What would you suggest to do when your little cousin is falling into a fandom?

Said relative is drifting into following certain fandoms which were obviosly made to spend money on trendy merchandise and she defends it to the death. She is locking herself in her room and doesn't participate in online classes anymore. We fear for her grades. Asking for a friend obviously. She was so dreamy before…(integrate)

Her parents need to take the lock off her room/take her key. There's no reason for a teen to have a lock on her room as long as her door can stay closed when she needs privacy and her parents/siblings knock on the door instead of randomly barging in. That was she can't abuse her room by locking herself in and not attending online classes but she still has privacy when she needs it. Her parents need to make sure she attends online classes, this probably can be done with online monitoring software and lock her access to the internet and social media as punishment if she doesn't attend classes. Maybe even have her follow her online classes at the kitchen table, if there's a stay at home parents to keep an eye on her. Also lock her access to social media during school hours and probably limit her access to the internet and social media in general, again can be done through monitoring apps and software.

>nice double dubs
Thanks for the response, I'll try to convince them. Both parents are working so she's used to do things her way.

"She was so dreamy beforeā€¦"
Wtf does this mean, are you her groomer cousin?

her parents should restrict internet access and force her into real world hobbies before genderspecials get to her. And you should stay the fuck away from her too weirdo

She's pretty based. Why should she care about those stupid online classes spoken by a bunch of idiots who don't know shit? You don't need any of that to be successful in life. Grades are bullshit and only retards care about that stuff. How about your stupid family gets her into making her own products, starting her own business that actually makes money rather than wasting time on some shit "education."

Ah yes such cool ideas in the thread, let's forbid a teenager from engaging in fandoms and deprive her of privacy and internet access, this is gonna work out great.
Also OP sounds like incestuous pedo.

Sure thing, everything else is written correctly but suddenly you don't know what basic word like dreamy means, selective ESL

Like a dream, doesn't it? What's a dream but endless bliss? A condition without flaws, which she had.

>deprive her of privacy
No one said to deprive her of her privacy. Taking a lock of a teen's room =/= depriving her of her privacy. She can still have her door closed and have her privacy. But the lock or the key needs to go so it can't be abused to avoid education. Her parents need to have access to her room to intervene when neccersary. But only when neccersary, again privacy invasion isn't the intention here.
>deprive her of her internet access
Only as a consequence of not following her online classes. This is completely up to her, she can have her internet access when she follows her online classes as she should. If she gets her internet access taken because she refused to follow her online classes that's her fault and something she could've prevented herself.
>forbid a teenager from engaging in fandoms
The other way around actually. If her internet access is taken because she didn't attend online class and as a result she can't engage with her fandom, then it works the other way around too: If she attends her classes she gets rewarded with internet access and therefore the opportunity to engage with her fandom. So the fandom can be used as a motivator to get her to follow her education.

But those are my two cents, do with it whatever you want OP.

Install gentoo on her computer and tell her that she can go back to doing whatever she was doing. She will either learn how to use GNU+Linux, the CLI and bash scripting or she will give up.
