I think there's gonna be a mass shooting at an american political building, like the Capitol Building or something like that. The shooter will be one of the politician's edgy kids. He'll kill other politicians and maybe even one of their family members unfortunately, and that will be the first time that gun control will be actually taken seriously in the US.
I think this will happen probably in the next 3 to 5 years.

See graph, we're currently living in the "overshoot" situation, very near or at the very top before rapid collapse. That will happen within our natural lifetimes (for those of us who're 20s or so). It's happened more than once in history and us humans don't learn. Ecosystems world-wide are on brink of collapsing at the hand of human abuse and overpopulation. We have over twice as many humans on earth as earth can sustainably carry at it's very max, and we'll go to three times as many this century if things continue this way. Unless we see downright miracle technological breakthroughs very, very soon. But once the ecosystems collapse, humans will go with it, because we're at the mercy of healthy funcioning ecosystems for our food, water and oxygen. I think only a small percentage will survice and re-build over centuries to come.
I swear I'm not a doomer boomer but the ecosystems are very objectively at the brink of collapse. It's already scientifically predicted to happen in less than 50 years.
