Dream thread to discuss
>have you ever had a dream come true or predict the future?
>what do different dreams mean?
>ask for advice from other anons over what ones dream could mean
>just dream discussion in general

No. 231819

Also, I forgot to add but didn't want to make an entire thread for one question so I thought other anons can discuss this on the thread as a whole

Basically last night, I had a dream that a friend who lives a few hours from me was kidnapped and then just recently there was an amber alert of a man who is armed and stuff around her area, I just messaged her and told her to stay safe and everything but I am a bit worried for her because of the dream

also this may be irrelevant but me and a close friend both dreamt of the same celebrity at the same time a few nights ago, dunno if it could mean anything but it's interesting

I don't think dreams mean anything really, but I'm always fond of the dreams where I get to hang out with my best friend who is currently several states away.

I have lots of future predicting dreams, but they're never anything very useful. Just a quick scene that feels very realistic with no context, and then later, sometimes months later, the scene happens and I'm like 'oh yeah I knew this was going to happen'.

I have so many sex dreams it's ridiculous…
They're very sensuals they always involve my very close male friends too. Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night so horny that I have to finish myself off, I only need to touch myself a little bit to have an amazing orgasm. It fuck with my brain a little, I'll think about that when I'm with them it's distracting and embarrassing and sometimes I make me want want to initiate sex just to recreate the situations I dreamt about.

When I have sex dreams I am always afraid that I'll moan IRL too lmao I am usually quite noisy when having actual sex if I don't concentrate really hard. And even so… or if I don't bite into something, idk

Anyway, ma sex dreams are almost always pretteh good. Miss having them more often, though.

>have you ever had a dream come true or predict the future?
Oh yeah. Usually I'm shown future places I'll visit even though I think it's never possible. Kind of irritates me because I'll just forget my dream and when it happens I get that deja vu so now I keep a dream diary (I started it this year)
My mother has had the same happen to her (I think it was passed down to me from her)
Best story was that she had a dream one of her pets will die while she was away and it did and died in the same exact way she saw it in her dream.

Anyways, anyone else believe when they see a passed loved one in their dream, it's their way of visiting? Because that's what I've been told which is a nice thought since I get those dreams from people I dearly miss.

The most vivid future dream was when I was about 7 or 8 I dreamt about being in high school and it was so specific that when I was a freshman and got to class it kind of freaked me out because I knew exactly what was going to happen and what people were going to talk about/who I was going to talk to.

Wow this sounds really interesting anon! Please share if you think of more.

As for me I get these dreams pretty frequently. I know it must be some sort of "anxiety" sign but w/e. Basically my teeth will be super loose, especially a specific one and throughout the dream I am so scared it'll fall off it literally makes my dream give off bad vibes and it feels so weird that I'm always reassured my teeth are nice and sturdy irl. The second anxiety thing is every so often I'll be face with a stair case or some sort of level/floor that I just can't seem to get to? As if there's some weird architecture or the gap is too big for me to get to it and again it makes me feel odd.

Something slightly less boring is that everytime I had a guy suddenly give me more attention I dream of them, and half the time it'll be sensual (but no sex) so I get this really weird feeling.

Last but not least bc I feel this post is boring but if I ever lucid dream I usually just have sex with someone or realize I'm lucid dreaming while being sexual. Kind of weird TBH as I'd rather explore my mind and see something cool then have a wet dream

It starts in a dark mansion and there's a set of long circular stairs, at the end of the stairs there's a room that I don't dare to go into because I can sense there's something awful in it, the sinister feeling seems to be in the air in all of the dreams even before I get to the stairs.

I go through periods where I have a bunch of really surreal and probably symbolic dreams, and then periods where I have a few fairly realistic dreams. A lot of times stuff in the realistic dreams end up coming true. It's usually not too important and never useful, but also nothing I could really predict. I'm a pretty skeptical person so I wonder if I'm just having so many dreams that some have to come true, but since its just the ones that I already remembered I don't really know how to explain it. Maybe my subconscious is just really good at picking up patterns, but it doesn't seem like that could be the case for most of this stuff.

I'm glad that this thread exists. I feel like I can't tell anyone my dreams because they were so weird. All of my dreams are surreal and weird. At least all of the ones I remember. Here are some highlights:

>I was lost in a forest filled with deadly spiders. Got eaten by snake and ended up in an some mad scientist's lab. There are severed head everywhere

>I stabbed my mother to death after she hit my grandmother. (Cryed for several days after.)

