So Ravelry, a knitting/crochet fiber arts hosting site for patterns and project by designers, have put a ban to all pro-trump related posst, projects, patterns, etc. You can read more about it here

And the greatest irony in all of this is these amazing tradthots tweets. I've made a point in a previous thread about how I find it interesting that knitting/crocheting is seen as a very "trad" yet, almost all modern fiber artist and designers are very liberal. If you were to ask a tradthot attention whore what
(1 sc, 1 dec) x 12 (24) means, they'd have absolutely know idea.
So, the fact that they (and honestly anyone else who doesn't knit/crochet or actively use the site) are complaining about something they don't even participate in makes me laugh. A big percentage of those who use Ravelry aren't even American, the site makes almost nothing off of designers who use it to put their paid patterns up to sell, and literally all the interaction on there is(and should be) related to crochet/knitting. Literally the only people who care are the very very minority of designers who make Trump related stuff, which as someone who uses the site often, I've never ran into any of those patterns naturally.
If I was in the shoes of a pro-trump designer(lol), I would try to profit off of the fact that Ravelry banned my designs by making separate site. Those who claim to care so much should put money in the pockets of these designers but, it seems all they care about doing is complaining and making it a bigger deal than it actually is.
