I love Bauhaus so much. I’m seeing them live in a few weeks. I love their more dark and gothic material, but also enjoy their songs that are full of inside jokes and meme tier shit. Each member is so unique and gorgeous in their own way. I’ve always had a massive crush on Daniel Ash. He’s a fashion icon and still has great onstage presence. I can’t wait to see them all live!

It's funny they also talked about how 'It's Called a Heart' is one of their least favorite songs because it's too poppy and reminiscent of their old sound, but I like that song too. To be fair, they had a lot of frustration with not being taken seriously by the press for being more naive in those early years so maybe they were just really desperate to distance themselves from that era. And I think they all had moments where they were very cute, so any member you latch on to is a good one (to my knowledge at least).

It gets overshadowed by I Know It's Over since it plays first on the tracklist (amazing song too) but damn it needs more love

His attachment to his mother and sister might seem cute at first, but I think he sees other women as uncapable of being as good as them, like an annoying guy who always compare his wife to his mother. I hope it doesn't sound like I'm making excuses for him, just pondering and tinfoiling a bit how his views are (maybe?) different from porn addicted scrotes and their glaring misogynism.Anyway, I also think the only way to enjoy his music is if you admit he is an insufferable prick, otherwise your brain'll melt, you'll start dressing up like him and invading the stage to hug him mid performance like a retard.

One of the things I love about 80s music are wild looks and styles of the singers, especially female singers.

Plus, 80s were full of neon shit which is cool and 80s fashions and styles were like ten billion times better than the stuff we have now IMO. I also miss subcultures. We don't have any subcultures at all anymore, not even punks. And this is a subjective issue but personally I just don't like the music that is mainstream nowadays, or anything that was mainstream since the late 90s.

I mean she was never really original to begin with as she ripped off most of her image from underground new wave singers but even if she was derivative, she did it very well at the time. She always looked like she was having a good time on stage and it was fun watching her dance. Her voice wasn't especially great but it was excusable since the instrumental work of her 80s stuff was good enough and again, the dancing was fun to watch like in vidrel.
But she really succumbed to her vanity and it just got sadder with each passing decade after the 90s. On the one hand I think it's great that she continued to do what she loves and not let people age-shame her out of making music. But on the other hand her desperation for youth instead of aging gracefully like some of her contemporaries was/is hard to watch.
