I've listened to the Fifth Column podcast about the Armie Hammer case. They had some interesting info that made me more skeptical about this case.

NOPE. everyone already knew what brain dead was before then, there was just no way to take organs. once it became possible to keep a dead body running long enough to have usable organs, there was a huge conference where an extremely strict definition of brain dead was settled on, including the need for multiple physicians to sign off, not bc brain death was being "invented" to steal organs but for the opposite reason, so that it was absolutely impossible for anyone who was not truly dead to ever mistakenly have organs taken. organs cannot be taken from someone in a coma. organs cannot be taken from someone in a vegetative state or a minimally conscious state. doctors do not decide to take living people off of life support to steal their organs, there would be absolutely no benefit for them doing that whatsoever (they dont get paid more for more organs harvested nor do they get to pick where harvested organs go), brain dead people are completely dead in the same way as any other corpse and no one has ever come back from brain death, the risk of being declared brain dead while alive is the same as your risk of being buried alive in general, i.e., it almost never fucking happens. sorry if i sound heated but
