Their most brilliant minds couldn’t figure him out.
>Democrats ’90s-style centrism will march on, by a sociological force of its own, until the parties have entirely switched their social positions and the world is given over to Trumpism.
>Can anything reverse it? Only a resolute determination by the Democratic Party to rededicate itself to the majoritarian vision of old: a Great Society of broad, inclusive prosperity. This means universal health care and a higher minimum wage. It means robust financial regulation and antitrust enforcement. It means unions and a welfare state and higher taxes on billionaires, even the cool ones. It means, above all, liberalism as a social movement, as a coming-together of ordinary people — not a series of top-down reforms by well-meaning professionals.

victim mentality moids have. Like women are more likely to abuse kids since they're the primary caregiver, a lot of women end up killing their kids due to PPD. I have seen countless stories about mothers abusing their kids. I have never once felt threatened because of this. I have never once felt like I was being attacked when people criticized these women. I don't understand why moids think this is personal. Who looks at a group of people doing horrible things and thinks "this could've been me!!!".

Found this comment on Reddit that points out a major statistical anomaly that only happened this election:
Something someone else posted in another thread.
I posted this in another thread yesterday but similar to what you’re saying:
There’s something interesting to look at. Let’s look at a sampling of major swing states that also have Senate elections this year: Nevada, Arizona, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. Trump is projected to win ALL of these yet for four out of five the Democrat is projected to win the Senate election at the same time, and the fifth it’s neck and neck with the Republican barely ahead while Trump is way ahead.
I know people don’t always vote for the same party for president and senator, but they usually do. Here’s the current voting numbers to compare and see the disparity:
Arizona
D: Senator-1,360,000 vs Harris-1,310,000 (-50,000)
R: Senator-1,353,000 vs Trump-1,492,000 (+139,000)
Nevada
D: Senator-675,000 vs Harris-678,000 (+3,000)
R: Senator-654,000 vs Trump-724,000 (+70,000)
Wisconsin
D: Senator-1,672,000 vs Harris-1,667,000 (-5,000)
R: Senator-1,643,000 vs Trump-1,697,000 (+54,000)
Michigan
D: Senator-2,708,000 vs Harris-2,724,000 (+16,000)
R: Senator-2,687,000 vs Trump-2,804,000 (+117,000)
Pennsylvania
D: Senator-3,327,000 vs Harris-3,364,000 (+37,000)
R: Senator-3,369,000 vs Trump-3,510,000 (+141,000)
For historical comparison, in 2020 there were NO states that voted for one party for president and another party for Senate (the only arguable one being Maine that gave electoral votes to both parties for president so whoever they voted into the Senate would contradict part of the state regardless).
As well, in 2016, there were absolutely ZERO states that voted one party for president and another for Senate.

what no one is pointing out is that voter patterns changed in 2020. most of the democratic vote shifted to mail-in ballot. fat rigger trump told his people to vote on election day and couldn’t overcome the deficit. so he threw a fit and in doing so managed to get information about all our country’s voting systems, which was then given to musk, putin, and possibly bibi to rig the election for him. all of them needed the fat rigger to win, too. it’s a simple story in the end, and not unbelievable imo. it’s been reported on for months. rachel maddow has reported on it. so has the atlantic. joe and kamala and the doj know it was rigged, too.

I don’t give a fuck if “division” is what the Russian propaganda bots want and we’re missing the point to cut Trump supporters off; this is inexcusable to me. I have far more respect for conservatives like John McCain who can sit elections out and not vote for people that don’t represent their values. It hurts knowing my own father sold his daughters out for the “economy”, especially when Trump’s economic plan is unanimously worse than Harris’, according to ~100 economists surveyed. He really voted for the “economy” when Trump’s tariff policy alone is gonna raise the price of every item by $2 and increase inflation. It’s just heartbreaking honestly.

>>2253956>>2253953My final answer is that results look the way they do because they hacked the election. At first I thought that MAGATs might have mobilized to stuff the ballots because they’re THAT crazy and determined (see: Jan 6th), but all of the counties going overwhelmingly red would be impossible to do in-person without being caught. My final guess is that someone electronically altered the results to add 100k votes for Trump per state among various counties to ensure he won the EC. That’s why some counties don’t make sense (like Cobb County, GA going blue and Fulton County, GA going red). And it’s fake as fuck, I know Trump supporters, grew up conservative, and IME republicans would never leave the rest of the ballot empty because they are absolutely terrified of the democrats due to their Fox News propaganda. They always vote against democrats whenever they can and even normies would probably fill out the rest of the ballot.
Now everything else we’re hearing about with the iPads and the ballot box burning wasn’t really part of the original “steal” but just crazy MAGATs trying to rig the election themselves. Still, it’s criminal behavior nonetheless and I hope Trump doesn’t get into office or else everyone involved will be pardoned and appointed to various positions of government as he already promised kek.

