Not really related to the whole "finding a random illustration and falling in love with it" thing, but I loved Lime so much that my OC donut steel would always have a fang and a turtleneck collar.
I also used to wear a bandana all day long, even when I was at home, because I wanted to be literally her.
The funny part is that I never truly watched saber marionette until I was like 20 years old, I just loved Lime's design and her silly underwear outside her pants like a super hero.

Love Hina was the hit manga that took over every bookstore in the 2000s, and every girl who liked anime at my school bought copies and collected merch. Looking back, I'm not even sure if it was the self inserting everyone was doing or the cutesy but sexual art style that make all my friends interested in this story. But we also loved Tenchi so it check out.
