Here's a few things about Nick's history that might provide some points of research/amusement for anyone whom wants to go in depth.
Nick got his start in commentary by calling into Tommy C' SFTP (Shot From The Point) and eventually was accepted to be a part of Tommy's News Team (essentially unpaid fans whom help with the show providing co-commentary, news-finding, tech support, etc.
Nick began producing minor commentary videos of his own including one that caused a bit of a stir when he made a minor criticism of Nerd City a much larger creator and friend of the SFTP show which is where the two confronted each other but although things got tense with Tommy's help things were smoothed over (although this would be a pre-lude to a much larger controversy much later during Nerd City's take on a certain Lae Lae Pons video which Nick was highly critical of touching off a minor war in the SFTP circle but let's not get ahead of ourselves.
Nick's first big break would come during the infamous "Youtube Wake Up" era. Inspired by the incident a group of youtubers got together headed by Twoon (formally Toon) and including figures such as Indigo White (adult film actress and "trad-thot" whom was featured in several of the "trad-thot" threads here), as well as BWC (Black Wolf Company), Bowblax, Skully (at the time both Blowblax and Skully were co-hosts of AugieRFC), and a number of other minor youtubers.
Twoon, whom had long been trying to expose a number of underage teenage girls whom were using Instagram as a way to sell creeps their nudes and getting no where fast trying to convince and/or shame them into stopping for the most part saw this as a way to get Instagram's attention. Indigo also helped spear head this (Indigo herself was known at the time for making a lot of "daddy dom little girl" and "little sister" content on Pornhub which may or may not have played a role as some have speculated). In any event after tracking down a number of these girls and the creeps buying from them the group managed to get their hands on a mega-folder of CP put out by one of the creeps, which they saw as a potential smoking gun to take these predators down and to finally get Instagram and the authorities to respond to their numerous reports on both the girls and the creeps buying from them and probably to grow their channels and e-fame as well (most have admitted to that).
Toon now planned a video called "#WakeUpInstagram" however while hew was working on it Indigo White went to two (at the time) bigger youtubers after the group had met with little success trying to get other big channels to try and cover the situation. However Ethan Ralph and Andy Warski agreed to cover it live and the resultant shit show can only be imagined (Youtubers were in no mood for another scandal after the Wake Up Youtube incident).
Twoon dropped his video a little after and by now the youtube commentary community was out for blood worried that this might lead to further problems for youtube and youtubers.
Mostly unaware of the shit storm bearing down on them (accept for Indigo whom had beat a hasty retreat back to Pornhub) the group decided to hold a stream on AugieRFC (Augie had not participated actively in this whole thing accept to host the show in fairness (there are conflicting reports as to how much he did/didn't know himself).
The stream turned, inevitably perhaps into guest after guest coming on to yell at the entire bunch for being idiots and causing potential trouble, not waiting for the authorities to respond before making videos to cash in etc. This included Josh from Kiwi Farms, Keemstar, a then lesser known John Swan, and so on. The stream intitled "Twoons Response" is still available on Augie's channel as well as Twoon's "#Wakeupinstagram" video on his channel as well as a five hour stream on Tommy C's SFTP I think it's called "The #WakeUpInstragram epic backfire" in which Blowblax called in and got largely blamed for a lot more then he probably should have (as even Tommy admitted later once it became clear that BWC and Skully had played a much larger part then Bowlbax would admit to at the time). Warsky and Ralph's stream including the re-upload by Teaclips I think got taken down along with most of Teaclips Killstream type content because of some change of heart Ralph had about allowing them. Obviously all the originals were removed by YT during the bannings.
What makes all this relevant to Nick is that not only did he call into Augie's show to blast the group but he also made a video "The inconceivable failure of Instagram Wake-Up" This was an important video for Nick because while it did not pull big numbers or anything it did set the tone of a lot of his future videos style wise and helped establish a budding reputation within commentary circles themselves which would lead, in turn to a much more important series of videos for him involving the NCO (New Commentary Order), Keemstar, Suzy-Lu and would firmly cement his role in the up-and-coming commentary YT community.
