>>1713275I'll bite. I live in a European country where we have one indigenous group of people who differ very significantly genetically, culturally and linguistically from the majority population. They are also white and have historically been subjected to racism such as use of slurs, not being allowed to speak their native language in public, and even forced sterilization and weird experiments during the days when race eugenics was in vogue. That’s racism in its literal sense, fear/suppression of a different race than your own. However, it gets complicated when you consider these people have also interbred with the other population group for hundreds of years, so what constitutes as being part of the indigenous group? The world is more globalized and intercultural than ever, so the race concept oftentimes seems redundant, impossible to define, and I think it will eventually become irrelevant. Still, black people probably experience this specific type of racism the most to this day because of skin color, at least in the west.
However some would argue racism also includes fear of a different culture than your own. I think for most people in Europe these days, race isn’t a problem, but we still fear other cultures. A hot example is the increase of Islamic populations here which has led to higher tension in some countries, whether justified or not. People don’t give a shit about their skin color, it’s the culture they fear. There is also animosity between different European countries where the populations look more or less the same, but they have differing cultures, same with Asian countries. I think this type of racism, or whatever you wanna call it, will always exist as long as you have two differing cultures.

And just because you have curly head hair doesn't mean you automatically have curly pubic hair.
The growth in that region is more dependent on the shape of the hair follicle (round or oval) and the angle it is at on the mons veneris.
Ethnicity and genetics also play a role, people of Asian descent often have more straight hair where people of African descent will have curly or coiled pubic hair.

>The widely cited statistic that one in three women ages 35 to 39 will not be pregnant after a year of trying, for instance, is based on an article published in 2004 in the journal Human Reproduction. Rarely mentioned is the source of the data: French birth records from 1670 to 1830. The chance of remaining childless—30 percent—was also calculated based on historical populations.
>In other words, millions of women are being told when to get pregnant based on statistics from a time before electricity, antibiotics, or fertility treatment. Most people assume these numbers are based on large, well-conducted studies of modern women, but they are not. When I mention this to friends and associates, by far the most common reaction is: “No … No way. Really?”
>Surprisingly few well-designed studies of female age and natural fertility include women born in the 20th century—but those that do tend to paint a more optimistic picture. One study, published in Obstetrics & Gynecology in 2004 and headed by David Dunson (now of Duke University), examined the chances of pregnancy among 770 European women. It found that with sex at least twice a week, 82 percent of 35-to-39-year-old women conceive within a year, compared with 86 percent of 27-to-34-year-olds. (The fertility of women in their late 20s and early 30s was almost identical—news in and of itself.) Another study, released this March in Fertility and Sterility and led by Kenneth Rothman of Boston University, followed 2,820 Danish women as they tried to get pregnant. Among women having sex during their fertile times, 78 percent of 35-to-40-year-olds got pregnant within a year, compared with 84 percent of 20-to-34-year-olds. A study headed by Anne Steiner, an associate professor at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine, the results of which were presented in June, found that among 38- and 39-year-olds who had been pregnant before, 80 percent of white women of normal weight got pregnant naturally within six months (although that percentage was lower among other races and among the overweight). “In our data, we’re not seeing huge drops until age 40,” she told me.https://web.archive.org/web/2/https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2013/07/how-long-can-you-wait-to-have-a-baby/309374/ No. 1714981

I have trichotillomania, a mental disorder involving a strong urge to pull out hair. I'm personally not interested in pulling scalp or face hairs (boringly thin and require a mirror to see), just body hair. I've been like this since childhood.
Obviously it is a mental disorder and, you know, not normal and stuff. My loved ones urge me to quit. But I find myself thinking… Why? It's fun and doesn't bother me, in fact it helps me reduce stress. And even though it can look unsightly because of scarring, it doesn't harm my health. I don't really mind that it leaves ugly marks honestly, I'm confident with my body.
The only real downsides are a slight risk of messing up and cutting myself in a way that lets bacteria enter and the fact that it's a time-wasting unproductive activity, plus the fact that it freaks people out, but I feel like these are all minor and don't make me feel bad about my life or anything.
Idk, do I just not get it because I'm crazy? Is it worth trying to stop if it doesn't bother me? I oscillate between wanting to quit or tone it down purely because my bf finds it unnerving, and feeling like it's just not a big deal and not being motivated. He's not mean about it or the aesthetic consequences either, he just worries I'm hurting myself.

