall in a flattering way. love a solid graphic eyeliner either way.
last q about hobbies that help make the style is great— i’ve been working slowly on reading gomorrah in italian, it has a cool cover so i like to have it around . it’s a slow read because it’s so graphic that i have to stop every 12 pages or so to gather myself. natural wine, well-rolled spliffs, oysters, prosecco, gracious and generous hosting (like at my house, my bar cart is always full) are all part of the vibe for me.
as a mild autist i spend a lot of time & energy constructing this whole aesthetic. turns out that work is in and of itself the aesthetic anyway. last and only hurdle is getting fitter and thinner so the clothes hang off me in the way i want them to. for now i’m a lil chunky and quite sick of it so i’m spending 3 days a week at the gym bustin ass. anything for the vibe …,
