Lived this manga (let's go karaokê) and read their other stuff that was on mangago and I loved it all so much. I'm glad there's a continuation where Satomi is an adult but still friends with kyouji. The other one about the weird boy was delightful. Highly recommend. Yeah it's fujobait bit it's funny, sweet, and I love the art style.

Zankyou. The main guy is some pyscho kid who kills people no problem and his sidekick is some gay tranny. It got weird and creepy with the sexual stuff but not in a glorifying way if iirc, and it was depicted more as a bad thing. But the tranny was portrayed positively despite being exposed as a tranny from his first appearance when some mafia boss guy was raping him. The story kinda went nowhere and the ending was kinda sad and I didn't get what it was trying to tell or say. It felt too short and underdeveloped. But maybe I'm just retarded and don't get this genius masterpiece or something.

Riichi Ueshiba as a whole. I actually love his mangas even though he's a raging lolicon but i'd still read it all if i didn't like anything besides the art. His style is truly unique and i really like his blend of otaku shit and occultist/folklore elements. Your picture is a perfect example of this aswell. This author is my favorite manga artist of all time. Have you watched the Manben episode on his process? The man is fucking insane with his tools and methods.
Scribbling with ballpoint pens and double photocopying shit like a deranged boomer kek.
His work doesn't get english releases but I trawl ebay for second hand spanish editions just to have a physical copy. My other favorites form him are Hito Hitori Futari (the premise is ridiculous– "prime minister on an anti-nuclear crusade aided by floating spirit realm woman" kek, but I loved it), and bakkuon rettou is good too but long. I also liked the one set on a cruise ship just because I liked the setting, it's not a masterpiece of storytelling though kek.
I really liked zankyou actually, I found it pretty compelling. The opening is totally wack kek but whatever, it hooked me well enough so it did its job.
I didn't mind the tranny stuff so much because it's pretty clear it's a traumatized gay guy, plus he used the men's baths even when directed towards the women's which I respected.
I feel like male manga authors always have weird sexual stuff they shove into their work, but the stuff in this one only happened to moids so it didn't bother me much compared to say, the underage sexualization or male-on-female rape scenes you see in other mangas. That stuff I won't read. But the main moid being raped by some fat ugly evil lady? (that happens in this one, right? it's been a while kek) kind of nasty sure but I'll take 500 ugly fat lady rapists over one 12 year old girl pantyshot.

I liked it, I enjoyed that the mom and the teacher were sickos to the end. The end was honestly a little sweet?
Crazy though for Chako to have Gen, who attempted to rape her once, come and live with her aunt when she and her mom are there to escape domestic abuse. I wonder if it's because the author sees him as a woman.
Also I still think this series would be 10x better if Reiji were female kek Kinda ended up feeling like Reiji breaks the cycle of generational abuse by default because he's male, especially since Yuko's brother got to escape too. Would have been meaningful if he was a female but as things are I'm just like… whatever.

The trap was fine, but the futa was fucking insufferable. This mangaka gives me the vibe of libfem in the streets, TERF in the sheets. On one hand, there are too frequent and too sympathetic portryal of weird fetishes from the npcs, the futa gets too much screentime and is treated as a super sexy Femme Fatale who charms almost everyone except our main couple and always gets the she/her treatement. At the same time, most of the fetishists are are annoying and eventually put in their place, and the futa is acknowledged as a sex pest by the main cast and gets harshly thrown out of the female bathroom kek. I also love the way the hero looks, I love strong female characters like that and appreciate that she's actually curvy but her outfit isn't the shitty boob armor kind.

I find the manga extremely entertaining but not remotely relatable. I feel no personal connection to the story, it's just fascinating and I know every time the characters have an emotional breakthrough I'm not going to understand it or agree with it at all which is kind of refreshing. It seems to be following its own logic. Frankly I don't like a single character. It feels like I am seeing something I wouldn't normally see. The author has a private twitter that I follow, he only posts in english and portuguese because his editors banned him from maintaining a Japanese twitter. he has mentioned sometimes about how he has to make sure no japanese people find his english/portuguese account or he'd have to close it down per his editors lol

BNHA already ended. Mangakas no longer want to do long runners because the adverse health effects of being a mangaka are common knowledge now, which is a good thing for the health of both the creators and also preventing stories from outstaying their welcome, but it does put more pressure on publishers to find new hits faster.

