Have you ever found anything interesting on the deep web? I mean, aside from scams and CP.
Discuss your findings.

Can someone seriously explain this stuff to me becasue I really don't get it.

No. 10871

I don't fuck with that shit. I'm scared of it.

That image has to be a troll as there's barely a piece of truth in it.

The deep web is any part of the web that search engines can't reach. So that 80% includes your email account, social profiles, and even your Tumblr if you've disabled search indexing.

In regards to the dark net such as Tor, there is nothing worthwhile there. Obviously there's CP and drugs but stuff like hitmen is mostly made up. Any stories about AI etc are fake creepypasta from 4chan.

If you're a developer and into security etc the "hacker" forums are interesting just to see what sort of precautions the serious criminals like card skimmers use (P.S. they don't rely on VPNs).

This. All of the true "creepy" stuff, you won't just find through Tor. Tor is mostly cp and drugs. You won't even find a mere snuff film with Tor. A lot of the shit on there is fake and made to fuck with people anyway.

No. 10956

I'm pretty sure all the campfire stories about the fucked up stuff in deep web are mostly fabled. It's just drugs, hitmen and CP at worst. The really fucked up stuff is most likely crypted and shared privately or on invite-only services. If you could find this shit only by clicking on a hidden wiki onion link, FBI would bust pedo rings a lot more.

i've seen the typical drugs and hacker forums and cp. i laughed when i found a textbook torrenting site once.

i get the feeling that now that a lot of news channels and tv shows like CSI have sensationalized the "deep web" that there are a ton of 15 year olds who download the tor browser bundle and jump in expecting darque and edgeee shit as soon as they're online and get super frustrated

Snuff films don't exist, nevermind CP snuff.

Technically the sort of stuff at theync.com is snuff (beheadings, suicides, etc) but usually when people talk of snuff movies it has sexual implications.

I was the same way when I heard of it. I never bothered trying to venture the deep web because I was afraid I'd stumble upon something by accident and have my door kicked down.

To anyone interested in "diving", you can turn off images (and I think videos?). Let's just say you should.

My personal belief is the deep web is just a honeypot set up by officials to monitor the CP, illegal activities and so on. No matter how private they say it is, it was developed by the government so I have a sneaking suspicion they know how to find people. Never used it because of this… not that I care about anything there. The only stuff I've ever found "tame" was some weird gay faerie cult (I wish I was joking). Maybe someone has a link to it? It was kind of a strange thing to put it on the deep web of all places.

No. 11008

>>11007

Channers claim that everything is a honeypot these days (while happily handing over their money to third world VPNs). Sure Tor was created by the DoD but so was the internet itself. Tor is open source so if it was a pure honeypot it would have been discovered by now but there could still exist various exploits which is true for anything.

As for the Anarchist's Cookbook, every teen in the 90s and early 00s had a copy of that. Although I don't know how accurate it was in regards to the 70s original because the versions I've seen have contained dumb shit like getting high from nutmeg or banana skins. You sometimes see such references in 90s/00s teen movies which shows you how widespread it was.

"Back in my day", the big IRC networks were full of CP fserves, as were all the new P2P protocols. Thus I don't have much problem sailing close to CP shores but if you're some social media newfag I can see why you might be scared.

I've found some funny things on the old big FTP servers hosted by IBM, Adobe, etc but probably the craziest shit is stuff I've been sent on Yahoo Messenger, MSN, etc. I'd tell the story of the craziest but I guarantee no-one would believe me.

isn't there enough evidence on daisy's destruction as to know it was definitely sexual, definitely cp, and definitely a murder? (they even found her corpse, it's right there in the news).
i don't think it's even that hard to find the video at this point, i just really don't want to.
with how easy it is to find cp and gore on chans i have no doubt snuff is real.

The basic gist is that some white guy sent me pictures showing his life as a castrated slave to a black couple. It was never said but I got the impression that he was told to message white people to try and get a reaction.

Yahoo was full of roleplayers (just like everywhere else) but this guy had photos for everything. He said he owed the black man money and it did not seem to be consensual.

For the record, Daisy's Destruction WAS real. The police found the recording and verified that it's legit and it had a 13-year old girl abusing two toddlers. Articles mentioning the guys arrest say he accidentally killed a girl and buried her in his backyard but they never say it was filmed or what age she was.