not to see my hypothetical boyfriend getting at least teary eyed at such moment. It's the manchild fest and rage that women don't like but many men consider "showing emotions"
I remember going to the vet and sitting in the waiting room, my cat was just diagnosed with cancer and I was devastated, I was wondering how much time he had left (not much). Next to me there was a guy in his mid-late 40, crying. He came to put his female cat to sleep. He showed me her photos, told me how hard it was for the family to make this decision but they didn't want to prolong her suffering, she already had cancer metastasis to other parts of her body. He couldn't stop crying and I felt so sorry for him and for his kids and for the kitty. I still feel sorry thinking about them, I didn't have a single thought about it being weird or something. It's about empathy and for an empathetic person this reaction is totally natural

what the fuck is the point of asking someone their pronouns, specially in the anglosphere?
like, my prounouns are me, myself, i and mine, because i don't speak or think of myself in the third person. when talking with someone you address them as you, not him or her, because that's 3rd person, and speaking of someone in their presence without addressing them directly is rude (at least where i come from, i thought it was the same in english speaking countries?).
like, in french or spanish, i would understand asking what grammatical gender a person would prefer, since verbs and adjectives can be gendered, but english is pretty fucking neutral.

It’s utterly stupid because in the end it makes people have to explain themselves unnecessarily, specially in real life scenarios like, idk, buying a coffee or literally anything else.
It’s just a way for idiots to waste the time of everyone by making you have to spend a whole 1 to 10 minutes learning about fae/faer pronouns so you can refer to this random woman after you get her order of a pre-made burger and fries. If that doesn’t seem like too much, imagine having to do this all day long with random people while being underpaid.

What is the difference between flirting and banter and teasing?
I got a boyfriend for the first time and yesterday we went out with my younger more experienced cousin and I don’t know if I’m reading too much into things for fear of being taken for naive, which she loves to tease me about for. But she started like taking jabs at my boyfriend saying she doesn’t like him, like ugh you are annoying and dumb, because there’s a bit of a language barrier. But she wouldn’t say it seriously just jokingly. She told him at one point that he obviously doesn’t go to the gym or something like that, just to make fun of his body, but also not if that makes sense? Because he’s obviously fit… and she had already asked me before if he went to the gym and was surprised when I told her no. Anyway then at some other point she was making fun of some white hairs he has, she tried touching his hair but he didn’t let her, but then she said how she wants white hair and he joked about ripping some of his to give to her. Then when we were leaving I was talking to him and she was sitting in my car in the passenger side and his car was on that side, we were in between his drivers side and she would like stick her tongue out at him and the flipped him the bird too. Then I tried getting her to cut it off by putting her on the spot and telling him in front of her how she had said “poor” him when I broke up with him in the past to just be like, she doesn’t actually hate you lol. I don’t know maybe that was dumb of me but I just wanted her to treat him normal. After we left she asked in the car if it made me uncomfortable that she was treating him like that and I told her I just didn’t want her acting like she doesn’t like him when she does and to just treat him normal. Then she said she treats him like that because she doesn’t like him romantically which just left me even more suspicious because I wouldn’t think she did if she treated him normal? Then she explained how once she had a school friend that got mad at her for treating her boyfriend nice. Anyway that whole interaction made me not exactly uncomfortable but just like, hmmmm. Not angry per say,
But a little upset. But I don’t know anything about romance so I wanna clear up what differentiates flirting from banter and teasing? I don’t wanna think bad about either of them

can never dating in your formative years mess with your preferences? i never dated any during my teenage years or twenties. i'm now a 31 year old woman without any sexual or romantic experience but my type is stuck at "men in their early to mid 20s." i do find some men my age attractive, but i feel like they always look too old for me. like i see a man my age or a bit older with a bit of stubble and think ew to myself, meanwhile some 23-year-old with a bit of stubble is insanely attractive to me. it makes me feel bad because i really hate age gaps between older men and much younger women (or girls, in most cases), but here i am drooling over men up to 10 years younger than me.

