I found her today and I am really enjoying her content. She does your typical "youtube commentary" kind of videos, but it's great background noise. I also really enjoy her accent, kek.

No. 468994

She makes videos on different lolcows. In general, I like the structure of her videos, and the topics she chooses.

Oh my god! I used to watch her all the time, but she made weird comments about rapists and how sad it is they are alienated and I stopped watching kek. Otherwise solid recommendations, anon, I watch most of these creators.

I have a very vague memory of it. She was commenting on a video, and it had something to do with a community housing for sex offenders. She made a comment on how sad it is that these people can't be reintegrated in society because people judge them. I will look through her videos later and try to timestamp it. It kinda sucked because I found her videos very entertaining.
>Agate Ariel
She makes videos about rocks and rock tumbling. She kinda has an annoying voice but you get used to it. I use her videos to make me fall asleep.

I know I posted her in the last thread but J Draper has such an awesome channel, she uploaded this hour long video about the women's suffrage movement, mostly in the UK. I've only watched half of it so far but it's really interesting, and horryfing to learn what these little Edwardian ladies went through just so women could get the vote. Highly recommend watching

No. 475293

Been wanting to share this for a while, I like her unpretentious discussion of this movie and how most YouTube essayist miss the point entirely because they (moids) can't admit this is a movie about the difficult transformation from girl to woman with fame and idol culture as a backdrop.

holy shit nonna THANK YOU this video had been sitting in my recommends for like a week, but I never clicked on it assuming it was just some boring scrote. but this is incredible. we really need more women making stuff like this, currently men seem to have a monopoly on the "insane but never acknowledging it" genre

No. 483810

I found her last year through let's plays of her games on other channels and I was completely awestruck. This woman is: a solo game-dev, a vtuber, a singer-songwriter, a composer (writes her own music and music for her games) and a multi-instrumentalist. I don't know what she can't do, I'm so in love with her creations and her mind. Her music is so good as well, and lyrics just hits too close home, I'm obsessed.

If you know or are learning Japanese, I recommend 好事家ジュネ (Dilettante Genet). She talks about goth subculture, edgy/macabre things, and サブカル more generally. She's incredibly knowledgeable about obscure media and seems quite well-read (she runs a blog where she writes about criticism, travel, etc.) Also, she's super cute and seems like a really sweet person.

Here she is breaking down the movie Angel's Egg. I originally found her through a video talking about Nightmare Before Christmas, it was cool to hear her gush about one of my childhood favorites and explain the American holidays known as Thanksgiving and Easter.

No. 483838

Bernadette Banner is one of my favorite youtubers to put on when I need a boost of like, positive creative energy. She does fun experiments like this, but most of her content is related to historical fashion. Very educational and relaxing, highly recommend although I'm shit at summarizing.

No. 485539

Pearl recently blew up as a smaller youtuber motivational/self help creator.
I watch her videos at x1.5 speed and its so healing to hear her female rage and energy that pushes you take charge of your life.
All her videos are about shaking the people pleasers awake to be authentic over the 'good girl' who doesn't ask for much and gets nothing in return. Check out her other videos too, she is really speaking to a lot of women with this experience, and helping them break out without the 'dark feminine' or 'villain era' or other random consumerism rebrands buzzwords.

I really enjoy Dream Jelly. She has a relaxing voice and does topics a millenial can relate to. I'm not a burger so the north american (pop) culture is always interesting and funny to hear about! She also does videos about games like Sims or or Nintendo games. I didn't want to plug a video but just show a short ss of the style of vids she does.

ABSTRACT is a channel focused on covering less sensational/misogynistic true crime stories. She puts in a lot of work, research, and care into her videos and is so far, the most respectful towards the victims. She also 3D models simple dioramas of the crimes so you can “see” what happened. Very cool, to the point other channels are copying her style.

Waackxxxy is a world-class dancer who’s gone on to win several international-level dance battles. She’s a professional dancer, dance battler, instructor, and youtuber so this is a chance to watch someone who’s basically the best at what she does, explain dance battles and break down dance routines to the average laywoman.
Waacking can look different from our idea of dance at first so there can be an adjustment period, but watching her gave me a better appreciation and understanding of dance.

No. 500185

Woah so I can watch her videos to get better at dancing? That's so cool. The other day I was thinking how east Asians seem to take these things more seriously and are just better at it and I want to learn from them because I just prefer their approach to it.

No. 500198

>>500185
She doesn’t make dance tutorials or specific “get better at dancing” tips afaik, but she does dance battle reviews, dance competition show reviews (for a specific series called Street Woman Fighter that she was on season 2 for), and invites a lot of choreographers who explain their thought process that went into creating their routines.
FWIW the east asian dancers I see often admire the specific type of groove/rhythm that those from the US/AUS/etc have that can’t be taught.

No. 500214

>>500198
Unfortunate. Thanks for the rec anyways. And while they do appreciate it, I think they look more graceful and have more interesting moves than their western counterparts. I never looked at a western choreography and went "I want to learn that!!!" but any 2000s kpop R&B dance is so mesmerizing to me and I want to learn it. The exception being Britney Spears.

tomei. Her videos are beautiful and calming it puts me into this tranquility.
