I just had an eye checkup. I wear almost exclusively circle lenses now (with a few exceptions) and I wear them all day. I started wearing circle lenses about two years ago. My eyesight was already horrible and didn't get worse. My eye doctor always runs the full range of tests on my eyes because of my bad eyesight and family history. Nothing at all is wrong. I asked specifically about whether my eyes are getting enough oxygen and he said yes, no problems there.
of course everyone's experience is different. I only buy a couple trusted brands of lenses and I clean them well every night after taking them out. I throw them away on or before the expiration date. I never let my lenses touch water and I don't wear them in the shower or pool.
