No. 221614

>>221613
original is 4koma, and most of it is weird shit, which is fine i really like it. but pte seemed more like a collection of weird adult swim commercials than anything else. i just wish it would have been more formatted like nichijou where there's no real plot, but the sketches kind of flow into eachother, but then, even just making the random pieces longer would have been fine. some stuff was on the screen for like a second. if there would have been more funny bits i'd have liked it more tbh.

No. 221619

I totally agree. I was highly skeptical of it becoming an anime as the manga works in a very short and blunt fashion. It really didn't translate well into an anime IMO but I know it's going to remain popular because of memeworthy bits. It reminded me of an anime version of vine.

I'm really enjoying A place further than the sky. I've grown tired of the moe 4nin group of girls do something trope but the characters are interesting. I actually hate seeing the ending theme because it means I'll have to wait another week.

just started yesterday to watch F-Zero: The Legend of Falcon. I'm years too late to this but a while ago I just discovered the anime that base on one of my fave (and now dead) game franchises that I loved as a young teen. Idk if it was ever released here in Europe, but even though I feel like I outgrown anime a long time ago and not really living for the generic early 2000 anime thing (and being def too old for it), I still will watch the whole thing because it warms my heart a bit that I discovered something new about something that I didn't expected to get something new.

Any farmers here lazily browse ecchi?
I wouldn't consider myself bi or lesbian or anything, I just like looking at female bodies. Especially ecchi that is less trashy and more fun to read because it's comfy and slow paced and the girls are cute.
This is a pretty old manga called Toritsu Mizusho! which basically means School of the Water Trade. It's about girls who become prostitutes but high class ones. It's incredibly goofy and a fun read.
Even though it's an ecchi which I assumed was for guys, it feels like a woman wrote it. There's hardly in your face fanservice and it's more like sex comedy. It also has some tips that they use to keep weaselly male clientele in line. I'd recommend it.

I feel they should drop the female voices, it’s way more funny with the male voices. It bugs me because if both parts were exactly the same I would just skip the half with the female voice actors and watch the 11mins of the male voice actors instead but in episode 2 if you watch both parts it’s slightly different with a change in the scene during the IRL voice actors scene. worries me because if in future episodes they keep changing odd scenes i might have to watch the whole 2 versions of each episode REEEEEEE

I have only fully watched 4 series of anime and all of them I fucking loved, but I have also watched countless other series, like 1 or 2 episode, and just been so put off by all of it.

I am a serious noob when it comes to any of it and so my tastes are super particular, I spend more time disliking it than I do liking it but when it hits the sweet spot I like it more than any other medium.

I have watched and loved, in order of preference:

1. SteinsGate

I have really enjoyed: Parasyte, Beserk (film trilogy), Psycho-Pass, Ajin, and the first season of Death Note. I enjoyed only one Fate anime (the one with the giant Cthulhu monster) and I got very angry at No Game No Life because there was a slick up skirt of a little girl in the first five minutes and I didn't watch after that.

Watch the original 1996 anime series. The film really leaves out tons of character development. Better yet, read the manga. The films don't do Miura's art any justice. Still, the anime series isn't bad at all. Anything is better than the 2016 (?) stuff.

I caught up with Black Butler, both the anime and the manga. The movie is great, too bad the zombies are in 3D. I hope they'll adapt the Weston arc soon. Also, more about the manga but is it me or is Tanaka hiding something? The recent flashback makes me wonder how he survived the attack in the manor. And who the fuck is Undertaker? He's most likely a family member of the Phantomhive but I'm starting to have doubts. And also I REALLY didn't expect "Ciel" to have a twin because of how things are translated in the official translation in my country.

It's not terribly original, though I think it's different enough to be its own entity. I don't really see the similarities between it and EVA other than teenagers piloting robots and some scenes directly referencing EVA, but the latter is really just nods to the original and plenty of anime does this.

The world-building ended up being pretty interesting. That and the history and relationships of the MCs and supporting characters are the series' strong points. If you want to give it a go, I'd advise watching until episode 15 (maybe 16) since it starts going downhill not long after that. Zero Two started out kind of annoying, but episode 13 explains a lot of her weird ass behaviors and obsessions.

