nonnie! i began my veganism journey in 2022 with a lot of ups and downs. a couple of months ago i started incorporating eggs again because it feels the most ethical and i was having health problems (so no longer “vegan now) but i wont ever consume dairy or meat again. it took me a good year to learn about things made with animal products too, such as silk pillowcases! but i have kept the ones i own, so long as i do not buy more stuff of that nature. i also have really bad iron issues that landed me in the hospital since i dont absorb non heme iron as well. on the other hand, one of my medications that keeps me alive has lactose!
my point here is — do what is best for you and the animals. keep a balance. dont kill yourself over this lifestyle choice, because you cant help the animals if you do! i find some vegan circles can be really unwavering and cruel which just isnt fair. any step you make is huge.
research a lot. you should do more cooking and be very adamant about supplementing/tracking what you eat. its a lot at first, so give yourself time and ease into it. eventually, it will become a habit.
the best part (aside from feeling better [sans the iron issue — always had iron issues, and i have a small appetite hence the egg thing needed more protein for less etc.]) is all of the fun cooking you get to do!! craving a red velvet cake or rueben? now you get to have fun and make it yourself! also veganism can be very cheap, lentil stews and such.

I hate it when I'm watching cute animal videos and see an AI pic of an animal, I can't stand those AI animal stories that sometimes get posted on the youtube and tiktok hate threads, like who in their right mind would make something like that? Deepfakes and AI generated pics of people disgust me too. They're just so wrong, they move so unnaturally. I never got the feeling of the uncanny valley until now. I swear they have the same mental effect on me as watching other types of shock content, which is weird because for a time I didn't mind them. To me it feels like the ultimate insult towards someone/something to make an AI generated pic of them, even if it's someone I genuinely despise.
