Inspired by something I saw on a diff thread. Cow is an insult where I am. Interchangeable with the word bitch. What a selfish cow! etc. People who've never heard of a lolcow use it.

Are non-lolcow cows a thing where you are?

No. 2566928

Yes though if I'm calling someone a cow/bull is still an insult by itself, often associated with stupidity (cow and especially bull) or corpulence (cow).

Animal epithet have been used for a very long time and seems to be pretty univerals across all cultures.

Bad example of a househusband. He should be on his knees bowing upon her entrance to the home before obsequiously deigning to speak before spoken to inquire on the status of her day.

But Shinji is a faggot. He doesn't actually love Asuka, he just uses her as cover. He uses her as a means to an end, and that's dehumanizing. Those kids both know that daddy is a flaming homosexual and that he hates mummy, and they're gonna be unpacking all of that in psychotherapy for years and years in their adulthood, especially after Shinji ropes after Asuka catches him on Grindr for the 5th time.

why is it so uncommon for america to push regular black female artists that aren’t sexualised? don’t get me wrong all races of women are heavily sexualised in the music industry especially today but you can still see that most white and asian artists have an image beyond that, and it’s not like the basis of their entire persona + there are plenty of popular ones who don’t have a sexualised image at all. pinkpantheress made me wonder, were she american would she have ever been pushed, would they have wanted her to change her image? would they believe there to be no market for that kind of artist if not white? growing up even as a black person in britain i genuinely believed that black americans were just like that and it was cultural that everything was sexualised. actually that’s got me thinking because even nicki minaj was allegedly very different before debuting, quiet and softspoken, obviously it’s normal to have a stage image but it makes me wonder if she were white they would have given her a different one closer to her actual personality at the time. they just didn’t believe that it would be worth doing if she weren’t white

it’s strange to me that america seems more racist despite white americans being no more native to the country than black americans. the racism here is mostly classist and nationalistic but with americans it really feels skin deep, even when you’ve grown up in the exact same environment with just as many generations here as each other

1. In America, black isn't just a race. It's been made into something like a class, and media figures are pushed to show solidarity by pretending to be more low-class (eg in leagues with hip hop) than they actually are. This is also why women like Ayo Edebiri sometimes get harassed for not "acting black enough". Also, America is currently run by racist porn producers and consumers.
2. Hip-hop is "the" black music genre now, rather than music like jazz, RnB, rock, etc, and those were all much less sexualized. It wasn't like this before, look at Whitney Houston and Donna Summer. Hip-hop, due to ghetto male and "other" influence, is typically very aggressive and sexual. It got to a fever pitch in the 90s, and only became worse. It panders to the lowest common denominator. One black woman (C. Delores Tucker) tried to speak against it, but was shut down and faced a lot of misogynistic abuse. Men involved with hip-hop want women to be whores, and those who don't acquiesce simply won't be pushed in the industry. When black musucians only have one popular genre they're allowed to become famous in, this is what you get. Pinkpantheress would NEVER have been allowed to make it in the US with the current zeitgeist. What they want is Ice Spice. In the first place, I'm convinced Pinkpantheress was only allowed to be as she is and get popular because she's biracial, because the same disorder is catching up to the UK slowly (I remember that "put that shrimp back in your pants" song/video). Even the Black American women who still sing RnB are pressured to fit what hip hop scrotes like (SZA, Summer Walker, etc).
3. All these problems have been made "woke", so you're barely allowed to contest them. There's an entire subsection of Black American men who believe that not fitting into the hip-hop sanctioned aesthetic and way of behavior means you are a "race traitor" who "dates white men", and Black American women who have internalized all kinds of degeneracy as their identity. These people only think of white people, their existence in relation to white people, and live to be the opposite of anything currently classed as "white", good or bad. This means that if white women are expected to be chaste, black women need to be sluts. If white women are expected to be pretty, black women need to be ugly. If white women are expected to be thin, black women need to be fat. If white women are expected to be quiet, black women need to be loud. Anything else is betrayal. This is how they've made sense of the world, and their idea of a "quiet protest" against an unjust/racist society, even if it affirms all the problems and means teen pregnancies, increased rates of heart disease (and poor health in general), encouraging domestic violence and turning a blind eye to femicide. They affirm their blackness through inferiority and rot. Whenever any black woman within the community wants or seems to embody something else, they start screaming "Well, white people will call you a nigger anyway, they lynched your ancestors when they were acting and looking all proper and the women were skinny! You are being Eurocentric, this is respectability politics!". The idea of wanting better for one's own community has become alien, because their idea of racial self-esteem has been made into…this. The proliferation of libfem politics coupled with the struggles of the lower class (which were exacerbated by the Reagan's crack epidemic) and the boogeyman of respectability politics created this mess, really.
4. Racist people like (even love) this set-up because it affirms the idea of white superiority, and necessarily erases black people who don't fit into negative, dehumanizing stereotypes. It also ensures easy sexual access when a demographic of women decides that promiscuity and nihilism are political praxis. All of this is just extremely convenient for racists, but you're supposed to pretend you don't see it. America is just kind of an extreme and insane country when it comes to race. Other countries have their own issues with, but America's got the world stage and this is what everyone is influenced by.