Which I'll go into in another post. If you actually read all that I'm both impressed and appalled. So again why is this important? Well in some ways it isn't we're here to laugh at Nick and his sillier moments mostly but it does help understand (for anyone curious) how he got to where he is today, and also partially why his attitude is what it is.
All of this is ancient history of course which is why (hopefully) I saged this but it is an ironic chapter in his career especially if you consider that AugieRFC, Bowblax, Nick and so on would become friends and co-hosts.
This to be clear not in any way meant to praise or for that matter degrade Nick or anyone else just info (that anyone can find by the way) that hasn't beem mentioned here.

With the Instagram video Nick was starting to get noticed if not by the general YT audience just yet, at least by other commentators but this was not without it's own costs.
It seemed that he'd attracted been doxed by none other then the infamous Zoom aka Godspeedlive (I think?) whose various doxing exploits for anyone intrigued can be read about on Kiwi Farms (don't think he has a thread here that I know of).
In any event as a result Nick, as well as his mother (I believe might have been grandma) had been getting prank calls, pizzas deliveries, Koran copies etc. and Nick was concerned about a possible SWATing although all this was behind the scenes for obvious reasons he didn't want to make the situation worse by drawing attention to it.
However, certain events were in motion that would change that. A youtuber by the name of JustDestiny (not to be confused with the more famous Destiny) had come under criticism by a younger commentator named LT Cobra, just a little before the Instagram thing for the use of minors in his commentary video thumbnails doing the things he was talking about them for IE skimpy outfits, controversial behavior etc, kind of Dr Phil type stuff. LT Cobra basically implied that Just Destiny might have had less then pure motivations for making the thumbnails as he had and hinted that Just Destiny might be a nonce (pedophile).
Keemstar decided to run a Drama Alert on it and made the rather ill advised decision to ask Just Destiny who was being interviewed "Do you touch kids?". The result was not only an angry denial from Just Destiny but also a lot of back lash from fans and even (gasp) sub-loss on Keem's part… Which he did not take well.
Keem decided to enlist the help of the NCO (New Commentary Order) a group of youtube commentators whom had actually made the group (headed by TRO (TheRightOpinion) in order to escape Keemstar's influence in the commentary world to find out just whom Just Destiny was and if in fact he had any convictions related to child abuse or pedophilia.
Most of the NCO was oddly willing to welcome Keemstar in despite the group's goals and only Tommy C's SFTP refused point blank privately arguing with TRO but to no avail. In the end Tommy agreed to leave the group in protest on the condition that Nicholas DeOrio be allowed membership in his place which TRO agreed to with some relief. What they didn't realize as that DeOrio was in fact supposed to keep an eye on and record everything that went on and ALOT went on that night.
Eventually the group, having also enlisted the help of an lawyer managed to track down the law firm which Nick actually went to where Just Destiny had filed against LT Cobra, however it turned out the place wasn't a law firm at all meaning it had been false.
That wasn't enough for Keemstar whom at that point had already made a failed attempt to get Nick to jump ship and come work for him instead of Tommy, Nick refusing to being talked into it despite Keem's best efforts (which he recorded by the way).
Next Keem set the NCO to work (at this point TRO had gone to bed and Keem seemed firmly in charge) in tracking down Just Destiny's dox, they managed to find a name and went from there going through criminal records to see if they could find him.
Eventually they found a match with a much older prison inmate whom had the same name but was quite a bit older then Just Destiny. Despite attempts to rationalize that it could still be Just Destiny (mostly on Keem's part "you know they say if you have trauma at a certain age it can sometimes freeze your vocal cords so he could sound young but be much older") eventually he had to bow to the fact there was no way the inmate could have been making the uploads to Just Destiny's channel from a prison cell in the time frame for the uploads.