Yes and no, he wanted to make JJK but he was forced to incorporate elements he didn't care, and these elements still have an impact on the series in most of the chapters. He was either forced to work around them the whole time because it was too late to change everything (the culling game arc was supposed to be the first one in a draft called Jujutsu Sousen where Megumi is the MC and Yuji is his best friend so characters but Gege thought Megumi as the MC was too boring, I assume changing that is why we barely see Tsumiki, and why he had to remove a whole arc about rescuing Gojo) or decided to get rid of these elements as soon as he could (the school setting, thank fucking god but people complained that it made the world building half assed).

Overall I absolutely love Berserk's Golden age arc, to me it's peak character drama. To me, Berserk was all about philosophical conflict between Griffith and Guts and because later arcs lacked that drama, it never hit me as much as that one. But I hate the pornographic coomer way miura drew Casca's rape with passion. I just fucking hate it. It looks like hentai. I remember first watching the '97 anime when I was like 16 and being impressed with how the rape was potrayed; minimalist, no sexualization, it looked like the horror it truly was. We knew all we had to know. I was curious how it looked like in the manga and… and holy shit. It made me cringe so hard. Why so many angles and positions?? It looked like the author literally got off while drawing this. I hated it so much. That's one of the reasons why, unpopular opinion, I will go back to '97 anime more often than to manga version. The music was perfect. I also loved the fact that Griffith looked like a man, albeit pretty and a little effeminate, and not like the literal tranny he was in the manga. If they didn't cut off Gut's backstory, and added more dialogue from the manga, it would've been perfect.
Another unpopular opinion regarding Berserk is that it should have ended after the Eclipse. It should've always been a cautionary tale, with some philisophy sprinkled here and there, not a story of revenge or getting over trauma and other bullshit. And now we won't even see the intended by the author ending (if there even was any). The most curtually impactful part of Berserk was always the Golden age so it's not like we would lose some parts of media (like Souls games and shit) without the rest of the manga.

I'm not sure I understand. I didn't have anyone influence my conclusions, I don't even get bringing up shonentards since Berserk is seinen
But yeah I heard about him being a lolicon. I mean, just how the art style totally changed to some moe garbage and he brought too many childlike looking characters tells you a lot. Faggot spent 10 years playing IDOL MASTER while we were on the boat arc…
It still spurs a conflict within me, because I only care about Golden age arc and I both hate it for the rape shit and love it for the philosophy and character drama. There should've been a graphic rape on Griffith instead

Unironically yes. That would have been perfect. Instead of Casca getting raped, Femto should have been raped by the other members of the God Hand as initiation or something, in order to imbue him with powers and then he can remain as he is characterized afterwards, with memory issues (mindfucked) and Casca could actually be involved in the plot. We were robbed, sisters.

No. 414385

>>414379
I think it would've been just as fine if no one were raped because the trauma the band went through was enough without the sexual violence. It wouldn't make sense for Griffith's characterization to have memory issues after becoming Femto. I think he should've just lost his memory entirely if it was essential, but it brings up another problem with Guts and Casca's child having a piece of him in it. But I agree that Casca's dumbing down was super misogynistic and it would've been better if she wasn't raped and was simply too riddled with trauma to be as effective as she used to be.

When Umar kissed Pariya, man…I have re-read that part multiple times KEK, it was just adorable The twins were my fav when I first read the manga, they're chaos personified kek. Their wedding was so fun and their relationship with their mother, it's all so fun.

Dialogues were pretty bad too but it might a translation issue, to me it always felt like the characters were not saying everything and were telling half the true dialogues, TRC was the biggest culprit (very hard to explain on text, sorry).