Samefag:
tl;dr: It would go against the current narrative and piss off trashy people, people who've gone so woke they've fallen into horseshoe theory and racists, all of which have been allowed to dictate "black" media is in the US for a while now. Momo Boyd is another example of a Black American singer who doesn't hypersexualize herself and debuted with a song about love (rather than fucking). She faced extreme backlash and accusations of being far right, being an African immigrant because her behavior/aesthetic is considered too different, etc.
Vid related, two Black American public figures (Lil Yachty and Quenlin Blackwell) arguing over who is "white black" ("white-washed"), and the latter's benchmark for "blackness" ends up being who's been in more physical altercations. Humor or not, this is the current accepted conception of being black and any "authentic" culture that has to do with it. Ultimately, Black American people in the comment section accused them both of being "white black" and shamed them for supposedly being raised in suburban towns. All of this shit is what happens when a race is made near-synonymous with a class, and diverse cultures within that race aren't given due recognition.

Ntayrt but this reminded me of when I was a kid, I was harassed a couple of times over the fact I didn't speak in ebonics. I'm not even black, I guess the other kids thought it meant I thought myself "better" than them or something. How, I don't know, I had terrible grades and was of lower class than most anybody else.
I never did it since it felt pretty cringey to force myself to speak in a way I wasn't naturally accustomed to and I was a loser anyway, looking back it was all pretty ridiculous.

I come from a family that was called racist for a while and its becasue they live in a neighborhood that had more low class poor black families move in and called the cops on children throwing rocks at their (enclosed in a fence) dogs and i know people who don't actually live in mixed race communities are more likely to be racist for no real reason but white people who live in those communities are called racist because when a home intruder destroyed their lives or some children stole a car and smeared a granny's face on the pavement the loudest voices in black communities moved to try and protect them instead of preventing that behavior and its because of that very real psyop your talking about.
So when people try to blanket statement about racist white people i always think are they really racist or are they reacting to the real shitheads around them? I'm sure they know its

Why are there people who gas themselves up all the time to others and exaggerate things to make themselves look better? What do they get out of it? Don’t they feel sad knowing deep down that it’s not true?

I’m talking about things like
>Telling someone that a bunch of people said they were the prettiest girl they’ve ever seen
>Going “oh my god he was totally hitting on me” whenever a guy asks a question, looks at her or is just being nice
>Telling stories where they always end up being the hero and then everyone claps, everyone comes to tell them how smart and pretty they are, etc
>Talking about events like they’re the main character of the world and everyone admires them and wants to fuck them
>Bragging about everything they ever did, how many awards they got, their grades, etc

I’m just confused, do people like this never sit by themselves at home and feel embarrassed that everything is an exaggeration and a performance to show others how great they are? I know several people who behave this way and don’t know what causes it

I don't think that's always the case. Sometimes wires in your brain just get crossed and you can accidentally "train" yourself to associate random things with sex, which is why most fetishes develop in childhood or during puberty. Your brain is very squishy and moldable during this time and takes in as much information as it possibly can, sometimes to its own detriment. Even if you don't consciously know what sex is, your subconscious does.