Public knowledge.

>- a website to 'pay' for a hitman, it was like 20,000 or something like that but the payment had to be in bitcoins

Before DreadPirateRoberts was busted nobody took the hitmen sites seriously. Because DPR was considered a libertarian hero the US government wanted to ruin his reputation and did so by releasing transcripts where he paid DEA agents to kill old business partners. The media then made a big story about "hitmen on the deepweb" but there is still no evidence that the hitmen sites are legit.

>-a drug selling website

Silk Road was legit but I wouldn't trust any of the new versions.

>-a website about men who mutilate their own penis/genitals. kinda like a forum

I can't remember it's name but I've seen it because it's always in the Hidden Wiki. There's sites like this on the clearnet not to mention how extreme BMEzine used to be back in the day.

CP and JB used to be listed on the same page of the Hidden Wiki as everything else. If you never saw them it's because the first time you used Tor was less than ~2 years ago.

Are you talking about the arrest of Peter Gerard Scully? If so, pretty much nothing that you wrote is accurate.

The only reference to a possible real snuff film (as in Videodrome style erotic snuff made to be sold) I can find is this: http://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/475207/Police-did-nothing-to-track-down-victim-of-child-porn-snuff-film But if you look more into that story it seems that the reason none of the info was passed on is because the police aren't convinced the video is real. As for the genital mutation, you can find that on the surface web. It's as easy to find as those necrophilia/gore sites. If you want to use the most broad definition of a snuff film possible then sure there's loads of them out there. Liveleak, theync, etc upload new ones practically every week. Even stuff from WWII and Vietnam probably qualifies.

But if you are going to stir up a panic about made for order CP snuff on Tor then you are banging up against the definition of snuff used in past moral panics and are giving credence to conspiracy theorists and crazy Christian housewives. You can't make up details about arrests in the Philippines or claim "its really not that unbelievable" without providing proof. If anything your anecdote about webcam shows just shows that it's probably more profitable to keep victims alive.

Do you not see the canyon of difference between someone legally crazy like Luka Magnotta uploading a video of himself vs a professional snuff studio somewhere in Asia?

i think snuff means sexual videos that involve torturing and killing people.

i live in venezuela and a few years ago there was a scandal because some people raped, tortured and killed a 5 year old kid. They didn't film it, but the autopsy confirmed sexual abuse and torture, even old torture scars. he was carried to a hospital before dying (mother said he fell off a motorcycle, yeah right) and the details are pretty horrible. there's pictures too, but i had enough seeing them once, they're not difficult to find anyway.

this is the most important newspaper in venezuela, so it's a reliable source: http://www.eluniversal.com/caracas/sucesos/111206/imputaran-a-cuatro-mujeres-y-un-hombre-por-nino-muerto-en-guanare

if this happens in a normal third world country, i have no doubt that it happens in a place like phillippines where child prostitution and traffic are a thing.

you say people are naive for believing in creepypastas but i think it's just as naive to assume everything is just a creepypasta.

Unfortunately stories like the one you linked to aren't unusual even in the first world but the existence of murderers does not prove the existence of snuff films. Again, there is a world of difference between someone abusing a person under their care vs snatching multiple people off the street and sharing videos of their murders with the world.

Even some serial killers in the 90s taped their murders and parts of the recordings have shown up in documentaries over the years. However they are not considered snuff films because they were not made to be distributed. Luka Magnotta's film is probably the only known film that was made to be distributed but then you can argue about whether snuff films require a commercial aspect (distributing VHSs implied an evil businessman running a commercial enterprise but that's not true with file sharing on the internet).

It's not naive to ask for evidence that something exists. Sure, maybe someone has made a genuine snuff video and sold it to their two best friends but that's an exception that proves the rule.

well if it wasn't for stuff like love146 i would also say that child sex trafficking is just a creepypasta and that there's no way there is a big business of selling and buying little girls to be your slaves, that all that is just a ghost story made up by conspiracy theorists and crazy christian housewives.

buying a film must be cheaper and safer than buying a person, easier to hide in your house too. for the seller as well, selling and distributing ilegal films must be a lot more difficult to track than selling and distributing little girls, as they murder the evidence in the first place, not to mention a single film can be sold many times to different people. i don't get why is it so difficult to imagine a bunch of fucked up people in a basement wanting to make money out of the kids they couldn't sell, like, it's very likely to happen, i don't see how that compares to conspiracy theories. k, they don't show up on the deep web we get it, but neither does child sex trafficking, does it?