>>1719181If your aunt keeps going like this, she may burnout. Being on high alert all the time, especially for a verbally
abusive scrote wears people down. I assume you are in a really tight spot and she is stubborn about caring for him (and unfortunately being his punching bag), but if you can subtly try making sure she has social plans and getting a carer for those when she has a specific reason maybe she will accept it. I don't think she will first hire a nurse and then plan to relax. From what little detail you supply, your uncle sounds like an asshole. Yes he's sick but treating his wife and caretaker like that is disgusting. You could also try to first hire a day carer one day during the week, and make the excuse it's to help your aunt keep up with the chores or something, instead of trying to hire one first for a day of relaxation. This way she won't feel more guilty.
In patriarchal society (which all societies are), women often derive their identity from perfectly playing the gendered role and being "good" wives and mothers. It's probably a sense of pride and of your aunt's identity to care for your uncle even at her expense (possibly in the name of "love" too). Your other aunts may be repressing guilt for not caring for their father by pressuring your aunt to keep caring for him like this without a carer. In my family, my aunts kept passing around my grandfather because it was hard to take care of him (also was a cantankerous old man with many needs that were difficult), and put off sending him to a nursing home. Not a 1:1 experience, but I understand strain on family members caring for the sick and elderly unfortunately has. My parents were stressed and fought all the time when he lived with us.

I know there probably isn't a simple answer to this question but I've been wondering about this for some time now.
Take me for example: several people have told me they find me attractive and I often get called pretty, cute etc. but I just can't see it my self. I can see my self as average or okay-looking in the mirror or in selfies, but I always find my self ugly in photos other people have taken of me. It's just weird and confusing. About karma: I personally don't believe in it, and I generally only call demons if it's something I definitely want, that way it's easier to remain unbothered and not attract bad karma to yourself. But if you do believe that casting negative spells will bring you negative karma, then you can call on your guardian angels to protect you from all negative energies during and after the ritual. Usually your guardian angels (sometimes also called archangels) are the angels most closely associated with your birthday/star sign, but individual demons also have angelic emissaries that you can call upon when evoking them, regardless of whether you have your own angel or have done angel work before. Each demon has a different angelic emissary, and most have more than one (many have 3). You don't have to evoke them separately, many expanded sigils have the angelic sigils embedded too (in picrel, the sigils of the 3 angels are depicted in red).
Another way to protect yourself from negative karma is by using the Shem HaMephorash, which is basically the 72 "light entities" that balance out the 72 "dark entities" of the Lemegeton/Ars Goetia. Again, many demons have their own that is associated with them, but if you do angel work you can call on any of the light entities that feels right to you, including your own guardian angel. This is the purpose of the "by the power of 1, 2, 3, 4" in my notes, I call upon the Shem angel + the 3 angelic emissaries or 3 of my own guardian angels using the angelic psalm (see picrel), but again, this is an optional step, used only for added protection against negative energy.
No. 1720523
>>1720474Also, this is the purpose of making a talisman, you can "trap" the demon's energy when you invoke it into an object (a talisman can be made of anything: paper, crystals, toys/stuffed animals, etc), and when the ritual is done you dispose of the talisman, when you do that, you get rid of the ritual's energy. If you no longer have it, then you no longer have the negative energy associated with the ritual (therefore, you cannot be cursed with the negative karma because it no longer exists for you)

I still have it saved because I wouldn't want to accidentally cleanse away or dispose of the money energy lmao
The rule of thumb I follow is "dispose of the talisman and cleanse, when it feels right." Sometimes you can keep the energy around as long as you want/need to.