People just mistake this cautiousness for cunning when in reality, the fox is just an animal, of course it's gonna sniff around a box full of chickens when it's hungry kek. They probably became THE animal we associate with tricksters because we've lived alongside them and dealt with them eating livestock for centuries, same as wolves.

They see themselves as sex objects. They have to be the hotter sexier ones who have the "upper hand" in the relationship. They don't date attractive men their age, because it makes them insecure and like they might get cheated on. Ironic because old ugly ass men cheat all the time.

Honestly, to me Clairo’s attraction to women is subconsciously obvious to me just like how some people were so sure Jojo made sense kek (didn’t see it personally) but Clairo reminds me of the girls in high school I dated, she just seems very bi to me. There’s no reason to assume she’s only heterosexual tbh - I’d argue there’s more of a case for Billie but maybe that’s my bias speaking. Also controversial but Clairo just “looks” like she likes girls to me

So, do I have depression or something? I get random moments of being sad and I even cry heavy but it'll be over in 30 minutes of less. I have ADHD and am a recovering NEET, I work only 16 hours a week but I still only talk to my family and co-workers, and my husband. I don't really feel the desire to be social much but I do feel bad that I don't have any female friends…I feel like I probably do need those to be normal. But right now even talking to my parents or stopping by to chat with my husband's family wears me out for a day or more lol. Work days wear me out too, I feel like I always am pushing just to get through the day. So am I wrong thinking this is all ADHD related and actually chronic depression? Despite all this, I'm actually living the best moments of my life and am in a much better place, so I don't see why I would be depressed after years of finally being okay.

I don't mean to ask this to moralfag or anything by saying 'omg ur disgusting and sick if u think this is cute!!', I just think that it's such a strange detail that I would have thought most would see as gross, but most seem to actually receive it well and I'm genuinely interested in hearing what people like about it as I just find it odd.

The Japanese have autism. Similar to Germans. Both of these nations found liking in each other during WW2 based on that. Another thing they have in common, might be related to autism as well, which is an obsession about the anus/poop. That's why it's called "anal" fixation. Their societies are harsh, cold and with strict rules. Akin to toilet training in early childhood that is too harsh, which leads to obsessiveness and overt tidiness.
In the Japanese this trait shows in putting visible assholes onto simplistic and cute characters. The Germans are more pragmatic about the ordeal and equip their literal toilets with a shape that allows the turd to sit on top of the water inviting the user to inspect every bit of their doing.

I think it’s just from the poverty cycle. If you grew up in a mud house (hyperbole) you’re gonna have a hard time distinguishing luxury from gaudiness since your actual upbringing was so far outside the realm of luxury. Home printers are ultra-shit. They're always out of ink, printers are shady and made to tell you they've ran out of ink before they actually are, a lot of models don't take off-brand ink either they literally block it, you've got to make an account just to scan shit on your own fucking home printer so they can take your data and they're always broken. I don’t think there is any obligation at all to play a gifted game, even if it hurts their feelings. It’s not like you begged them to spend money on you. It was an important lesson for me to learn that getting along with someone doesn’t mean they have to be obsessed with all the same things. First ayart, I have EDS. Picrel is my hand for reference. An EDS diagnosis honestly doesn’t do much for you unless it may help with insurance claims. The treatment for someone with EDS and someone without for things like join instability is exactly the same. A true diagnosis requires you to see a geneticist which typically takes a referral and a very long wait time to actually be seen. The only reason I have a diagnosis is because I participated in a genetic study and the test was paid for me. Unless you’re also seeking something like a disability claim, I wouldn’t bother. Also avoid online EDS communities like the plague. They’re filled with munchies and bad advice. Feel free to ask me questions if you want to know more.

That bottom hand that is completely straight is the normal range of mobility. The top is hyper mobility. I also may be bad at taking photos so you’ll have to take my word for it as well

I do remember there being a random update over a year ago [not sure how this would have gotten out if it was her twin sister that info leaked or a rando from her inpatient] that she has had further parts of her legs amputated almost to the hip joint. First of all it's not "people", it's men.

