Ulzzang (pronounced uhl-jang) translates to "best face" or "good looking" in Korean. This slang is often used by netizens in contests including girls competing for the title of "ulzzang". However, Ulzzang has developed into a subculture/style rather than a competition/contest event.

Ulzzang beauty standards are strict on a couple key features, including the V-shaped jawline, milky white skin, super slim bodies, and straight eyebrows. Ulzzangs, especially those who have botched themselves to meet this standard through intense whitewashing, jawline surgeries, and other cosmetic procedures are derogatorily labeled "Gangnam Unnies." This stemmed from the perspective of walking down the streets of Gangnam in Korea and passing by dozens of women with this exact face.

Famous ulzzangs include but are not limited to Goo hye sun, Nam Sang-mi, Park Han-byul, Kang Eun-bi and Kim Hye Sung.