>>1720616Yes, it depends on the practice. There's "physical" magickal practices that are very hands-on and use objects/blood in rituals where the objects are disposed of right away, then there's the "set it and forget it" type that may or may not use objects, and destroying the objects is entirely optional (and objects are sometimes used as offerings as well), then there's the "mental magick", where objects are rarely used and if they are, they are not destroyed.
Some examples I can think of off the top of my head are:
Physical magic: usually seen in African practices such as Santeria, Palo Mayombe, and Vodou, as well as some variations of Luciferian worship
Set it and forget it: Goetic demonolatry (which is what I practice - ritual objects, sigils, and offerings are sometimes kept, sometimes discarded, and are often symbolically discarded through burning, burial, etc after a certain amount of time), Qabbalah, Wu (shamanism)(only some sects)
Mental magic: Tarot/card-mancy, Law of Attraction, many New Age spirituality groups, objects are rarely used and if they are used, they are cleansed but never discarded

Remember to not only ask but also give back to her. Cartels worship her because she doesn't discriminate in petitions and will help them in whatever goal they need to achieve but said goals are lethal ones and the offerings are therefore large. If men are overwhelmingly attracted to extremely feminine women, then why aren't women that much into hypermasculinity? Sexual dysphormism in our species suggests that women should be attracted to the manlier men, but in reality it's quite different. A lot of women find strong hairy brutish men quite unappealing, I watched an interview from the 60s and even back then when tradshit was still around, pretty much all the women who were questioned about their ideal type said they dislike bodybuilder muscular men. Women are attracted to masculinity, but it's up to a certain point, and usually it's masculinity mixed with some feminine features. In the 90s dicaprio was all the rage, women all over the world were in love with him and he had a pretty baby face with very soft features. He doesn't look particularly feminine but there's no rugged masculinity either. The most famous heartthrobs are all just pretty men with a mix of feminine and masculine features or dark elegant brooding types. When dilfs get popular it's because they're handsome or appear gentle and soft, and usually they were pretty boys in their youth too. Even if some women enjoy the hypermasculine, I don't think you could ever manage to convince the majority of women that some spartan muscular chad or MMA balding champion could ever be as attractive as jack from titanic (I personally don't like dicaprio much but it's a fact he was loved by an insane amount of women worldwide. Legolas is another good example because he looks even more feminine in his movie and again, he had hordes of fangirls.).
Tldr; why aren't women attracted to hypermasculine men even though evolution says that should be the case?

Older women don't fangirl, that's a young girl thing so of course you'll only see their young preferences reflected online. A married 40 year old woman fangirling openly about dicaprio is seen as creepy, gross, slutty (openly thirsting over someone who's not her husband), and if she has kids she'll be shamed for embarrassing them etc
Men are more shallow and go more by looks - hence attraction to hyperfemininity/masculinity. Women value skills and personality more - hence attraction to a greater variety of men.

Moids with that body type are the human equivalent to a Belgian blue or bull terrier or whatever, they end up looking grotesque, uncanny and sickly. Only other moids obsess over hypermasculine men. That being said, straight women are generally speaking attracted to dimorphic traits (think inverted triangle shape).
>>1722788I’m the same. I used to be obsessed with feminine men as a teenager. Gradually a flip switched and now I prefer more traditionally masculine traits. Not bald dadbod tier, but normal fit, healthy guys. I think body hair is attractive. I love dudes with broad shoulders, slim waist and a cute booty, practical muscles that shows the guy can move around and work, large hands, all the regular boring stuff. I disagree that a woman in her 40s shouldn't fangirl or admire a pretty guy though, it's natural to appreciate someone's beauty. Like he has the extreme jaw, extreme hunter eyes, etc. They make these charts of "attractiveness scale 1-10 for men" and 10 is always full of guys like that. I don't deny that many women find that attractive also, but to assert that that's the only type of attractive guy and it's the pinnacle of what is attractive to women is a moid falsehood. Women's tastes are so incredibly variable. If you polled 100 women on what is a "10", there wouldn't be a consensus. There would be division and arguing like there always is in these discussions. Meanwhile, a group of 100 men by and large agree on what is a "10" to them. Their tastes are much more uniform and predictable. Men only claim to be more open because they are willing to settle to get sex. Just because they would sleep with a "sub 5" and women wouldn't doesn't mean men are less shallow. And women aren't lying when they say kpop stars, cowboys, ugly cute nerds, models, and paul dano are all their ideals. Different women like different things and one woman can honestly find one man super attractive that another finds supper repelling. This is not really a thing with men, outside of extreme fetish stuff like BBW.