And secondly with the amount of straight male transbians ending up fucking other male troons it's at least on some level possible for them to get a fetish for each other. Though it should be noted detrans people have stated messing with their hormones caused their sexuality to change so that's likely part of it then.
But I think fetishes are generally tied to your existing sexuality, so straight furries still want to fuck furries of the opposite sex. I've also seen theories that true fetishes are caused by early childhood trauma, so if someone has a piss fetish it's because they as a kid pissed themselves in public and got laughed at which made them so embarrassed their brains eventually reworked the memory into something positive instead. Not that it happens every time a kid pisses themselves, but every person with a fetish had that moment that started it all. There's also theories that low-quality men get fetishes for specific things easily (like shoes, cars, random object) as a natural selection mechanism to keep them from pursuing women, and thus not passing on their bad genes.

But it's short lived because then you'll see someone better looking than yourself and feel like crap, and you're certainly going to remember that feeling more that the tiny bit of gratitude that uglier women exist. >Why are circumcised dicks worse
The foreskin acts like a sleeve that stays in place while the penis easily slides within it, rather than scraping against the walls of your vagina, so there's way less friction with an uncircumcised dick, which makes sex with way smoother and silkier. Also, because the foreskin has thousands of nerves itself, while also protecting the head of the penis, circumcised moids are way less sensitive, so they have to be much rougher with sex in order to get any stinulation, and this jackhammering feels way worse for the woman.
>tbh ive only had sex with circumcised and I dont have much complaints

For the condition you heard about you can always talk to your general doc about it and ask where to go from there. You're not gonna get every condition that's in your family so they'll either help ease your concerns about the liklihood of that happening.. or it might be something they want marked down in your file.

Outside of the one you know about, health screening and genetic risk testing services can test for a range of things at once. It costs but it's not as expensive as you might imagine it'd be. A general doc tends to need a reason to send you for specific testing but these places do it on demand and tend to cover alot of bases.

It's weird trying to have a social gathering when you can tell nobody really wants to be there. They don't want to be anywhere where there's more than 3 or 4 people in a room. Wasn't close to them growing up. Saw them more at funerals than anything else over the years

On the other side they're loud and outgoing and all about gatherings and parties. Some of them have this weird money and class thing going on. They're not rich but they.. think they are or aspire to be and look down on people depending on what exact area your house is in. Lots of get togethers for any old reason. I used to think they were the 'normal' side of the family but they're unbearable as an adult. People living outside of their means and larping as if they're not in debt. They do everything for show. The parties are for show. The closeness is forced. There's such a fakeness to everything.

The aunts brag about my cousins non stop. It's all about achievements. Even if those achievements were bought or given to them. It's a fake ass bragging competition and I prefer the fuck out of the 'not very close bunch of tists' side of the family now. At least they're honest people.

Haruhi herself is extremely insufferable but the characters aren't allowed to criticize/stop her insufferableness or else she'll end the world. The show also goes on and on about how talented and beautiful she is and great at everything at school etc. since she's a literal reality warper. It's like one of those JerkSue fics but as an anime but since she's an intentional Mary Sue no one's allowed to complain. It's still a low amount of troons, but there definably feels like there is more of them, which is why laws based on troons and not women make no sense, since women are actually the majority at 51%. We'd be even more without femicide and moids killing women all the time.
troons seem to gather in shit hole liberal cities like Seatle, Portland and Philly.

Most anons here know that
1. It never really "works", people end up still getting jealous and trying to either strongly suppress it or look for other side pieces as an addiction to the dopamine you get from a new shiny toy (see Dana)
2. It is never anyone hot that's in a polycule. Pretty much only ugly people and degen trannies practice polyamory out of a pathetic attempt to assert their nonexistent desirability. See also – Dana.
3. Used as an excuse for men to be sluts and not deal with the social consequences.
Pretty much if you account for the above reasons then there's no other real reason that you would join a polycule. Humans naturally are romantically bonded with just one person. Poly people who try to ignore their rightful feelings of jealousy are either just valuing their genitals more or are trying to please their partners whims. Both of these reasons are toxic.

I was kinda friends with some before I'd even heard of the stereotypes or memes around it. I was young, less online and didn't know how predicable it'd turn out.

