At school he had been told that he was ugly so he had this strange complex where he just needed to be loved and told that he was beautiful."

Nonas, I have read Noel's book Tales from the Middle of Nowhere and have returned to report to you. It's a collection of short travelogs following their last tour, 2008-2009 - Noel explicitly refuses to use the "B-word", as the entries are apparently being sent by text to someone, who then put them online. It ends abruptly with Noel announcing his departure from the band.
It's short and sweet and not very interesting, so no need to go out of your way to read it. Noel is pretty funny when he writes, even if most of the entries are only about travel, food, football and gigs (and far too many mentions of Russell Brand), with little detail. He mentions Liam occasionally, but only in passing (he alsos uses nicknames for lots of people, which makes it a bit more difficult), although he does call him "the greatest rock'n'roll singer of his generation early on.