It's not that women are "less visual" it's that men are dumb and easily manipulated into being turned on by visuals.
Partly because evolutionary speaking most women (about 70%) had kids - most men (only 30% did) didn't. I wish women would stop arguing and putting each other down about their tastes in guys and instead accept and embrace the differences. I think it's really beautiful and interesting seeing how diverse female tastes are. If we were all into the same shit, as men are, it would be so boring.

Of course, preparations should be made to ensure kids are brought into the safest and resourceful environments possible.
>inb4 just adopt!!! I would if the US didn't make the bar for adoption so lengthy and unobtainable. Working folks actually have to get their companies to "sponsor" them with money in order to make adoptions work and it's bullshit. Employers won't even let most people take time off so they can make adjustments for their adopted children. I don't agree with foreign adoptions as it causes human trafficking issues. Biological children make so much more sense financially and physiologically.
Also, idc if it sounds selfish, but governments should incentivize adoptions if society pressures strangers to raise other people's kids, instead of asking why our system failed providing the biological parents with birth controls and abortions if there was no intention to raise their kids in the first place. Isn't it funny how there are browbeaters who want to whip well-meaning couples into being responsible for other people's kids, but never shame the birthparents who statistically put their own kids into the predicament due to their neglect, drug abuse, or incarceration (look it up)?
So sick of seeing tantrums over middle class Manny and Margaret wanting a biological child and throwing the flawed adoption system in their faces as some bullshit solution to overpopulation–as if that's ever stopped the unfit from fucking. Just seems like cuckery with extra steps.

At least in the US there is a huge societal pressure on women to have kids ASAP. If you don't, everyone from your family to random fucking strangers on the street will make your family planning their business. Also I don't know if you've been paying attention, but getting an abortion in many states is deliberately being made difficult to impossible. For many women, being married or partnered is a matter of pure survival, as one person can't afford housing and basic necessities unless they're really well paid. Then there's men being basically oversized toddlers themselves who have to be taken care of without returning the favor.

The ideal for families that want to have more than one child would be making sure you can have them as close to age as possible because that way they will just have to be siblings wether the like it or not. Unless the older child really likes other children and babies and is excited about having a new sibling.

valid. Putting it in the title might work actually; I guess I could use the primary vocaloid as the artist, the producer as the album (for I do agree that the vocaloid is far more important), and then all secondary vocaloids in the title. It would make the title really unwieldy (Phantom Thief F's Scenario ~Mystery of the Missing Diamond~ feat. Megurine Luka, Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len, Gumi, Kaito, Meiko, Camui Gackpo, IA, Mayu) but at least I would be able to sort by the primary vocaloid.

I think digital art is just really popular among young people because it's accessible (most kids have a basic iPad or can download drawing programs on their computer for free) and there's large art communities for cartoon fandoms that kids are interested in.

We call our system the "solar system" more as a legacy term (i.e. that's what we're used to calling it so we'll keep on with it even though the terminology has changed) but it's technically a planetary system. Planetary systems are systems of planets or other objects orbiting around one star or a star system.

I mostly download full albums as opposed to single songs because I care about audio quality, and my system for that is:
Artist field - [producer name] feat. [vocaloid name(s)] eg. ギガP feat.鏡音リン,巡音ルカ
Album Artist field - the producer name, the doujin circle name or record label (if it's a commercial release), admittedly I am a bit inconsistent on this one
I browse my library by album artist then album name so this works for me. Also, because I'm pedantic, moonrune tags for everything instead of romaji. I use foobar2000
My loose mp3s from forever ago are are just loose mp3s in a folder and I don't really care about them, but they are sorted by voicebank. If I have to download one I usually name the file with the video/song title + the niconico sm#/youtube URL for reference.

