I would think you'd want it around for when you are old, we've already been paying into it our whole lives. It's not saved for us, if it's taken away the next group won't be there to pay for ours. Also why should boomers have theirs taken away when they paid into the system their whole lives? The money they paid was spent. Stopping it screws the generations who already contributed. I'm also not excited about the idea of having to move my parents in because the government decided to stop social security during my lifetime. As far as the government taking it away, I believe that people will freak out if it's just ripped away. People protest and riot for less. A lot of people depend on that money to live and it's not realistic to cut off resources for that many people in a quick amount of time. This is all just my opinion.

I prefer the aesthetic of G1 but I like the personalities of the G4 ponies. Also, Rainbow Dash was originally meant to be Fire Fly from G1, and all of the other Mane Six were based off of G1 ponies as well. All but Applejack had to be changed because Hasbro had somehow lost the rights to the old characters. Surprise became Pinkie Pie, Sparkler became Rarity, Posie became Fluttershy, and Twilight became Twilight Sparkle.
