Hi! I've been lurking these posts now for a few days and I can't believe I found them! Thought I’d tell you all about my interactions with Vicky so prepare for a long-winded post. I’ve been friends with her online for a fair few years now. Ever since my teenage emo/scene days (how embarrassing). I had her as a friend on Facebook and Instagram. I remember being really obsessed with her thinking she was this amazingly beautiful ethereal goddess who just happened to have the face and body of an angel and was talented as fuck and waaayy more intelligent than me lol but over time I started picking up on some inconsistencies. Like the bad Photoshop became obvious. And her constant lying/ bigging herself up whenever possible.
I talked to her on and off, I'm an artist and I used want to do tattooing so of course seeing her work online, naive little teenage me always thought it looked amazing. We talked a few times about apprenticeships (not about working with her or anything, I live in the UK) and how I was struggling to get into the industry. She always found a way to twist the convos round to compliment herself whilst simultaneously insulting me lol. I remember one time she said one of her paintings sold for $100,000. I was dumbfounded. If I remember correctly it was a painting of Marilyn Monroe (I may be completely wrong but I think that was it) Even the most established and well known painters works don't sell for that much.
After finding her Instagram I stalked it for a bit and saw the videos of her talking. In an English accent. I thought that was weird AF because I distinctly remembered her being Canadian or American or something. At this point I'm pretty clued up that she's a liar/exaggerator of the truth etc So I commented on one video and innocently said "where in the UK are you from" As soon as I said that she blocked me lol. I think she forgot we were friends on FB. So I messaged her on there asking why she deleted me and she goes: "I heard from some of my friends you were talking shit about me" Bearing in mind I've never talked to anyone she knows. We live in different countries half way across the world LMAO. So I just start going off on her saying "aww hun that's a really bad fake accent if you like I can give you some lessons". Light hearted stuff, no insults. and she's just hurling abuse and swear words at me. Rude as hell for no reason. She clearly had her guard up. I didn't know why but now I've seen this whole online community calling all her shit out I get it. I'm so fucking glad I found this place it's honestly made my day haha. I used to think I was the only person seeing her as a conceited, self-obsessed, really bad photoshopping idiot.
My take on her is that back in 06/07 when she first got popular online, she really liked the attention. And she’s been feeding into it ever since. By creating this fictitious fairy tale online persona. Everything she portrays herself to be online is what she is so desperately insecure about. I remember first seeing one of the videos in utter disbelief that anyone would think that was cool. She is trying so hard to be the Ultimate Dream Babe.
