After actually playing through most of the Aranara quest they really aren't that much like Koroks afterall besides the idea of forest spirits. Their role in the story is completely different, and the designs remind me more of Keroro Gunsou.

That said, the Aranara quests are enjoyable and I like that they fully relate to the main quest instead of being random NPCs nobody gives a shit about. Inazuma was so guilty of the latter that doing them was like swallowing broken glass because none of them told me about the world lore. Even Enkanomiya was just so out of place I still have half of the quests undone because I can't be assed to finish them. It's like they switched out writers for Inazuma and made shit up on the spot while Sumeru feels like a much more natural continuation of where we left off in Liyue.
Also the people who complain about the game being boring and stupid should really consider going outside and finding something more enjoyable to do than lurking a thread to whine about how much they hate a Chinese gacha game they're somehow still playing or at least invested enough in to check an imageboard thread for.

It's torturous that they make the male characters so fun and interesting but leave them with subpar kits or functional with a niche composition. At least Kazuha and Bennett are the best combo in the game but I wouldn't be surprised if they released a female Kazuha equivalent to coddle moids like they did with Yelan to Xingqiu.

I feel like such a fake fan for finally starting Razor's event even though he's my favorite character and my main loyalty to this game. It's been 2 years and we finally get some backstory he's deserved! I just started and I'm really liking Lisa. Just tried the Chinese dub and Kaeya sounds great in it too. Someone mentioned once that Kaeya's Japanese voice is too played and comes off as sleazy, etc. and after hearing the different voices I now see how the jpn va is kind of playing a caricature. Korean could be so perfect, but Bennett sounds like a 6 year old and it's killing me. One of the few things jpn got right was a more boyish voice for him. I believe that this chart is calculated by ordering the chars in order of their datamined heights (picrel). But OP ignored how tall they actually are in relation to each other.
The datamined heights list Ningguang's height as 1.80 meters (5'11), and Beidou and Jean's heights as 1.73 meters (5'8). In the chart, Ningguang is about 5'11, but Jean is about 5'6, and Beidou around 5'8. If you load Ningguang and Jean/Beidou onto a team and swap between them quickly, it's pretty apparent that they're very close to the same height. This lines up better with Fandom's estimates of 170, 170, and 171 cm.
There should also be a significant jump in height between Venti and Jean. In-game, Venti's eyes are at about the level of Jean's chin. Qiqi is also monstrously tall for her proportions in the chart kek. Lolis always look kind of uncanny but this is too much.
The datamined height most likely represents the height of their vertical collision box rather than their apparent heights. This mostly lines up with their apparent heights, but it seems like it's handled somewhat arbitrarily for characters with hats.
Unfortunately, this chart seems less accurate to the in-game heights than the Fandom.com estimates. I do think this chart more-or-less makes sense for fanfic or headcanons, though.

I crunched the numbers for funsies. If you lost the 50/50, bought Welkin's, did every event (assuming low-to-average event frequency and primos), got an low-to-average amount of maintenance primos, got 27 stars in each Spiral Abyss, and did every commission, you'd
barely make it to 180 rolls by the last day of Scara's banner, assuming it's the first banner of 3.3 and lasts only two weeks. Any extra primos you earn from unexpectedly high event rewards, quests, opening chests, battle pass, etc could safely be spent on Nahida's first banner.
But still, assuming you won't miss a single thing is a bit of a gamble in of itself.
Now to be the devil whispering in your ear:
It's exceedingly rare (<1% chance) to not hit pity until after 85 rolls. Taking that chance would free up 10 rolls.
At 80 rolls, the cumulative probability of having rolled a 5-star is 91.8%. There's only a 0.67% chance of having to exceed 80 rolls for a 5-star twice in a row, and you won't have to even make that gamble unless you win the Nahida 50/50
and lose the Scara 50/50. If you're willing to gamble on that, too, that's another 10 rolls.
It seems like you're going to roll for Nahida eventually anyways, so why not roll on a little on the banner that has the 4-stars you want?

Collei's symptoms have been mentioned to be completely stopped by Dottore's experiments and seeing how he's been meddling with gods' powers with the false god shit, it could be connected to them. Sorry for spazzing out about this but it's a very interesting thing to think how it ties to the world as a whole.

Can I just share a cute wholesome moment even if it’s kinda blogposty? I babysat a 5-year old and he asked if I had any games. I said no but he saw the genshin app icon on my iPad and wanted to play. We ended up playing for two hours in Mondstadt and he was having so much fun. (I made him a child friendly team without the fan-servicey characters and he doesn’t speak English either so it was very age appropriate, I wouldn’t let a 5-year old touch the game otherwise). He loved playing Cyno and got so excited when he beat up some slimes. It really made me realize how fun genshin is when you’re a complete clueless beginner and just run around picking up berries in Mondstadt. A nice break from the scrotey anti-husbando wars on twitter and ship sperging here on lc. It’s such a simple and childish game when you play it with a kid. He said "this is a very calm game" which I thought was such a refreshing take, compared to what the metafags are painting it to be.

I really liked Scaramouche before and wanted to get him but his redesign killed my +1 year hype for him. No matter how much i dislike certain aspects of genshin ESPECIALLY the fandom, I always come back to it because honestly speaking… another game like it doesn't exist. Genshin is a free game that can be fully enjoyed without spending a dime, and if you choose to spend money on the gacha the characters you get are actually valuable (unlike png collectors) because you can play as them, it's open world with a huge very diverse map, amazing graphics, very comfy gameplay, it gets updates every single month, you can create basically any team comp you want, it has a bishounen cast (god knows how hard is to find playable bishounens in 3D games), some slight dating sim elements and the story is really not that bad, I mean some RPGs have it even worse in terms of writing. Genshin at the very least avoids anything controversial so it's unlikely you'll see something that sours your experience. And we talk about the female characters being coomerish but frankly, games like fire emblem don't have it much better and some of the girls are really not that sexualized in the first place (hutao, yunjin, ayaka, layla, faruzan)
Obviously there are also cons such as boring, uninspired NPCs that clog the screentime, the characters are all basically just tropes, some quests are a slog (the main problem is still the writing kek), it gets super repetitive after a while and if you want an actually challenging game, it may not be up your alley. But it's still the only game of its kind because if you want a similar experience the only one I can think of is zelda and you need a switch for that, it's really costly

However, since Venti said that Vanessa is the child of Murata around like 1000 years ago, there is a possibility that Murata died during the archon war right? We don’t know if there is a new pyro archon. Especially since Murata is based on Himeko Murata from honkai, who apparently is dead rn. Although I don’t like doing honkai parallels with lore.