They didn't fit the physical stereotype much (..at first) but even after I'd distanced myself I would run into them places for years afterwards. They were the ones bringing along some new awkward troon friend who didn't talk at all to a social event. Or someone who had an intellectual disability wearing a bdsm collar. And all they did was talk, about how some middle aged guy on fetlife owns them. Collected rando new friends that they didn't even seem to know that well themselves and tried to blend them together with old friends who didn't want to hear that shit all night. It got too uncomfortable.

They slowly lost old friends. Could only relate to new ones over having alternative sex lifestyles, genders, somehow being extra different or disabled. But like, too disabled to probably even be practicing those lifestyles in the first place.

Hollywood is very clearly mostly jewish, but Israel itself seems to have a complete dearth of media output. To the point where in film buff circles I've met more Bollywood enjoyers, and diaspora Indians tell me Bollywood is the most peasant slop imaginable with very few actual gems.

If I lift 1-2 sets with weights a day, does that give me anything or am I really just wasting my time?

I'm thinking any casual exercise is good, so if I can do one little quick set without sweating nor needing to change clothes etc it's just like bonus exercise right? I'm not looking to get beefy, I'm just looking to squeeze in more exercise in my day to day and the lifts do make my arms really tired but without getting to the point of sweating. Question for the Amerifags, why do HOAs exist? I've never seen someone say a single positive thing about their HOA, yet they seem insanely popular and widespread. I understand the 'omg our suburb need to be identical and stable in value' part, but how is someone doing minor work or planting a tree going to impact literally anyone? I come from a country where building admins dgaf if you demolish walls as long as it's not important to the overall structure and you own both apartments, so I'm really confused why a country built on 'MA FREEDAHM AND MA GYYUUN' has a stroke when someone starts a garden.

No. 2581588

>>2581577
I'm not sure when they started, but not all HOAs are restricted and tyrannical as some anons make it out to be. Most of the time, you are paying a fee to hoa and get to vote/attend meetings to decide what to do with said money. A lot of it is to keep the homes looking cleaner or more neat. I had an old neighborhood HOA that had to deal with adding in a dumpster because we didnt have one, and garbage day was 2 times a week. We didnt have bins, because we were in condominiums, so it would pile up in our house until said garbage day. This helped minimize that issue for a lot of us.
Some hoas are bad, but most are fine and dont powertrip. You can usually vote morons out or attend a meeting if you hate rule so much. It's just there so people dont do whatever they want and are attentive to not be a piece of shit to their own neighbor. I've only ever lived in condos and townhouses, so not sure how HOAs affect a house/house area. I also live on the east coast of burgerland, so I can only speak for my area.

Because contrary to internet opinions many Americans do like hoas especially those who use property ownership as an investment. They can't have a high valued property if a junky one is near by so they use hoas to enforce their view of what's visually pleasing. It's always control freaks who are into them because they get to lord over others and punish them if they don't comply. And unfortunately even in places where hoas don't exist people can still get in trouble for their property looking a certain way as code enforcement is a thing. My sibling was on the verge of getting fined for parking a car on the lawn instead of driveway or garage. I have a relative who also gets constantly harassed by a code officer, to the point that this woman will drive in circles around my relatives house looking for things to nitpick. Some people are genuinely that pathetic and unhappy in life that it brings them some satisfaction lording over and punishing others.

I also feel like she is weirdly loud about her boobs and boob pains around the same men she insists are always looking at her and she makes a big deal if any man so much as meets eyes as her but sometimes I sense this odd jealousy and she seems to be always lurking my stories despite standing me up for the manager she's fucking and abandoning plans. Is this a pickme?

Happened to me with a coworker ‘friend’ when I was new to professional work. I was nice to this person because I noticed the others picking on her but in hindsight it was part of her manipulation game.
Reminder avoid being more than superficial acquaintances with office coworkers.

So, what is the correct thing to do if you find yourself in a situation like this?

The right thing would be to strike up a conversation with someone of course, but just imagine this isn't possible. You could stand around and wait until an opportunity arises to talk to someone, or you could just leave. I feel like if you stay, you just further embarrass yourself but leaving is also kind of rude to the person who invited you there. Also, there is a variation of the meme where the other people think positive thoughts about him like "i'm glad he is here" but clearly if they actually thought this they would just talk to him, right?