YMMV, of course. I started watching it for the laughs due to the way the robots are piloted, but what I mentioned above drew me in to watch more. Episode 13 also really fueled my fondness of it due to my penchant for Beauty and the Beast inspired romances.

Prefer the white/zebra stripes pants on Mista, still fine with the orangish/tiger stripes though.
Fugo looks meh, his silver-y hair + red suit looked way better and they fucked with his cleavage a little… At least they didn't use the cheese outfit.
Fugo and Giorno are going to look like cosmo and wanda on screen together, but I guess green was the best choice they could've gone with if Giorno is pink. Everyone else is pretty much the same.
Doppio is probably going to be purple, which I'm happy about. Super excited to see him vomit razor blades, dorururururu, and eat a child.

Quality is mediocre as expected (lol'd at the ps3 era cgi bus), but Bruno looks beautiful and that's all that really matters.

Anybody know where I can watch the new FLCL online? I love fooly cooly but I kept missing it on Adult Swim. Anyone here seen it? I don't care about spoilers.

I'm just happy it's airing so soon. When I read part 5 it was the old shitty scans and I struggled to follow, finally I'll know what's going on once it's animated.

The entirety of part five is right here in color if you still wanna read it, anon. https://mangadex.org/manga/6270/jojo-s-bizarre-adventure-part-5-vento-aureo-official-colored

I'm salty for Narancia's VA, they should've kept a female one. Pink Giorno outfit is fine, would've preferred the blue one but eh, no issue with that. Also I watched the first episode and Giorno looks older compared to the manga? But okay, not that important.
I'm also pretty salty for the "taste of a liar" scene, it was really anticlimatic. It's an iconic scene and I feel like they didn't try at all.
But aside from this, I'm hyped and ready to see one of my favorite JoJo parts finally animated. I'm happy that they replicated the character design from the manga (imagine the DiU artstyle on VA… eugh) and the OST already sounds 11/10

very disappointing. it doesn't fit at all, and is like a weird alt-universe of the first series. no one really wanted to do it but adult swim paid them to. i'm not looking forward to the 2nd one either tbh. otakustream.tv has it.

Me too! Male va on narancia is very weird… Agree about the taste of a liar scene too. Even the version in the shitty ps2 game felt better imo.

Super late to the party on this one, but as a Gundam/mecha fan I didn't find much that pleased me in terms of that in darlifra. The characters were kind of fun and it's enjoyable in terms of their interaction, but just from a mecha fan perspective I can't say it'd be worth someone's time if they didn't particularly like the characters.

I like Trigger generally, but I think people act like everything they make is going to be the best just because they made it.

I-It's not very good Anon. I've been watching it with my bf (who was a HUGE fan of the 1st one) even he is falling asleep on this one. None of the characters are memorable and they're so boring. Like even Haruko is boring. It's gotten 'slightly' better in the recent episodes but it's about to be over soon anyway. If it wasn't for the first season I would have dropped this a long time ago. The main chick is bland as shit.

Summer 2018:
Chio-chan, Tsukumogami, and Asobi asobase are the only things I'll likely look at of my own volition. My brother and sister in law will probably show me something else though.

Anyone watching Banana Fish?
It's looking very good, the voice actors are amizing(even if the blondy sounds and looks way too much like Yurio)

I read the manga so I’ll probably watch it at some point. I’m still not happy with the studio changing the setting to modern times instead of keeping it in the eighties after the Vietnam war

I do want to read it thank you, I will after the anime though. I find it harder to stay interested in a series if I've just read the manga and already know what's happening.

I'm watching Banana Fish, along with Chuukan Kanriroko Tonegawa and maybe the new season of Free. Also thought about checking out that badminton show, forget what it's called.

Would you recommend the BF manga? I really love the style of it so I've thought about reading it if the anime keeps my interest

Yeah, the manga is pretty good. I really like the art style it has for most of it (kinda reminded me of Katsuhiro Otomo) and it’s rare for a manga to take place in the United States. The translation is kind of Americanized but it’s not bad.

Aw, that's disappointing. I'll still probably watch it because of my love of the original and just to say I saw it.
