Why are there girls that use that board instead of coming here? Is it just you people having a laugh?

Personally i dont think lolcow itself isnt really that well known compared to 4 chan, lolcow is like the younger sister version of that forum

Easy way to attentionwhore. Don't really need depth or anything, you'll still be worshipped by losers you'll never date.

I guess some people just like browsing the internet.
Pretty sure there are a lot of dudes here too.

I frequented there a lot a few years ago. Some of the threads I could relate to, being of the lonely neet persuasion, but once I figured out how gross the majority of the dudes there are, I left permanently. It was an interesting environment to "study" though. Obviously, I never revealed my gender because "there's no women on the internet." Which, I agree with the original sentiment, not the neosexism it's turned into.

I personally knew a girl that started posting on /r9k/ for the intention of befriending shut-ins and neckbeards. Her reasoning was that she was a shut-in NEET too and wanted company but I think she just wanted a surplus of male attention. To no one's surprise the ended up acting like assholes to her, so she bailed. She was a tumblrina and a hamplanet so I can see why she'd be going for the bargain bin equivalent of male attention.

I frequent /r9k/ for several reasons.

1. havin a laugh (have you ever been into one of the women hate threads? Comedy gold.)

2. trap threads

3. i'm also semi-NEET and friendless, and if the thread isn't specifically about dating/having no GF, I can actually relate and talk to some anons who feel the same way. I just don't reveal that I'm a grill.

I'm surprised how many people pop up occasionally saying they had a relationship with a robot.

There are at least two have been assaulted when they met up with guys from /r9k/, one had the guy attempt to trap her in his apartment and rape her.

Why do they do this?

I used to browse there, because i would feel so much better about my own life. But i stopped, because at the end of the day it brings you down.

I never browsed /rk9/ but I did browse /b/ as a pre-teen. Eventually I grew out of my edgy pre-teen humour stage (you can only take so many of the same crusty, old, recycled jokes) but I feel like men are really childish and perpetually trapped in that mentality.

same
also i feel as if /r9k/ is more active than this place

No. 196814

I got started with /r9k/ when it was first made and was mostly entertaining greentext stories. It was hard to drop as it devolved into woman hating garbage because it's kind of addictive to argue with people online. I could go all out with misandry if they're doing the same with misogyny, and it was kind of like venting that also made me angrier.

I haven't spent time on there in years though. Just got bored of it all and found other boards I preferred.

I don't know if you noticed but the traffic on here is pretty slow compared to 4chan. And i don't care if i surround myself with women or men on the internet it makes no fucking difference. I only care about the content and r9k has good content sometimes. Only men get buttblasted when someone of the opposite gender enjoys the same things they do.

No. 196819

I find the topics more interesting over at r9k. Plus I can visit every day and there's lots of new topics to read, but here I only come every week or two to read new threads since there isn't as much activity there.

I relate a lot to the NEETs and outlook on "life" at r9k.

The posters there are funny and creative. They make me laugh.

But I like both places, they're different. One isn't really a replacement for the other for me.

/r9k/ is legit funny sometimes, but I tend to ignore the most negative threads like woman hate and depression threads, because I know they just bring me down, and focus on the funny shitposting.
