How you nonnas deal with having an obscure/embarrassing husbando? I really love that one charcter from a cult classic media with a small fandom (at least with a small creative fangirl side). I know maybe two people that like him and think that he is cute, so at least I'm not the only weirdo here. But I love him so much that probably I can be called his number one fan. When I saw my husbando for the first time, I fell for him immediately and he is my sunshine ever since. I think, maybe for 6 years? It's so embarrassing. Most fangirls simp for popular husbandos with huge following and shitload of fan art and fics about them. Well, at least I can keep him all for myself.

(For a note, he is a normal human male with good looks, so I'm not a weirdo who simps for Sqiudward or whatever)

The problem is, I'm totally obsessed with him and maybe to an unhealthy degree. Wich is weird, since as I said he is a pretty obscure charcter. I don't have a tulpa of him or whatever weird shit guys at r/waifuism do, but I feel like one of them.

It helps a ton if you are a creative individual yourself and can make your own food, otherwise be willing to spend a little to commission artists and writers to do the work for you. He is, at least for me, a perfect mix of cute and hot.
I loved when he felt bad for the animals and played with the bear cub, also how nice he is to Asirpa, but he looks so hot when he's all bloodied.
I'm still at the beginning (I just started reading it and I'm currently at the 3rd volume), so I don't know if I'll change my opinion or get another husbando down the line, but so far I think he's perfect.

kek, a real fear of mine with some husbandos I had that I'd get possessive over. It's different with the latest ones, now I'm more casual about them and love sharing them, but there's one in particular that I have lingering feelings for, and I still get kinda mad when I see someone who loves him in the same way I did.
This unpleasant reaction was much stronger back then, but at least I rarely paid attention to what other fans of his did because I avoided fandom most of the time, and knew that he would not choose someone else just because they drew him "better", I worked to improve myself and mature (I was still in high school) just for him. Ultimately, what made me drop him was that, in my mind, I couldn't possibly compete with a canon love interest he had (one-sided) and how people shipped them almost all the time. Maybe now I'd be able to ignore that, though.
I guess I have to move on at some point.

There's more than just Keychain and prints! Stickers, pins, pillows and even plush and shirts/jackets have been made by fans. A lot of the bigger items like plush and the clothing are usually pre-orders so once that time period passes it can be very difficult to find them again. Etsy is a good place to start looking but most artists announce their wares on twitter. Non western artists usually sell on Pixiv or sometimes even taobao but you'll need a shopping service for those. There's so much good doujinshi out there.

My brother used to rent anime from Netflix and some of my earliest memories were watching the shows with him. This little rascal. I was only 8 and didn't know what a husbando was but I had strong feelings for Sonic as a kid. I guess what I liked about him is that he seems like a cool, fun and silly guy to be around with that goes on adventures and has a big good heart. Just listening to some of his music had me feeling pumped up and it still does honestly. My brother used to play his games as I watch then later tried two of them on the Game Cube. I remembered naming a Chao with my name and felt giggly thinking of Sonic taking care of me. On Saturday mornings I used wake up early just to watched his anime on tv even though I'm not a morning person myself so getting up was pretty hard. Sometimes whenever an ice cream truck stops by I used to buy popsicles of him and yes the ones with the funny eyes. I found this concept art/model sheets on the wiki and it made me wonder what he'd look like if the series was animated in 2D, especially since I'm not a fan of CGI and appreciate 2D animation a lot.

This is how he became my husbando about a year ago:
I was reading some random TVTropes article that I found, and watched the example videos at the end. The second/third video was that scene from season 4 episode 1, where Sofia finds out about Cedric's true intentions of taking over the kingdom, but at that point they're already friends so he feels guilty. That was all I needed to become infatuated with him and start watching the series (only the episodes he's in tho). Before finding that video, I didn't even remember that this cartoon existed.

You can just emulate it, you know? The only console with a lot of otome games on it that doesn't have a decent emulator yet is the Vita, but a lot of those games are untranslated and/or have another version on another platform.
Yuzu and Ryujinx are the two emulators for the Switch, and it seems that they can run Collar x Malice without any issues. You just need to have a 64-bit operating system (which you most likely do).

I'm OP of that post and I actually think he's not that strong of a character as a role in the movie, they basically write him to be whatever is needed to be a problem for the Bebop crew so he comes across as fragmented and not in the way that's about his lapses in lucidity. One moment he's a lonely broken man who's not all there and the next scene he's calculated to rope at least two people in his plans to blow up a city while smirking about it. So when they wanted some shitty Faye 'fanservice' they used him detrimentally when it doesn't line up with the other pieces of his characterization. It could've been anyone, just to get Faye's tits on screen. I blame these types of scenes on Japan's retarded attitude towards on sexuality and women.

Still, his backstory, what Electra remembers about him, and the glimmers of what he might've been like in the past is what I find so compelling, other Bebop guys just don't do for me. Spike's ridiculously cool but not my thing, all the other guys are even smaller one-offs or just plot devices for him (Vicious).

You might already know this, but have you ever heard about how in Japan people have this Astrology-like belief that blood type determines your personality? That's why so many Japanese media characters have their blood type listed in their character introductions/profiles.
Now, in TMGS, all the personal info you give at the beginning is there not only for self-insert purposes (even though some stuff like blood type or room style might seem completely irrelevant and useless from a gameplay perspective), but also to determine some things like your starting stats and the first female friend you meet (room style) and your horoscope for the whole 3 in-game years (birthday/sign and blood type).

Anyway, I'm so glad that you've tried it out, I hope you finish at least one route someday (it took me a couple of years to finally pick it up again and fully enjoy the three games there were at the time, after my first try), always love it when this fantastic otome series gets some love from new players.

On a more on-topic note, three of my husbandos came from this series (actually one but the other two came pretty close to my own standard of what I consider a "true husbando"). Two are even in the same game lol. TokiMemo boys are really good and there's a nice variety of them.
I recommend looking at a guide on GameFAQs or something to get the hang of the gameplay quickly. Also 3 is the best game out of the 4