>Had by brains sucked out by some blob alien thing

>Got mauled by a pack of dogs (I got attacked by a dog when I was 12.)

>Got crushed to death by a pack of buffaloes which turned about to be a dream within a dream and I woke up in my grandmother's house

>When to a basketball game at my middle school and thought I saw pic related

>I was a Nazi. I don't watch WWI documentaries nor visit any sites related to WWII or Nazi Germany, so I have no idea how that happened.

>I was an 8 year old girl swinging on a swing

>There were 3 guys with AK-47's coming to kill me and my family (I was living near my middle school at this time and it was a bad neighborhood.)

>I brought my grandfather back to life and he snapped his neck and died. His head was misshapened and it scared me. (2 days ago)

>I was riding a bike in a forest and somehow ended up in a suburban neighborhood

>Climbed up a building that looked like a head and Princess Bubblegum dressed as Mario was at the top.

>Made a bird house and my brother shat in it (Recent)

>Was a white male 37 year old schizo in a mental home recovering from meth addiction (recent)

>Was at home listening to the radio and I had to go to the bathroom (happened about 2 weeks ago. Ended up having to go to the bathroom for real.)

>VOCALOID(Look it up if you don't know what it is) characters were celebrating the birthday of one of them (I forgot which one I think it was either Miku, Gakupo, Gumi or the Kagamine Twins) and a truck crashed through the window and blew up, killing them all. (there was several years ago. I'm not a big VOCALOID fan anymore, but I occasionally listen to the older songs, especially the Evilious Chronicles series, it's my favorite.)

I have no idea what these dreams are supposed to mean. They happen randomly, but they are starting to get worse in my opinion. I also had a few sex dreams, but most of them were dreams of me watching porn.

Dreams have become mostly an 'ugh' experience for me in the last few years. I was plauged with hyper-detailed, long, involved dreams that honestly made me exert a lot of mental energy as if i was actually awake. I would wake up from a night of sleep feeling mentally tired and done.

I tried once typing out a dream journal but it took too long. A couple times I tried recording me dictating them but they'd end up being 30+ minutes long and it soon became not worth the time.

They aren't even helpful or self-reflective. I can't see the point of many of them. Too many of my dead mom coming back to life and freaking me out. A few too many delving into my graphic visual fears. Plenty are just mundane but bizzare bullshit I could do without.

Now they're my telltale sign of me forgetting to take my anti-anxiety meds.

>be dream me
>somehow forced to marry my uncle
>feel worried and perplexed
>think about how I'm going to divorce this heaux as soon as I can
>retire to one of the rooms in his house
>he follows me in there and forces himself on me as I fall asleep
>wake up in dream with a sore vag
>depressed as hell that I just lost my virginity to my rapey unclehusband
>walk out to meet my mom and cousin mingling with each other in our living room(?)
>have the feeling that they don't know about what happened
>wonder how I'm going to explain everything to them
I'm wondering if this is symbolic for something, it was a lot more cohesive and less surreal than my usual dreams. I know I sure as hell don't want to fuck my uncle.

No, I've never gotten any serious creep vibes from him, there's just the usual vaguely misogynistic quirks that normie men tend to have that made me raise an eyebrow a few times. I remember when he found the nudes that my underage cousin was sending to boys her age, he had the bright idea to handle that situation by calling her a whore in lieu of explaining the possible consequences to her. My family and I had to have a chat with her. Sigh.
Aside from that, he comes across as a well-adjusted person.
I was more thinking that the dream was an allegory for some situation going on in my life and my subconscious just threw him in there for whatever reason, but if there's anything really off about him like that idk it yet.

> The headache feels like my skull is crushed
>Feeling too real, probably actually happened in my body while sleeping
>I finally wake up and I was sleeping from that side and I still feel a pressure.

I once had a dream about a woman with brown hair who was very beautiful and in that dream, she was my mother. I remember I was running away from a bad guy who was chasing me and once I made it onto my property at home, the woman came out of nowhere in a lace nightgown with a shotgun and said to the man, "Get the fuck away from my daughter." and he started to back off. This sounds dumb but I really felt such a connection to her in that dream and I often think about the universe and other realities because my mom in real life was always verbally and emotionally abusive to me and I don't have a connection to her at all. I remember crying a few times when the dream was recent and I was thinking about the woman with brown hair. My mom irl is also one of those dumbasses who gave 16 thousand dollars to a conman she knew for only 2 months just because he had sex with her and is now struggling even worse even though we were already poor. I know she's my mom in this life but I like to think that my real mother is out there in a different reality.