After a long night the group finally however managed to come up with Just Destiny's real dox. Keem wanted to confront him right away with it (at this point he'd stated on the recordings several times that quite apart from "protecting minors from a potential predator" he was also upset over the incident on Drama Alert and "revenge" was also a factor. However the NCO by this point seemed to have come at least a little to their senses and managed to talk Keem out of it.
However Keem later sent Just Destiny's dox to LT Cobra himself, the young youtuber whom had accused Just Destiny of being a potential nonce in the first place and telling him to do with it as he would.
Nick had recordings of the whole thing of course which he and Tommy went over privately arguing about releasing them. Eventually they agreed to wait for the moment at least especially with Nick's own doxing situation still going on. As a final note word got back to Nick that LT Cobra had been given the Just Destiny dox after LT Cobra made a few indiscreet comments here and there. Cobra refused to just give Nick the dox which Nick wanted as evidence but finally agreed to sell it to him.
Now Nick had most of what he needed to make a video that would actually change his role in the commentary community forever, and to expose Keemstar (whom had used an IP scraper during the call for the Drama Alert show which was how they were able to track down Just Destiny's dox).
But for a variety of reasons he choose to wait on putting one out.
And then came the tipping point, then came Suzy Lu, which I guess I'll go into in the next post since this one is getting kind of long again.
Again this neither in defense or detraction of Nick, or any others mentioned. Just info that is well known in YT circles but hasn't been brought up here. This might seem like a bit of a ramble but if you really want to figure out how Nick ended up on LOLCOW it's perhaps best to find out just how he became whom he is today and why his attitude is like it is now.

While all this was going on a small but as it happened important incident was taking place.
Suzy Lu was (and is) a long time YT figure at the time mostly concentrating on gaming which she would record or stream (I think mostly record) and upload to YT. On one such occasion while playing a VR game after finishing it the beauty was enough to move her to actual tears and to remark "It felt sooo real!"
Now as it happened another YT (whose name escapes me at the moment forgive me) cut that segment of her gameplay into a clip as an intro for his own gameplay, exaggerated the "soooooo real" part with a little editing and added in a a meme clip of the "Stop it get some help" from an old commercial. Maybe not the nicest thing in the world to do but it did fall under fair use under YT TOS.
Nevertheless he got hit with a copyright strike by Suzy Lu and what's more when several commentary channels began to report on it they got hit as well.
All this got worse and worse until Augie RFC decided to do a stream on it entitled "The Great Destruction Of Suzy Lu" (I believe I got that right). Anyways Nick was there along with Tommy C, Tipster, Bowblax and then co-host Skully and of course the fellow whom got the initial strike as well as a few others.
Suzy did not appear on stream at once instead her boyfriend Sturgeo (I think?) defended her while she was out "walking the dog". The argument over fair use and copyright went back and forth with Sturgeo whom claimed to be a non-practicing lawyer arguing with the others for quite a while. Eventually however Suzy came on herself and agreed to show her flag history (which would show any copyright strikes she'd made) however she showed only a screen shot of a partial history and then left.
Keemstar had joined the call a little earlier and while he remarked that he didn't want to make a Drama Alert on the situation after she refused to show her flag history fully and then just left he said he was probably going to have to make a video on her now.
The others took that to mean he was and over all seemed to feel it was a good night's work especially since she had agreed to remove the copyright strike against the initial fellow whom had used her gameplay.
However as Nick and Tommy and other smaller commentators made their own videos and streams on the subject the bigger youtubers like Keemstar remained radio silent. And the flagging from Suzy Lu continued.
It was during a stream with Nick as co-host on Tommy's channel that after a series of rather ironic figures came out in support of taking action against Suzy Lu (Matt Jarvo (boulders), Alinity (tried to copystrike Pewds), and Twoon (Instagramwakeup) that Keemstar himself came on.
Oddly Keemstar seemed smug and playful about something and kept demanding to "be exposed" taunting Nick and Tommy with it until finally Nick came out with it and remarked on the Just Destiny dox.
