I'm actually kinda sad about it slowly dying, I've been in the LJ snark communities since the lolscenequeens/getoffmyspace days and beyond. Plus all the rating communities and their subsequent drama. Does anyone still remember fuckballs and radio_therapy? Or am I showing my age here?

It's probably time for it go though, tbh. I've sometimes thought about making a post but I really can't be bothered, it's far easier just to post something here then to spend ages formatting and writing a livejournal post and then waiting for it to be approved. It generally isn't as bad as other places for SJW stuff, there are a good amount of members who aren't into it, but I do find myself thinking twice before saying something in case I get someone bitching me out for "body shaming" or whatever.

The posts there do still get a decent amount of comments though. I kind of think we should post a link here in the next macro monday to poach some more members, we can chase off any SJW's if necessary. I just think there are a lot of people there who are equally sick of the lack of content + SJW stuff but don't know about lolcow. I'd do it myself but I am a huge pussy and scared of starting ~drama.

I used to be a member of a really prominent ED community which isn't really the same but the community was a great place to hang out, chat to people experiencing similar issues and have a few laughs.
The one night the old mod left and was replaced by this cunt who brought in a squad of SJW's and all of a sudden the community became hyper policed like you couldn't post any thinspo any more, all images had to go behind a cut, certain words were banned from being used fullstop had to white out text that included weights, names of foods and you were banned straight off the bad for referencing to ED's as anything less than horrible negative (like you would get new people coming in asking for advice and before we even had a chance to properly advise them, they would be banned), which got a shit load of members banned including myself because we used to take the piss out of the condition consistently.

I honestly stopped checking ediotz when I found lolcow because info got there sooo slow. I also really miss the days of everyone just tearing into each other and doing member outings. The best thing thats happened there in the last few years was the Kyatto outing.

Felice Fawn was a huge source of content for ediotz and I think when she disappeared fewer people checked/ posted there because all the other people posted were being pretty boring.

I think the fact most of the members are grown adults with kids/ husbands now says a lot about their attitudes now.

I'm a member of the FB group too, and thats always stayed very active.
