Obviously a lot of them go overboard like Margo and Mama Kannibal and (allegedly) these twins' parents, but I can honestly say 100% that if my kid showed interest in even the weebiest Japanese shit and wanted to learn Japanese to become an idol, I would enroll them in language school and whatever else to help them achieve that dream. The advantage of speaking multiple languages and the extracurricular activity outweighs any weeb embarrassment to me.
