do you have a balcony? even if you don't there's a bunch of plants that can survive with minimal sunlight!

I've got about 15 house plants right now. They're all pretty common ones that are easy to care for, like snake plants, a bunch of different pothos varieties, bromeliad, etc.

Pic related is my favorite variety of pothos, called "neon pothos"

I have a few cacti that I've managed to keep alive for almost a year. They're nearly twice as big as this photo now but they look very handsome here.

Used to take care of the yard of my apartment building a lot, I just don't feel like doing anything anymore.

I'm growing an aloe vera plant and a bamboo plant right now. I used to have 3 more plants but I had to leave home for 2 months and no one else cared for the so they died. It was really depressing since I grew those other plants from seeds, and watched them grow every day.

Oh fuck yes! I'm moving in a month and I'll finally have the space to grow things! I want a small vegetable patch in the middle of my backyard and either a maze or edging of the property with beautiful dave austin roses.

I love plants so much but I'm not very good at taking care of them it seems. Really want to be a green thumb and raise lots of big green boys. I think I'm better at keeping fully green plants over flowering ones.

I love plants I want flowers and plants everywhere at my home.

Right now I have a few succulents, including a Schlumbergera that I got from my mother (it's really easy to do cutting with this plant). I also have a chlorophytum and my absolute favorite, a small citrus tree.
I used to have a miniature citrus tree but it's still at my parents'. My SO knew it made me a bit sad so he bought me a bigger one for my birthday.

Does anyone else give names to their plants ?

my plants are like my Pokemon, I desperately wanna give them cute nicknames but everything I come up with is retarded.

I have an umbrella plant that's so cute

Do you live somewhere warm? I desperately want a lemon tree but most people in my climate that have tried growing it even indoors had it die or produce tiny shriveled fruits.

Depends on what you call warm ! I'm in the middle west of France. The citrus at my parents' was very small but did make tiny lemons (I kept it indoors, though, it's colder where my parents live). The one I have now should make some but we had a heat wave this week and I think it burned the lemons that were growing, sadly.

Thank you! It's such a unique species. The caps take several years to get as tall as this one. I love it so much

It's all about research and practice. I've killed like 15 cacti before getting the hang of them and now have a very healthy colletion. It's all about learning from your mistakes and bouncing back.

What the fuck kind of plants can survive in minimal light besides the potted ivy I have in my room right now?
I wish my window sills were longer. They are tiny. One is against my bed (which I'd still put plants there if the sill were long enough to fit some) and the other window is facing a house.
If my room were better I would have so many plants.

Snake plants are incredible for low-light,
I've kept some of mine in almost zero light and they still grew.
Peace lilys are also really good.

Does anyone have english ivy, hydrangeas, or calla lilys? mine are dying for no reason lmao

had to Google the english-ish name but Google a plant called "zamioculca" doesnt really need that much Light.

hydrangeas indoor or outdoors? supposed to be outdoors. god i hate ivys they always die on me too. and in my country we only use calla lilies as like bouquet flowers or however u say it

I keep them outdoors, They're on a west facing balcony so I think it might be the heat, the blooms will start coming but right before they bud they die off.
