Honestly, I am enjoying Gou/Sotsu. I don’t care if it’s ruining the lore and I have been itching for something new for WTC after my yearly re-read of Umineko. I always thought Satoko and Lambda were the same originally but when I was reading Umineko the first time, someone told me that it was supposed to be Takano (I mean I guess but that would’ve undone any growth Takano had and I’m glad she’s not Lambdadelta). The answer arcs for this season have been okay, but seeing Satoko split into Witch Satoko versus the original made me feel bad for her. I’m wondering if there’s going to be a split in the timelines or if Rika will figure out that the Satoko she’s dealing with now isn’t the one she had tried to save originally. It’s trash but it’s my trash and I’m going to keep holding out for a true Umineko remake after this series ends.
