>>507623Hey I’d be happy if this thread gets any use at all lol. And yeah I get that even Vivinos has commented on how her recent works have different priorities than her older ones. And good news to your first answer, Vivinos posted picrel in March so it’s possible that after Alien Stage ends (and it’s ending really soon) she may pick up PBC again. I also agree in Hyuna’s design being really nice and her having a tank top with one half strap is also really sexo. I’m kind of new to Vivinos in general, so I watched the two videos you mentioned and wow they were great! There was a part in Beloved that actually made me jump damn, it really utilized the music well. And yeah both of the girls demonic forms were unsettling especially they way they slowly morphed over time. And the cute orange haired girl’s expressions, she’s so adorable to me. Its kind of interesting that Alien Stage’s more recent comics have a similar atmosphere to these videos than the other ones do.

>>509238I agree to be honest, I was expecting it to be more about Till’s general feelings of rebellion and how Mizi inspires him/gives him hope to carry on even in adversity. The song name “My Crazy Life” really seemed to give off that impression. But it’s a… generic pop song that yes he’s the reason he messed up their friendship, and yes he’s still trying to confess again despite her being taken (and to many people’s interpretation, also a lesbian), and he thinks if he tries again he’ll be able to enter her heart and fix their relationship. This is such a funny song to release in pride month, but all the Till fans coming out of the woodworks to defend him piss me off. Also the colors of the teaser were way nicer.

>How did you find out about themRandomly saw and clicked on Round 1 of Alien Stage. Not knowing anything I was in shock and thought I need to see more lol
>Do you have a favorite character design or artworkI'm not caught up on the artworks and comics yet but I can say I like the recent art style in MVs more than the earlier ones, though the earlier art style fits the sound of its videos more. I like the designs and think the styling always fits the characters but the design choices in MIZISUA (the video) were the most memorable to me
>Have you watched their most recent projects (Alien Stage & Messiah Project) and what is your opinion on them I only watched AS and will check out the others once I'm caught up with it. Do the other works also have comics on Patreon?
>>509238>>509242I agree with you both… At least in Unknown there was some rebellious spirit in his performance but this song sounds a bit unlike Till to me. It's so bubbly. Lyrics wise, I thought I'm missing some lore because I haven't read most of the comics yet but it seems it's just a repetition of his confession? Maybe it would be better to release this song earlier as part of his "fastest selling album" but at this point in the story it feels a bit out of place lol but I'm so new to AS so maybe I'm assuming too many things

>>509260Yeah I don’t know why either since the original colors when inverted were the same as UTTE’s so it was a nice reference. UTTE’s cover’s color’s inverted also came out to be the same as the teaser. Yup I agree I think this is one of Till’s weaker songs, the VA did so well for both UTTE and cure! Which two completely different genres but he made it work! I don’t know why they didn’t do another rock song, but I’m hoping the next one is (this song is called part 1). And yeah it seems like they want to focus on Mizi’s role in Till’s life but I mean there’s more subtle ways to do that while also exploring the other parts of this guy?? His segyein is uniquely extremely physically
abusive (and let other aliens sexually assault him) but we’re not getting any information about that? Till is also getting content on Saturday for his birthday so I’m hoping whatever it is makes up for this…
>>509272Welcome nona! I hope you’ve enjoyed what you’ve seen so far and I agree the MiziSua video is so gorgeous and it’s done so well to help show Mizi’s state of mind. I think the next music video (coming out in late June!) will focus more on them as children vs adults so stay tuned! And I’m unsure about the Messiah Project I know it has an art book though. PBC does have some background/extra art on Vivinos’ patreon but that was from a while ago. Yeah people have mentioned it’s because this is supposed to show his more vulnerable & sensitive side but I wish it had the energy of UTTE. And yeah people have pointed out some of the lyrics are interesting and relate to the trauma he had to being separated from his mother which isn’t really something we knew about before the comic so yes it does sound really different from how he usually discusses Mizi. Yeah I agree too, the way they’ve revealed the songs/lore of these characters have been out of place. I think Sua didn’t get a comic or song until after Hyuna… even though she died first. And no your assumptions aren’t unfounded everyone’s kinda confused by the tone of this song and I’ve seen some call it the beta version of UTTE kek. I’m coping with this song by considering it just Till being unable to cope with the reality of alien stage so he decides to focus his efforts on winning over Mizi instead.

The last 24 hours have been interesting… Till got such cute birthday art as usual. And once again he imagines himself getting attention when IRL people are trying to celebrate with him. The teaser was interesting I’m most curious about the flowers growing over the side characters, since we know they’re cameras I wonder what that’s supposed to mean. Are they coming back to life? There’s a joke comic about Mizi bringing Sua back to life using astrobiology so maybe it’s possible? There’s also a lot of imagery around the heart and that one silhouette of someone in a veil. Some people think Mizi’s going to shoot Luka but others think she’s going to shoot Shins since she looks conflicted. And it seems like Sua tried to talk sense into Mizi at the end after all…. I’m wondering what yalls thoughts are.