Anyone else have dreams similar to this before?

the last time i remember having an actual, wake-up-terrified nightmare was when I was in high school. I "woke up" laying upright in bed, with everything in my room looking true to life, except my bedroom door which was wide open even though I always sleep with my door closed. Then a man walked through the open door into my room holding a sword, stood over my bed, smiled down at me, and stabbed me once with it. Then I woke up for real and everything looked EXACTLY the same as it did in the dream, including my door being open, and for like fifteen seconds I stared at the door in genuine fear for my life.

But as the dreams and thoughts of women have not stopped I am questioning if I am gay

idk why but I noticed people tend to have mother or wife dreams about women with short brown hair, including myself

in my dreams, although I had them when I was very little, it wasn't anything out the ordinary but I came home and walked to my room and saw a woman who I felt was my mother in my living room sewing, I've had the same woman occur though my dreams before but it's usually just normal stuff like cooking and reading and whatnot, she's pregnant in some dreams to, she looks nothing like my real mother either which is why it's weird
she was cute, pale, petite, short wavy brown hair and brown eyes, a bit of a baby face, nice figure, that's all I can remember, don't remember if I ever heard her voice though but I've heard stories of dreams from friends and they seem describe one woman in a similar way, short wavy brown hair, brown eyes, petite, pale, baby face

Bringing back this thread to vent about my dreams ugh
If I ever do anything repetitive, like a thought or an action for a decent sum of my day… it’s all I think about at night and have a restless sleep dreaming of that action/thought over and over.
For example today it is video games, I had a day off and played overwatch all day and now it’s all I see when I close my eyes….
Starting a new job it will be the prices of things, or in school it was new vocabulary when learning a new language…. it’s enough to drive me insane and has been happening more and more lately.
Any tips on how to completely inwind at the end of a night and to get my mind on another track so I can sleep?

Older women oftentimes have short hair, since long hair is difficult to maintain with age and takes time to care for. With age hair becomes more brittle and a short haircut is often more flattering for an older face.

And brown hair is the most common colour, isn't it? Looking at all the elder women I know, an overwhelming majority has shorter, dark hair. On the streets it's common too to see older women with shorter, brownish hair.

It's not some dream conspiracy, it's just that the haircut/style is common in that age class. That's why you associated it with older women/mothers.

Does anyone ever have really intense dreams about abuse? Past, present, or future?

When I was a teen I made the mistake of 'dating' this felon with a micropenis. Because of his inadequacies, he enjoyed emotionally manipulating and abusing me. When I broke up with him, it was because I took a nap and missed his phone call. So he called my parents and told us he'd kill us all with a chainsaw and hang us in the trees.
Sometimes when I have dreams about killers and abusive situations, he's the antagonist in them.

The other night I dreamt I was with a bunch of other women and we were trapped inside this elaborate house maze where he lived. We were trying to hide from him but also figure a way out.
As we navigated, I came across a manila envelope among his stuff.
For some reason I knew instinctively inside there was evidence of his abuse. I remember wanting to open it, but before I could he found us, and began chasing us.
We found a way out. I ran outside with the other women, envelope in hand. We found our getaway car but it wouldn't start and the windows were rolled down. I remember wanting to rip open the envelope but I thought at any minute the car would start and we'd be out of there safely.
The man followed us out.
He walked closer, and closer to us until he reached inside the car and snatched the envelope of evidence from my hands. He walked back into the house maze with the envelope in his possession. Presumably to hide it again. He didn't come back for us.

Afterwards, the car started and we drove away. But I remember feeling great regret for not opening the envelope, like I had let everyone down. Then I woke up.

>tfw have never had a future dream
>never had a sex dream (sometimes there's sexual stuff in my dreams but it's always glossed over, like I just know sex happened but didn't vividly experience anything)
I feel left out

I used to have dreams like this all the time. The only thing that works for me is smoking weed before bed.

Same, I've had weird dream patterns (ie for a few months ill go through nothing but nightmares every night which left me with insomnia because i was too scared to sleep from how exhausting these dreams were, next stage would be a normal dream cycle, about 90% good or normal weird dreams but still get an occasional nightmare)

It sucks because I haven't been through my nightmare period since high school and I feel like its coming back especially since I just woke up from a nightmare

Just missed my alarm because I had a dream where Aziz Ansari was banned from Hollywood except for one role where he had to play Whoopi Goldberg's love interest and talk about how she was the most beautiful woman he'd ever seen