You can stay silent if you want or you can join in, but either way you're participating in the party more than just hiding in the corner. If I see someone hiding in the corner staring at their phone then I assume they don't want to engage.

Or you can just leave. You can always leave any situation for any reason.

I think that the proliferation of this type of YTber has to do with the popularity of the moid YTbers that did the same thing in the mid to late 2010s, i.e., talking about pieces of media and trends from their childhood in the 90s. I think there was a lack of women doing the same, and because there was such a difference in the 90s-10s with marketing between boys and girls, a lot of the male YTbers wouldn't talk about 'girl games' or 'girl books' or whatever else. These YTbers are just filling the void left by the former group. I actually think it's cool that these women are talking about things from their childhood. It's obvious that they have an affection for the things of their youth and they want to share that with others. A lot of younger people might be interested in what they have to say, even if I, or other adults, might find their content boring. They're no more annoying than the various male YTbers that do the exact same form of content.

Having some umbrella definition of white would essentially mean they are in the same bucket as the people they hate. They have to be as different as possible so they can maintain their tribal prejudices. Where I live in Europe basically everyone hates Russians, not because of race but because they're Russian.

You're going on and on about how they take nationality more seriously than race, but that's not what I asked. I don't give a fuck if Europeans take nationality more seriously than race. I don't give a fuck if Europeans know that Turkish people are from Turkey. I asked how they define race and if they view Turks as their definition of white. You didn't even break down the European definition of race, you and some other anon just kept going on and on about nationality and calling me dumb for being American despite both of you failing to follow what was actually the question. ambigious/exotic: luigi mangioni, olive skin tone, wavy or curly hair, dark brunette, dark eyes, aquiline nose, prominent eyes.

Also it depends on which part of europe you are because in some parts the luigi mangioni phenotype is considered white but in other parts he is not.

>plenty of people experience traumatic events
I think that's where the difference between singular trauma and complex trauma comes in. A well adjusted person in a happy family gets into a car accident. It's devastating, but they have a support system of friends and family to get them deal with the emotional trauma. They have the money to get a new car, and they have health insurance to pay the medical bills. Conversely, someone who is poor, a car accident is a life shattering event. They can't afford to replace the car, they can't afford to go to the hospital, and now they can't even get to work. They're more likely to say "fuck it, my mom died of an overdose, my brother died of an overdose, I think my sternum is fractured from the accident, there's no hope of me ever having a respectable job or a normal life, my life is worthless, so fuck it I'm getting high." I think it's a mixture of intergenerational trauma and addiction genes. Rich people ruin their health and their lives too, just with alcohol and prescription pills instead.

You cant think of it as English words with a Japanese accent. That is the actual Japanese word. If you say it with English pronunciation to a Japanese person, there's a good chance they won't understand. If I try to order chocolate flavour instead of chokoretto flavour, I'll get blank looks.

I'll have a ~8-hour hiking trip in the mountains by the end of this month and I read about all the preparations… and I wonder if I actually need shoes with a waterproof membrane. The forecast shows it's going to be rainy for the whole week I'll be there but the trip won't happen if it's too heavy anyway y'know. Plus the trip is for beginners basically and with a guide.
What do you say nonnies? I'll get the shoes with the proper soles anyway, and I want to be safe and comfortable, but I don't want to spend more than necessary on something I'll wear only a few times this year sooo will I get away with it?

Buying a pair of waterproof hikers for a single eight hour excursion isn't really necessary. Decent quality boots begin to become important if you're planning a multi-day hiking trip, having soaked feet for an entire day is unpleasant but hardly dangerous to health or safety. You can walk up and down certain mountain trails in a pair of loafers and be perfectly comfortable, if it's a guided beginner tour I doubt they'll be leading you through any particularly nasty terrain.
On the other hand, if you have the type of personality that makes you more likely to invest more time into an activity if you've invested more money into it, I can see the benefit.