>>510094i really liked this teaser it really shows vivinos liking of ppm imo. i like mizisua and my theory is that they never loved each other but had an extreme idealization/limerence. mizi viewed sua as a god but never listened to her problems (in the true face comic sua said somethin similar to the guy that slapped mizi and it was wrong of her because she wasn't seeing mizi's pain but at the same time mizi dind't see that sua was envious of her and that she also wante to be comforted) and sua never really opened up to mizi and imo sua wanting to keep mizi's innocence wasn't entirely selfless but also because by mizi's innocence she wanted to kinda imitate what was a normal life (mizi's mask of happiness) so in general i don't think either one of them saw each other as people and didn't have the chance to fall for each other's personality. i saw a theory that said that in the modern au they showed mizisua happy without each other because in another universe to be happy they don't know one another

Thanks for this thread, I’ve been wanting to talk about vivinos’ works with people but not on twitter/reddit kek
>How did you find out about themI first followed Vivinos on twitter when she went by inh__sy and made cute short animations. I loved them but I also understand why it started feeling dull for her. I love how her art evolved. I missed her posting Suki Suki Daisuki at first, but I saw her teaser for My September and it was so hauntingly beautiful. I saw the full video, then saw SSD and eagerly awaited her next animations. Beloved is my favorite out of all her videos, it felt so heartbreaking and “real” in a sense.
>Do you have a favorite character design or artworkI love Hyuna, her expressions, eyebrows, and flowing hair (her scrunchie/clip styles are cute too). Very cool and beautiful design,
>>507623 said the rest. I also have a lot of fondness for the orange-haired girl in Beloved and Gyaruko. Hard to pick a favorite artwork but I’m attached to picrel. It’s so simple and sweet but tragic.
>Have you watched their most recent projects (Alien Stage & Messiah Project) and what is your opinion on themTo be honest, I initially ignored Alien Stage for a while because it didn’t seem as interesting and I wasn’t into the sci-fi aesthetic. It’s definitely different but I ended up getting obsessed anyway (mainly with Hyuna) and I still listen to most of the soundtrack. Not sure how I feel on it story-wise. I liked the videos up until Wiege, which I found very lovely visually and musically but otherwise kind of a mess, they were cramming too much in and it just didn’t flow well for me. Felt like I had to pause at nearly every frame then rewatch again to enjoy it somewhat.
The way Hyuna died is still the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen. Her sacrificing herself I understand, but how it happened made me question Vivinos so hard kek. Tentatively looking forward to tomorrow’s video.
As for Messiah Project, I’m not really into the character designs(other than the sly-looking blonde woman when she wears that black high-collar suit) but I found the video pretty cool and stylish, I still listen to the song they made for it. I liked Qmeng’s Lies video so I’m interested in checking out future stories she creates.

I haven't really seen anyone else comment onthis aspect of wiege (to be fair I haven't seen much actual criticism on alien stage in general outside of this platform), I also thought Hyuna's death was very silly, considering how avoidable it was (Luka is short as fuck and clearly did not pose a threat to her) it seemed more for the purpose of giving her this big emotional self sacrificial scene with Luka than anything else, which seems cheap and I honestly did not care for that, when considering how pivotal she was in keeping the rebellion (what's supposed to be an important aspect of the story) active. If they were going to have her be shot, why make it at the hands of her own henchmen and not at one of the robot guards? They just shot Till a few minutes beforehand anyways so it's not like they weren't present (then again when you look at it that way they should've easily been able to take out Mizi and everyone else too), the logistics of it just never sat right with me.

I also love vidrel, it's my favorite MV she's put out so far, idk it's just so creepy and cute, and I just love the idea of a magical girl gone crazy with power (which makes sense given the maturity a pre teen would have with those abilities).

>>512203I don't get this scene either. They left Luka when they saved Mizi so they hate Luka to some extent, enough to not care that he's still in the death game. So now that the initial shot has been blocked by Hyuna, if the rebel shoots again, is anyone going to stop her/him? Even if it's one person's idea to shoot him, would the others care? I'm not sure if Hyuna's death would make them protect him or want him dead even more than before. I hope we get some clarification to the rebels' plans with Luka today, even if it focuses on Mizi mostly.