Keem did not deny it instead he smugly proclaimed that there was nothing they could do about it. This continued later that night on AugieRFC's stream where he again admitted that he'd doxed Just Destiny and taunted Nick that if he tried to expose him in a video nothing would happen to Keem and Nick's YT carrier would be over.
And now we come to one of the reasons I wrote up all this, is to understand Nick you have to understand where he's coming from (or was at the time) and what his motivations are. Nick responded to Keem that he was fine with that as YT was just a hobby for him, being in college and working towards a different carrier, and that having met most of the youtubers he'd wanted to meet and done most of the things he'd wanted to do where youtube was concerned even if it all ended today he was okay with that.
Keemstar seemed a little less smug after that and when Zoom joined the call briefly to taunt Nick about his doxing (Ethan Ralph although joined briefly mostly to yell at Zoom) by the end of all that Keem seemed almost … well anyways.
When it was all said and done Nick made his video, exposing both Keemstar and the NCO as well as Zoom I guess (not that he needed it with all the stuff he'd already done) with both a video in which he detailed the night of the doxing of Just Destiny and also a upload of the orginal uncut audio recordings he'd made of it all.
In the aftermath Keemstar as he'd predicted remained largely unaffected mostly because no one seemed that much surprised and also because a lot of his fanbase probably never even saw the video.
The NCO was another story. In the wake of the controversy they broke up the group, several including TRO came on AugieRFC to tell their stories, and TRO was moved to tears several times as he tried to should er the lion's share of the blame.
As for Nicholas DeOrio, he had now become though still not that well known at the time outside of commentary circles on YT within them one of the more at once respected but also feared and mistrusted figures in the commentary community. It would be several years before anyone outside of his friends would think about inviting him into a group and even then usually just as a guest.
He had achieved yes, but at a price. There is always a price.
It's strange today to look back on that time and then at the events that led him to be on LOLCOW and to wonder.
Perhaps in some way… Well anyways as always this is all old history it's neither meant to lionize Nick or demonize them. Just trying to understand who he was and whom he is now, that's all.

Nick's YT career continued to grow as time went on, but how did he himself end up on LOLCOW of all places?
Well let's look at a few of the points in his career that might have helped shape his current attitude and reactions. We know about the Anti-O thing (see earlier in this thread) and that might have contributed certainly. One thing that hasn't been brought up so far is the Slazo incident.
Slazo was a youtuber running in ImAllexx's circle and was in fact staying as a guest with him for some recording stuff (I think) when his ex-girlfriend Chey came out saying that Slazo had raped her presenting evidence such as text messages between the two with Slazo saying things like "It's rape time" among other things. Worse still sh e had the backing of a number of well known youtubers including ImAllexx himself and as it later turned out they had been planning this with Chey for some time.
While some commentary channels were quick to jump on the band wagon, others like DeOrio, Tommy C, etc were more cautious about jumping the gun. They managed to set up a meeting with Slazo and after talking with him and getting the context of a lot of the texts it became clear to the Slazo was being set up.
In a rare move a great many of the commentators in the YT community came together to spread the word. Keemstar, Tommy C, and Clown reunited for a reunion episode of the "Baited Podcast" with the original cast voicing support for Slazo and going over the details. Other big commentary names like TRO pitched in as well with videos, and naturally Nick put out one as well. Live shows like Augie RFC took up the call as well, and even a number of commentators whom initially had believed the allegations, issued retractions and joined the cause.
The results were that Slazo did at the end of the day have his name cleared of the false allegations however there would always be some whom would doubt and with the sheer amount of videos made on him positive and negative his name itself became associated with rape in suggested search results on YT.
As for Nick, it had a deep impact on him, and discussing it with Tommy C on Tommy's SFTP show Nick remarked that he planned to look into some of the other cases where ImAllexx had accused fellow youtubers of things like rape, pedophilia etc. The results of what he'd find would probably have an even deeper impact on him and perhaps would be an even larger step towards where he is and how he is today in some ways.