Yes and if you remember examples they will gaslight you to hell and back that your perspective is wrong and it wasn't like that at all. Or you're discussing a repeating behavioral pattern but they start nitpicking about specific examples instead of addressing the bigger issue you're trying to focus their attention on. Just give up talking to those shits, they should be isolated and normal people should just ignore them so they can only interact with their own kind as far as I'm concerned.
On lolcow many people will defend blatant and obvious abusers and it's such a tell. Someone literally describes their self worth being corroded by a bully and someone will always jump in saying "noo, it's nothing at all", but I doubt it's caused by being sheltered. A normal person who has nothing (intentional) on their conscience when faced with accusations does not ask for proof, they try to resolve the issue in other ways because they care about the person accusing them. In general healthy people solve issues like these completely differently than sickos because they have normal human feelings and want to maintain a good relationship and are usually devastated that they could have hurt someone without realizing it instead of posing as innocent until proven guilty while the proof has to meet their personal standards and they are also the judge of the situation. When manupulators and assholes get accused the situation becomes a battle for them and the person who they roped in to believe is their loved one becomes an enemy to defeat and dominate rather than someone they care about that has to be protected because they create danger for their pride

Similar to Yokohama Kaidashi kikou, another cute slife of life taking place in a post-apocaliptic world but the tone and message isn't pessimistic at all. In fact it isn't even addressed that they are living on top of the ruins of a sunk 20th century city. Life simply goes on, nature and people go on.

Joshi means girl. Danshi means boy.

Yumejoshi = female self shipper
Himejoshi = female yuri fan
Fujoshi = female yaoi fan

Yumedanshi = male self shipper
Himedanshi = male yuri fan
Fudanshi = male yaoi fan

Yumejoshi originated in otome game communities because girls daydream about their ideal boyfriends from their games. Otome games started as text choice games that girls and young women could play on their flip phones on the train to school or work. That's why it has connotations of m/f self shipping only, but since there are otome games with female options, F/F yumejoshis exist and can use this term to describe themselves.

Fujoshi originated by taking the kanji from "respectable lady" and turning it into "rotten lady". They are homophones and sound exactly the same. It is like a visual pun.

Himedanshi originated from the GL manga magazine Yuri Hime (Lily Princess comics). As the magazine is also popular with women, himejoshi is the female version of yuri fan.

Judaism the religion and Judaism the cultural/ethnic group are heavily linked but not necessarily the same thing. There's Ethopian Jews, for instance, and liberal Judaism allows for conversion from any race. When people refer to the "Jewish" race, they're often talking about a small group of both religious and ethnic Jews who come from a small population based in the Middle East who share a common gene pool due to millenia of religious based intermarriage/community (both from within and without). In the United States, at least, those people would be considered white by census standards (which includes people from the Caucuses, Balkans, Turkey, pretty much anything West of Pakistan).

It's all race politics and excluding people you see as less desirable from your privileged in group. The Dutch/German/English descended white people in power wanted to otherize new Italian/Irish/Jewish immigrants and decided they 'weren't white'. It's partially religion (Protestants versus Catholics/Jews), partially economics (it prevented these new immigrants from accessing better/more resources and from 'climbing the ladder'), and partially just weird European racism imported to the US. A person from China or Africa at the time probably couldn't tell the difference between a 'white' and a 'non white' European if given a picture of both.

No. 2589894

Genetic testing puts Ashkenazi Jews a little less white than Sicilians (who have heavy Arab admixture), they're basically half way between Europeans and middle easterners and cluster there no genetic distance tests. They're a mixed race people who eventually became their own ethnicity due to isolating themselves for so long. The Ashkenazi origin comes from male jews from the middle east settling in Italy and taking converted Italian women as wives, and then closing up shop for intermarriage.

Sephardic jews are a bit more "whiter" because the Spanish absolutely broke their communities apart, they weren't as isolated and they more intermarried with Europeans.

As to their whiteness, I've always perceived them as white too. I'm from a part of the world without jews and just always seen them as (admittedly less attractive) white people.

As to their lack of being perceived as "white", it's historically because they've acted hostile to white interests and haven't really wanted to be seen as white. The black/jewish alliance in the United States got started from basically the second the jews stepped off the boats in the 1880s. It's what lead to people like Henry Ford to get distrusting of their intentions. Italians and Irish simply didn't do this sort of racial agitation on the scale that the jews did.