I feel like I've never been more bamboozled in my life. Okay so Mizi decides to cancel the rocket's launch because she thinks their ideals are a bunch of BS, hence the montage of where it turns out she either fell or tried to kill herself and Sua becomes so frightened that Sua decides to die in place of Mizi. Mizi lets it happen because Sua's expression in return frightened her/made her really upset. Sua practicing he death… not to mention all the imagery of love. I can't believe Till survived genuinely thats what surprised me the most after the rocket. And the fact that they made clone babies of the main cast and Luka's still performing at 37 years old and now Mizi's a run away witch. The VA for Mizi made a goodbye tweet to alien stage but Till still is getting another song… I feel like I have a lot of answers now at least, especially about MiziSua.

>>512211adding to this theory, in the newest video it said love was exploitative and even if they were free they would've still felt alone while showing the modern au (picrel) after this i just think mizisua did love eacho other but in a very toxic way, still no matter what universe they still would've been toxic, that aside i felt very bad for hyuna and isaac, i know alnst is known for grey characters but it was such an asshole move from mizi to ruin the rocket, but at the same time i kind of understand it(? earth was already destroyed and i don't think any planet had living conditions for humans, a lot of people liked hyuluka but i hated it tbh, luka stans always say "if you don't like toxic ships don't watch aien stage" but it was so bizarred to pair hyuna with her sexual assaulter, ik the complexity of their relationship is that hyuna is suppoed to hate him but can't but that was shown as something sweet and not horrendous not on parte of hyuna but the whole concept of reciporcated love between victim and victimizer, i liked that luka was still haunted by the ghost of hyunwoo. also the ivantill kiss was hot No. 512971

>>512877I had the complete opposite opinion, but I’m glad you’ve found some enjoyment from that.
>>512957I’m glad that wiege got addressed because people did think all of them but HyuLuka having separate sequences was weird, but it makes sense now that it was on purpose. Mizi saying love is exploitative but she’s later said to be a witch who is on the hunt for/only lives for love is interesting. And yeah I’m unsure if they would’ve always been toxic but they did start talking in canon because Mizi wanted “someone who could be crushed” and Sua had been bullied and envied by her “sisters”, was told to fear being weak by her sister, and treated like a doll by her “Mother” (who kek is said to he jealous of the attention Sua receives since she’s an influencer so that’s just another layer…) had a subdued weak demeanor that Mizi was attracted to. So I could see it being a common denominator if they had the same upbringings, universally toxic yuri… and yeah Mizi messing with the rocket genuinely shocked me and made me sad because Hyuna’s been through so much and she was trying to lead a rebellion she had just joined a year prior. Someone told me that though she had chosen her revenge on Luka over the rebellion at the end but it’s hard for me to really find that satisfying since she had suffered so much. I also agree with you, HyuLukas my least favorite ship because it feels like a manchild with his handler. Luka is able to be this confident conniving person who is able to understand his effect on other people but never the person he loves the most Hyuna. The SA scene is honestly weird for them to put in there if it was never going to go anywhere and if they were going to put a sequence of married HyuLuka in a video about Hyuna’s hopes & dreams. If they wanted to show Luka was aggressive there were other ways of doing that, and it sucks that we don’t get shown the rest of their time in the garden because I’m sure more people would have less sympathy for him if it were shown. He’s been through a lot but he also made Hyuna’s life utter hell for those 10 years they were together. And she’s still unable to reconcile with it even at 25… At least with IvanTill they’re both dicks to each other and Ivan’s forceful kiss (often called SA) was something he did right before he was going to die so it’s not even representative of their normal dynamic. The HyunWoo sequence was so chilling I’m glad Luka’s finally been forced to face him. At the very least I’m happy Luka no longer has his “cradle” and has to face reality. People say he got heavily injured by the fire which is why it took 7 years for him to recover and he still looks utterly miserable… Joy! And yeah I was both miserable and interested watching that sequence, oh Ivan how I yearn for more screen time from you… I also found picrel interesting, it was posted on Vivinos’ instagram months ago.

>>512971i have such a love-hate relationship with till because on one hand i relate a lot to him, but in the other hand ever since round 2 he pissed me off, a lot of people dont walk about this but the fact that till wanted catch mizi's attention right after sua died left such a sour taste in my mouth, like i get it it's technically well intentioned wanting to console someone who lost the most important person in their lives but at the same time i was like let her mourn holy fuck it's so selfish wanting to get her attention at that moment, like it came off as those people who hit on someone who lost their significant other a week later. he also at times made me feel bad/identified for constantly wanting the approval of other and mostly ivan, ivan was constantly a dick to till who was the person he was in love with, and never really recognized him as a friend, i think to till loved ivan but because of mating rules (in the true face comic they talk about how even in space and a dead civilisation sexism still exists) and ivan's constant mixed signals till never acknowledged ivan as a love interest, and used mizi who was someone contantly seen with ivan as a recipient for his love (it was never love vivimeng said that it was just admiration). i also am happy that luka is miserable kek No. 513030

