Post all forms of media centering women and their relationship with each other. Spam images, movies, music, books, manga/anime, games, etc, that:
>Inspires you to connect with another woman.
>Highlights the unique struggles of female social dynamics.
>Features feel good girl gang shenanigans!

Some anons on here, including me, grew up under-socialized with our sex, and/or suffered trauma by women. So we may have trouble forming female relationship as an adult. Through media, let us heal, romanticize and examine all aspects of woman-to-woman friendship, sisterhood, bonds, and solidarity ♥

This thread focuses on the platonic or familial, but romantic subtext/ambiguity is fine. As long as you remember to direct expressed lesbian content to the correct thread >>/m/1764

This manga right here, A Lollypop or A Bullet. It's short and sweet but even in only 13 chapters I got attached to the characters and enjoyed their dynamic and friendship.
I like Rena and Mion's friendship in Higurashi too, the VN that is.
Shion and Mion are twin sisters but I'm going to include them too.

Glow is one of my favorite shows ever for female friendships, there's a lot of characters but it gives them all time with each other and they form different bonds and dynamics with one another. Though the show starts with one friend doing something fucked up to her other friend's relationship I love how much the characters grow with each other.

So sad there will never be Season 4

God, GLOW was so good, I completely agree with both of you. Betty Gilpin was fucking amazing as Debbie – that one scene where she freaks out at Ruth after Ruth has to escape the guy coming onto her like genuinely shook me, it's so real. She did such an amazing job at communicating the constant anger happening beneath Debbie's smile. I'm still so mad we won't get to see her build that network promised in the season 3 finale. I loved Sheila, Tamme, Melrose, Yolanda, and Arthie too….just such weird, real characters.

Fujoshi Rumi shows the friendship between retarded fujoshi with cowish qualities, it's very fun. I loved Nana as a teenager, I wish it focused more on Nana and Hachi's relationship and I felt they got separated too fast. I also loved the relationship between Tohru, Arisa and Saki in Fruits Basket, I could read a manga just about them with none of the Soma family drama going on. There's a fujo who wants to draw her own comic but constantly puts it off, other characters lovingly make fun of her for being a kuso fujo, a chuunibyou who tries to be a cool loner and eats lunch alone, only to feel lonely and stupid, and an idiot whose nickname is literally baka for being stupid, will send fujo a bunch of her 'practice' selfies and ask her to pick the best one. IDK if here's the right place to ask, but can someone recommend me fun gameplay videos with only women? Or female gaming yt channels that has collabs with other women, in general. Just no vtuber crap, please.
I used to have so much fun playing games with the girlies when I was a teen, we'd try new games and be absolutely horrible at it which created so many funny scenarios. Too bad everyone is busy these days and I don't have many girl friends. I wanted to experience that again but the fun gaming videos I find are always made by dudes only, and when there's a woman she's usually the only one.

I watched a bunch of female friendship anime in the past couple of years and it made me seriously depressed and lonely. I’m finally kind of accepting that i won’t have something like that because I suck at intimacy and the perfect best friend I dream of isn’t going to fall into my lap. It’s still nice to watch though

It's been a while since I watched Dead to Me so I don't remember the specifics, but I do remember laughing quite a bit and enjoying the relationship between the two female leads played by Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini. I've only seen the first two seasons. The show is finished with 3 seasons, but I read it does end on a bit of a cliffhanger.

I watched it and liked it a lot. Wasn’t sure at first but liked the way it wrapped up. I don’t think the “cliffhanger” ruined it, it wasn’t that type of cliffhanger in my opinion. It got really moving and emotional (for me, but I don’t think I’m the only one) in season 3. It was a bit jarring the see Applegate looked so physically different but she got sick in real life so there was no getting around it, I think the writers did a decent job writing it into the show.
