I used to play Roblox a ton as a kid when it was still growing in 2006-2007 and I stopped around 2012. I have a lot of nostalgia for it.
I liked the forums, and the sense of community with a smaller userbase. Hats were the primary cash-grab there was at the time, but they offered a lot of free ones during events. The games weren't many and simple, but as a kid I enjoyed it, since my imagination did most of the work. Even building my own crappy rooms.
I tried it again recently and there is so much cash-grab shit for the smallest useless upgrades in games, and even real life product advertisements for Walmart and L'Oreal. Freaked me out. I don't have my old account(s), and was able to find out most were involved in hacks, and then banned.
I did find a fair amount of very well done games, even for solo play, by looking for titles online, so it's not all depressing.