It's easy to imagine but it doesn't make it real.

>k, they don't show up on the deep web we get it, but neither does child sex trafficking, does it?

The UN, EU, NGOs, etc publish details of girls they have rescued, people they've sent to jail, etc. Plus every now and then it makes the news. That is hard proof that child sex trafficking exists.

Do you have similar proof that a snuff industry exists? Every news article I've seen about snuff films has turned out to just be media hype over Cannibal Holocaust or similar films.

>it's very likely to happen, i don't see how that compares to conspiracy theories

That is the conspiracy theory. For 40 years people have been saying "it's possible so it must exist" and yet so far nothing has turned up. If you ask them why nothing has turned up they say it's being covered up by the Bilderberg's demon worshipping sacrifice club or something else ridiculous.

Didn't that guy from the Silk Road try to hire a hitman to kill someone? I don't think the existence of hitmen in the deep web is THAT doubtful, but most likely them announcing their services on a forum isn't very plausible, the more believable way is to get in touch with someone via careful connections.

>>11975
I personally don't think the snuff "industry" exists because raping or torturing someone is one thing but killing is another. It's hard, messy and the body is hard to get rid of, you need a solid alibi to single yourself out from the suspects but you'll still probably get caught sooner or later. But there's still a possibility of some gang in a country like Russia or some South Asian country producing them since there are a lot of kids without parents or any connections that just don't exist after being killed.

But the illegal porn content in Tor isn't like your basic porn site where you pay and get your video. To my understanding, they trade the movies instead of selling them. It's way safer than just selling the video to any shmuck for money since it's a sign that you're actually in the business for real. So reaching this content isn't simply logging into Tor and going to hidden wiki.

I literally just watched the 60 Minutes episode you mentioned and even in that the police aren't sure that a video of the murder exists.

When asked directly the Filipino agent says they haven't seen a video but "a leading partner of the accused" claims to have seen one.

The primary partner of the accused is Carme Ann Alvarez who in news articles is reported to have said that the murder was accidental. So maybe the murder was filmed but the video was never sold because it's not what the customers wanted.

Until the police claim that a video was made and distributed then there is no proof that Scully made a snuff film.

It seems like Peter Scully is being charged separately for creating "videos of rape/abuse" and of "murder". A lot of people are conflating the two charges to mean that Scully produced "videos of murder".

Does anyone know if it's possible to obtain the details of the charges against Scully? Does the Philippines DOJ publish that sort of stuff?

totally agree with you on that one.

the way she described how the "normal" modeling gigs slowly spiraled out of control made my skin crawl. i'll try to dig it up again, if anyone's interested.

One of my distant family members was a hitman who sold drugs on tor. There was this guy who wanted to get his uncle killed to inherit his money (he was a multimillionaire) and he got my family friend to do it, I'm pretty sure he talked to him through Tor and was a customer of his.

This hit obviously got caught, 2 years after the uncle was dead when someone tattled on my family member. That's how all the tor stuff came out (re: the drugs) but they lived across the street from us and there was a SWAT team and helicopters the night they came for the guy.

He's like my second-cousin twice removed or some shit, I would get the article out but it wasn't a popular story AT ALL and the last name is very unique and his mom googles for him like every single day. He went to prison for 25 yrs.

That's really interesting. Regardless of that one anecdote though, the odds of finding a real hitman on Tor who isn't a cop or scammer is still extremely, astronomically low.

Do you know if your uncle knew the guy in some way, or was he a complete stranger who just happened to sell drugs to him, or what?

Objection! Read into the Detroux affair. Just because something is so innately terrible that you don't want to believe it, it doesn't mean it's not true. A known conspiracy theorist sure is a great source, right? If you look up Marc Dutroux from reliable sources there are no mentions of snuff films or pedophile networks.

Until someone actually gets caught and sent to jail for a snuff film and it's all reported in court documents (media reports don't count, they always claim ridiculous things) then the logical conclusion is that snuff films don't exist. Of course there could be secret networks covered up by the government but there could also be aliens covered up by the government. It's fun to spook ourselves with theories about what's possible but in the real world you have to draw a line.