>>512252Wow that picture is so visceral it made me catch up on Alien Stage and I bawled my eyes out.
That part where Sua's ghost hovers over Mizi cradling Till is kind of awkward though. I understand it's to convey she's lost her too and maybe so it wouldn't be perceived as a romantic gesture on Mizi's part. I don't know why I find it awkward I guess I want to see Mizi cradling Sua like that and not just her spirit hovering over her with Till in the way kek. Anyways, those scenes in the bathtub with Sua and Mizi were really haunting. It's got that touch that her old horror animations had somehow. Like that aching, heart-wrenching dread of feeling like the one you love is slipping through your fingers. I wish she really had barged into Sua practicing her death and held her like that for real. >>512203Something funny about Karma,
Mizi takes a gun, shoots Isaac, and grabs the laptop to shut down the rocket so she can destroy everything. And the rebels unsuccessfully try to stop her by beating her up. But not once did they shoot at her, even though she shot at a fellow rebel. They could’ve aimed at a non-vital part like she did to Isaac. Yet moments ago one of the rebels shot at an unarmed Luka, even though it was a huge risk shooting in the direction of Hyuna and other rebels, when they could’ve easily detained him.
Also I know they were focused on the mission, but the first shot of Hyuna’s dead body could’ve shown that a rebel or two attempted to care for her(on-site medics are necessities for a resistance after all), because now it seems like the rebels figured she was a lost cause and left her bleeding out onstage alone with Luka kek??
The resistance has been around for years (at least 15+ based off the patreon comic with little ivan). They acquired vehicles and weaponry which would require training, have a medical clinic, had the resources to build and launch a rocket (big enough to fuck up a stadium), and take months to plan missions. Yet on the mission they’ve been planning for nearly a year(at the least, referencing our diva comic), a rebel failed at basic gun safety and accidentally kills another rebel. Then suddenly a newbie shoots a rebel, takes over their plan, and they’re all at a loss of how to take back the laptop from her but won’t use guns now even though she used one on them. KEK. I get that these rebels are flawed and human, but it feels like vvmeng didn’t put much thought into the resistance beyond what’s needed for specific plot beats. And I’m fine with them not being a major writing focus as they aren’t necessarily the focus of the series. But it does feel cheap that
Hyuna’s death and the climax relies on the resistance being ridiculously incompetent, even though they’d been established for so long in-universe and successfully carried out multiple missions before. I still think
a meticulously planned operation being foiled by a traumatized rookie having a meltdown is a good concept, I just wish they put more thought into the lead-up and execution.

>How did you find out about them
I initially saw Vivinos in passing when she'd get viral for her animated gif art, turns out I used to follow her ages ago when she used to make Osomatsu-kun content. I discovered QMENG through Vivinos and her involvement with her animations.
>Do you have a favorite character design or artwork
Picrel would be my favourite out of nostalgia since its one of the first artworks I saw from vivinos, the way she drew fem Ichimatsu is enchanting. As for her animated work, my favourites would be Jordan River and Beloved, I still listen to the songs on loop because of her MVs and have nastyona on shuffle. As for QMENG, I'm really intrigued by Marie's design and her role in the story, especially during that one segment in the star shine symphony MV where shes smiling happily with blood(?) on her face.
>Have you watched their most recent projects (Alien Stage & Messiah Project) and what is your opinion on them
I'm not heavily invested in Alien Stage's lore but I also share the common sentiment that Hyuna is hot as fuck and I wish she had better justice in the latest MVs. I really like the OST for AS however and I've been looping Karma for an entire day straight after its debut kek, the instrumental part during the bath scene and ending scene is incredibly emotional, I get reoccurring chills when I reach those parts when listening to Karma on its own.
I'll admit I'm not too familiar with SuaMizi's dynamic aside from the content I saw in passing and MVs but I think my one gripe is the arms race on creating the most "toxic yuri" to the point that SuaMizi contradicts each other as an actual couple. The fact its theorized that mizi + sua at their happiest would in a universe where they never met at all or the two will never really be in love with each other no matter what leaves a bitter taste in my mouth, especially when a dynamic like Hyuna and Luka can have a requited relationship in an AU and partial reciprocation of love in canon. I guess I'm tired of non-fluff/dark yuri tropes always resulting in tragedy (one or both dying) or the two not actually being in love in the first place (atp I just interpret it as a toxic friendship) you can still have a turbulent relationship with drama and stakes without actually breaking the couple yknow?
Also idgaf about Till and how unfair it was he got to live while Hyuna died a ridiculous death; the earlier comment itt pointing out the plot discrepancies of the revolution also cemented this, maybe its my Hyuna bias speaking, but god I love Hyuna it should've been Till instead