>>2255186Cubans, who are the biggest group coming over in recent history, have no incentive to immigrate legally and exclusively stand to benefit from immigrating illegally. They gain residency 1 year and 1 day after arriving in the US and they don’t face the same risk of deportation that a lot of South/Central Americans do both because of their status as a protected class and because they usually come here illegally and stay with their already established families they can afford to do lower-risk under the table work like renting Uber accounts to do food delivery. They also gain access to federal financial support services that not even Americans have. I have a coworker who immigrated legally from Cuba and he complains every day about how much he regrets it and how he wishes he’d just done it illegally because he would be a citizen by now but instead has to pay out of state tuition for community college because they won’t recognize him as a resident of the state. Democrats are making a huge mistake in not pinpointing Cubans as the specific ethnic group proliferating MAGA ideals the most AND benefiting the most from illegal immigration, and they don’t care at all about illegals “ruining it for everyone” they don’t want Colombians/Venezuelans/Mexicans/Haitians/etc to get to enjoy the same prize as them.
>>2255181 worded it the best except for the fact that it’s largely newer immigrants, a lot of whom can’t even vote yet, being the most vocal about wanting Trump to win because they think it “proves their Americanness” the same way trannies think wearing an unironed circle skirt “proves their femininity”, except trannies will always have confused normal people to validate their delusions, no one is going to validate a MAGA immigrant’s weird desire to be white because it’s not only regressive but also so neurotic and likely incomprehensible to the average white democrat, who likes immigrants because “they freaking cook good” and isn’t concerned with their interiority or actual “lived experience” because they’re only dealing with them as individuals in passing
I do think the debate over dems failing to reach latinos is besides the point because for a lot of them, you can’t really reach people who have made their minds up before you even get a chance to speak to them and latinos are notoriously stubborn even if it is to their detriment. Why do you think they’re all deliberately in the dark about Trump’s politics (I don’t mean for immigration specifically, just economic stuff). They don’t want to think for themselves, they just want to hitch themselves to a post and either passively win or have an excuse to complain

voting machines themselves are not supposed to be connected to the internet. however, starlink was used to get internet access into polling centers and elections offices to help transmit data for id checks as well as, supposedly, to speed up tabulation.
the theory that is going around is that the tabulation machines were hacked using an algorithm that dismissed a certain ratio of kamala votes. this may have happened in other races, too, but it was primarily the presidential race. the ballot data was uploaded to the tabulator but was programmed not to “read” the kamala votes, only the trump votes. this isn’t hard to do. this could possibly be why people are seeing that their ballot was never counted - because it wasn’t fully counted. now, i am not a computer expert and this is the best way i know how to explain it, but when a debunker says that voting machines are not supposed to be connected to the internet, they ARE right. however, the hack wasn’t in the voting machines themselves. it was in the tabulators that are there to collect and count vote data.

MTJ said on air that “they” had found out that Trump would have 5 million votes on Kamala and 312 electoral college votes, which is the exact number he ended up getting. Elon created the app to track the hacked numbers. All of these extremely accurate analysts who predict every election correctly predicted that Kamala would win the popular vote and the electoral college, and were suddenly wrong for the first time ever.

>>2255844Trump can lower inflation by slowing government spending and increasing energy production. Inflation is the devaluation of currency caused by too much money supply in contrast to goods available. The US government spends more than it takes in from tax revenue which means that it relies on debt to cycle more money through the system and cover it's outlays. In a system with minimal inflation, the government would spend what it receives. The other major factor is cost of fuel. The increased cost of fuel is caused by sanctioning Russia and instability in the Middle East. Fuel is required at every stage of food production from harvesting, transport to processing and transport to market which adds significantly to the final cost of food when it's available at the supermarket. Trump can solve this by making the US energy independent, he did this in his first term which was then undone by the Biden administration, and by making peace with Russia. Putin has already signaled that he's prepared to talk to Trump.
Trump's tariff policy is likely to increase prices of imported goods from China and this will cause short term inflation. As the US doesn't import a large amount of food from China, it's unlikely to increase food prices and will instead make computers, mobile phones and Shein hauls more expensive. Long term it will reduce inflation by creating jobs in the US and lowering government outlays on welfare for the unemployed and generate revenue through import tariffs.

Ukraine's loss would also be the loss of the US as the economic powerhouse and leader of the free world, as people would take a turn towards Russia and China and cause the US influence and economy to crash, and the military force of NATO would be undermined to the point Russia wouldn't be scared of using more drastic military measures i.e. nuclear missiles.

People just didn't vote in general, and I'm guessing that's caused by the apathy about not being able to make a difference. People who live in red states knew Trump was going to win anyway so they stayed home. The leftist audience voted third party and are now shocked that they threw their vote away in a situation where preserving democracy really needed them. Trump didn't win by a landslide, almost half of the voters voted for Kamala but it's just a fact that half of America
is racist, greedy and selfish. They don't want to vote for a party that promises to better society, they want to vote for the party that outright admits that they will bring fascism to the White House and remove female bodily rights. It is what it is. Trump whipped out his greasy dirty dick and half of America willingly knelt down to suck it.

maybe if the party just marketed itself better on economic and social issues like this they'd win elections? instead they tried to pander to moderates and win over traditional republicans for some reason

Trump allies, private sector quietly prepare for mass detention of immigrants
The president-elect added that there’s “nobody better at policing and controlling our Borders” and that Homan “will be in charge of all Deportation of Illegal Aliens back to their Country of Origin.”
The former acting ICE director was a contributor to Project 2025, the sweeping conservative blueprint for the next Republican president, which Trump distanced himself from during his campaign.

