there's plenty wholesome about them. they have evolved to eat toxic toads, frogs, and snakes, saving you and your pets from them. you should be thanking them for eating the bufo toads that your stupid dog would probably eat and die from almost immediately.
their body temperature is too low to carry most viruses or most diseases, unlike raccoons. they have no real defense mechanism besides passing out and involuntarily evacuating their bowels, so they're very vulnerable babies. they've been around and mostly unchanged for like, 70 million years.
they're amazing and very sweet.they're the only marsupials in north america, and don't deserve to demonized like rats, especially since they benefit humans, and our pets, like, a lot.