Other than CP and drugs there is nothing there that isn't on the clear net. All the stories are people making shit up.

It reminds me of the internet in the 90s when there were rumours about FTPs hosting NASA secrets about aliens and stuff. The fact that you could easily find some stuff like the Anarchist's Cookbook was taken as "proof" that there must be even juicier documents out there. Shows like the X-Files really pumped up these beliefs as well.

Nobody believes that shit anymore but the rumours about what's on Tor is the same type of bullshit.

Unrelated, but
>Although a one hundred percent confirmed psychological disorder, MPD/DID remains quite controversial in the public's eye (for those who even heard about it). It's true that DID is a complex disorder and sometimes hard to wrap the mind around (pardon the unintentional pun). But this is largely the result of a lack of information, and if any of the politically correct arguments are stripped away, the real underlying reasons for the controversy become quite simple.

>First of all, DID is intrinsically linked to the most extreme sexual and psychological abuse against children. In 97 to 98 percent of the DID cases, victims talk about having been sexually abused since a young age (43). It's not uncommon for DID patients to give details about abuse that sound so bizarre, horrifying and huge that, no matter what the evidence, will take some time and repeating for the average person to accept as even a possibility. Protected child abuse and -torture networks involving well known individuals would be a primary example of that.

>The second reason is that these networks are protected by those involved, who apparently have the power to make sure that very little information on these networks appears in the public domain. Additionally, a rather small, but very influential group of "skeptics", organized around the US-based False Memory Syndrome Foundation (FMSF), have been doing a counter-attack since the early 1990s when reports of ritual abuse became a little bit too widespread (44). This group has done everything in its power to convince the public and the psychology community that all DID is created by incompetent psychologists. Because of an incorrect way of asking questions, these psychologists would have inserted certain "false memories" in their patient's minds. Even though more than a dozen board members of the FMSF have been accused of child abuse themselves, have come out in favor of pedophilia, or have a past in mind control research for a whole range of intelligence agencies (45), virtually no mainstream media ever felt the need to consistently point that out.

Holy shit. Now where are the anons who keep insisting DID is a fake mental disorder?

I very tentatively and on-topic asked her about Peter Scully and her entire facial expression changed. She said she was afraid to go outside of her prefecture because child prostitution is rampant and the currency exchange rate makes it so that average white pedophiles can move to the Philippines and be filthy rich. They're scattered everywhere there and are often involved in large scale pedo rings. She focused on perfecting her English and finding a husband overseas because the amount of abuse and death around her had her falling apart.

The problem with snuff not existing is that porn for EVERY fetish exists, and people being killed turns some people on. Drawings may not be enough for them and they'll want the real thing.

I agree that it's EXTREMELY rare and probably borderline impossible to get, but it exists.

Only example of legit snuff off the top of my head is that homosexual russian killer dude, he hung young boys naked and videod it. The thing is, if you get into strict semantics,
>killing people and videoing it for the explicit purpose of sexual gratification
is actually not considered "snuff". The most fetishistic videos are almost always taped for personal use among individuals and their… friends. That it leaks onto even the daytime internet is another story (you can find more on certain Encyclopedia Dramatica articles, for example).

For it to be considered snuff, it would have to be created for the explicit purpose of being SOLD. Like the difference between sending a nude privately and getting a Playboy photoshoot, someone out there is getting paid.

Admittedly the confusion probably stems from the fact that the connotation behind the word pornography has been diluted.

I reported it, but never got the typical "blah blah we received your report thank you" email from Tumblr staff. It might still be up because he just liked stuff instead of actually reblogging it (which means it would've been smarter to report the blogs he liked shit from, but whatever). Either way, I don't want to go back there.

I had the internet back in the late 90s and would just spend hours clicking through bbs boards and whatever now-boring stuff I could find. I enjoyed the intrigue of stumbling onto something 'secret' and I had no fear, the clearnet was already niche enough that it didn't take long to find bizarre things. Maybe it's because I was young and everyone was gullible back then about 1337 haxxors but everything seemed cool and exciting. Heck, search engines could send you to the most random places, rather than just wherever Google now decides it profits most to send you to
But now, I actually really don't want to see horrible gore or CP and I don't want to risk being put onto a list for stumbling upon it, so I don't feel I can go exploring anymore.