>One of Trump’s early re-election campaign stops was the annual meeting of the National Religious Broadcasters in Nashville on February 22, attended by leaders of the largest white evangelical communications outlets. In his rambling 75-minute speech to these Christian Right leaders, Trump spent a scant two minutes talking about abortion. He began strongly, stating, “From my first day in office, I took historic action to protect the unborn. Like nobody has ever done.” He also touted his attendance at the March pro-life rally in Washington, DC. But then he hailed his achievement of sending “this issue” (he notably did not utter the word “abortion” in the speech) back to the states since “everybody agrees that's where it should be”—a position that is a clear abandonment of a nationwide ban on abortion. While there was no applause for that line, the crowd remained with him.
>The beating heart of the speech was the projection of a white Christian nationalist vision. Trump told the enthusiastic crowd—many of whom sported red hats emblazoned with the words “Make America Pray Again”—that he knew they were “under siege.” He declared that one of his first acts of his second term would be to set up a task force to root out “anti-Christian bias” and pledged to protect “pro-God context and content.” He received spontaneous applause for vows to promote school vouchers for private Christian schools and seal the United States’ southern border against “an illegal alien invasion by the world's most sadistic criminals and savage gangs.”
>Notably, his promises to the evangelical broadcasters extended beyond the realm of policy: “If I get in, you’re going to be using that power at a level that you’ve never used before.” He continued: “I really believe it’s the biggest thing missing from this country, the biggest thing missing. We have to bring back our religion. We have to bring back Christianity in this country.”
>Trump’s deployment of the term “our religion”—one he regularly rolls out when addressing predominantly white evangelical audiences—is transparently an affirmation of an America of, by, and for white conservative Christians. This worldview, most frequently referred to as white Christian nationalism today, is an old one, predating the founding of our nation. It flows directly from the 500-year-old Christian Doctrine of Discovery—the idea that America was designated by God to be a promised land for European Christians—which justified the settler colonial project and lies at the ancient headwaters of our nation’s history.
>A 2024 study conducted by PRRI, where I serve as president and founder, explored just how strongly white Christian nationalism is connected to Trump’s contemporary allure. Building on research by political scientists Paul Djupe, Phil Gorski, Sam Perry, and Andrew Whitehead, PRRI developed five distinct agree/disagree questions to measure support for Christian nationalism:
>God has called Christians to exercise dominion over all areas of American society. The US government should declare America a Christian nation.
Being Christian is an important part of being truly American.
If the US moves away from our Christian foundations, we will not have a country anymore.
US laws should be based on Christian values.

>>2256274>>2256279NTA but you're right. Men will be degens even if Republicans ban porn, if I recall correct there are studies that Christians and conservatives in red states visit porn sites the most. It'll just be privately distributed and it won't make misogyny go away, porn is banned in China too and there's still underground snuff/CP distribution there.
>However, I do think that there should be tougher restrictions on porn access for minors, at least. The ease of access is a major issue and giving moidlets a head start on being sex pests by age 10.I think porn sites need to verify by ID instead of having a box to check that you're 18+. COCSA rates have rised in the last decade due to early porn exposure, this is a huge problem. But the industry cashes in on having consumers who started young, so who knows. Right wingers will ban abortion but not do anything about this, how typical.

>>2256114Agreed. You know illegal immigration is out of control in our country when they’re making tiktoks of a hole in the border that you can crawl through. Last year a 60 Minutes special found that Chinese people were among the highest numbers of illegal immigrants. Also been running into a lot of Russians who just got here lately and it’s kinda weirding me out with the Republicans’ current shady relationship with Putin. Given how far away Russia and China are, our country’s border must really be a joke so much that they must have really thought getting in here was a guarantee compared to other countries if they were willing to migrate to the other hemisphere as opposed to Europe or something.
If Trump was an even somewhat competent president we would gotten the wall and better border patrol from his first term. Funny how Trumpies just forget that was his main promise of his first campaign that of course never came to fruition kek.

the horseshoe theory really is real. on one side we see a moid putting down the 4b movement and making fun of women shaving their heads in protest of the right wing's party misogyny. on the other half, we have a pickme chastising women for even thinking about going on the 4b movement because it might hurt the ones who are totally more oppressed than women are, aka the trannies. they both don't want women to choose themselves and prioritize our safety above the feelings of males. they both want us to reconsider. they both represent the far right and the far left wings, but despite claiming that they are so different from each other, they still believe that women deserve nothing.

Any movement that focuses on the well being of women is never allowed to thrive without scutiny or ridicule, especially from the inside, because there is no "good woman." No woman can ever be good enough, thus nothing women believe in can ever be good enough. Even a perfect movement with perfect ideals, perfect proponents, perfect demonstrations, would never be good enough.

decades ago. The longer you wait the more painful it is to go back because we have to rebuild our manufacturing base from scratch and that could take a decade+.