I expected something with the MC being an elementary school kid, but the Deep Raputa author is really a shotacon throughout. It's about a kid telling 100 ghost stories to an unseen object on his desk, and the increasingly creepy things that happen as he does. Man… it's over. I don't hate the ending by itself, but the missed potential is huge. It sucks that Gege wanted to cut the story short.
It also bothers me that there was no real mention of Gojo afterwards, besides the flashback with Yuji. I'm not really a fangirl of his, but seriously, just a tombstone in the same chapter where Megumi and Shoko were, would've been enough
It was also sweet that Sukuna decided to take a different path. All in all, could be worse, but could've been miles better too. Iirc Gege is also going to be at Jumpfest 2025 or whatever, so I hope he'll clear up some stuff in the future.

Its literally wasted potential: the manga, what a shame. I still had fun seeing what hilarious shit Gege could come up with weekly though kek. My biggest problem was probably how Yuji's family stuff was never properly addressed. I know he went out of his own way to make Yuji not care about it, but as a reader I still care especially when its core to elements in the story. Kenjaku could've been so interesting. I personally don't care about Gojo and all his fans that are deranged enough to think he's the MC or that this is his show.
The fanbook will certainly be interesting to see Gege explain all the shit he left untold.

>the missed potential is huge.
I wouldn't call it missed potential, it's more that the exact same story with the exact same plot points and characters could have been told in a better, slower pace but Gege rushed the last parts. There are things that fans have requested for a long time that I think are unnecessary like a whole flashback arc of the Heian period focusing on Sukuna because his past and his feelings about it were implied and easy to guess anyway, same with Gojo's childhood being so easy to guess that the recent Gojo guidebook basically confirmed like a dozen of popular headcanons, but then there are things like how the culling game ended very abruptly. Maybe I misunderstood the new rule Kenjaku imposed on everyone before dying, the one that states that if everyone but him and Sukuna possessing Megumi's body dies the merger starts. Then you have everything about Tengen being vague as hell, not in a "things are implied go and guess what could happen next" but in a halfassed way. I also wished we saw the long term consequences of everything that happened in general not just for the characters but for the whole world.

Honestly I don't expect a sequel but it could work, especially if it happens like the main series compared to JJK0, with new main characters and antagonists, but the previous characters are still somewhat relevant. I expected worse tbh, the ending isn't bad, just unfinished and rushed, I can rewatch the anime or reread the manga without the story being ruined for me after that. And I'm so glad Gojo isn't back. If it happened it would have ruined everything for me, it would have been way too convenient. Even he didn't mind dying, now he's with his boyfriend in an airport and maybe everyone in there will be reincarnated at some point and will have a chance at a much better life.

>Manga Toshokan Z" (Manga Library Z), a digital service for publishing rare out-of-print manga for free, announced on Tuesday that it is shutting down on November 26. According to the website and founder/manga creator Ken Akamatsu (Love Hina, Negima!), the website had issues with credit card companies and a termination of all payment services. After careful consideration of how to rebuild its operations, the company decided to shut down due to payment services being unavailable.

They aren't targeting Japanese media exactly. It's more like non-english language content was overlooked until recently, though enforcement has gotten stricter across the board over the past few years. These rules have been in place in the west for a long time, western companies publishing 'risky' content like visual novel storefronts will be very particular in how they present their products. If you have a guro rape eroge you sell it as a 'dark horror visual novel' and give no indication as to the sort of adult content it really contains to sneak it past the regulations.
Japanese sites have been used to operating in a basically lawless zone for a long time so the amount of offending content is so large it's not even worth trying to adapt to the rules, and they just drop card support entirely.

What a disaster. Tags like 'guro' exist for a reason - everybody, people who are into guro and those who do not want to see that sort of content, benefits. Now there is going to be even MORE outrage and morality-policing when more unsuspecting (newfag) buyers get games that are too unpalatable for them.

The story operates off of a complicated subject and no matter which way it leans will need time to establish itself. Nothing we've seen so far is concrete re:how things will ultimately go. The dialogue in the manga I'm currently reading feels so incomprehensible at times. I wonder if it's also bad in japanese, or if I'm reading a poor translation. The scanlation group has made some glaring mistakes, like typos and messing up pronouns (not in a gendie way, but in an ESL way). But the dialogue is also repetitive. The characters always repeats the same information that is already established. So maybe the mangaka is just a bad storyteller.