>>1725464Oh, very thorough! Yeah, I'm nowhere near that diligent but that's a great system, though you still end up with the vocaloids in one unsortable string.
>>1724829The basic windows tagging convention lets you do that, and then I guess foobar must be the only program that actually uses it properly! I might switch to that then, but it's a shame I can't install it on my walkman.
>>1724759Oh, the collab tag is a good idea. In cases like VanaN'Ice where there's an actual group name for the specific collab, that would definitely work. Maybe I could come up with bandnames for all the core vocaloid groups and then tag any extras in the title… then the only problem would be keeping track of which combinations all the made up names go with…!
No. 1725518
>>1725473Okay, I think the collab tag idea might be my best shot. I still can't sort by individuals this way but at least I can sort by the most common groups and pairings, and if I want to find a specific vocaloid's songs I only have a few groups to check.
Uncommon combinations can be tagged with the main group and then have any extras only in the title (I probably wouldn't be searching by those ones anyway). For extremely uncommon combos where none of the members appear in other songs or combos (mainly utauloids) they can just get butchered however the program wants to, I don't care.
For example, the song I mentioned earlier could be:
Title: Phantom Thief F's Scenario ~Mystery of the Missing Diamond~ feat. IA, Mayu
Artist: Seven Sins
I took a look through my library and I think I can crush a few dozen separate combinations down into probably fewer than 10 main groups with a few edge cases each! Thanks guys!

Exercise doesn't actually burn a lot of calories, though. Building muscle will increase your caloric requirement a little but that's still pretty slow, and it won't help at all if you end up compensating by eating more, which you might do if you don't keep track of your intake. For kanji specifically I would recommend the app Kanji Study by Chase Colburn, which has a really good quizzing and grading system, and is integrated with several other kanji learning programs, in particular Outlier.
If you can't get Kanji Study, you should at least try Outlier if you can. It's a kanji dictionary/study program based on actual chinese linguistics and the real origins of the characters, so it will help with memorizing by giving you concrete information about the characters and making them meaningful to you. It also means you can spot patterns to help you memorize more kanji, so it's better than other programs that just make up nonsense mnemonics that don't have anything to do with the real meaning.

Preface: I can't move out of my apartment until end of spring and the mold problem is exclusive to the ceiling. So.. Do any nonnas have any tips for how to survive with mold? Picrel is the layout of the room and the green parts are where mold is located (it's not that bad, it's slight mold). The shitty wall with the window is the main reason for this, as it's allegedly breaking down and the moisture from outside is causing mold inside. The window is also not great quality, so moisture could be coming through there too. It's currently autumn and it's very heavily raining, so hoping for any kind of renovation work is futile. Uncle suggested destroying the fake wall to check where the mold is coming from, but I presume, as it's a rainy autumn, it'll only worsen the molding on the ceiling there… I also know the layout of the house and above the fake wall mold there's an attic that, during summer, some workers came to work on. It's unknown to me what they did, but it could've helped cause this.
TL;DR - how do I live through a molding problem that cannot be solved as the reason behind it is beyond my means?

I bought a chlorine free spray, picrel, don't know where you live, but this worked very good so far. Still, you should use a mask and glasses if you use any spray. Chlorine free, because I sleep in that room and don't want to use chlorine where I sleep and I can't open the windows for hours because of my neighbours (24/7 smoking bastards) or leave for a month to get the
toxic air out. Next thing I did, I painted it with an anti mould wall paint for bathrooms, so far, the mould stays under the paint and hasn't made any appearance again. As I would have to proof that it's not my fault there is mould in my flat, and it isn't my fault, it started soon after I moved here and the humidity isn't very high and I heat to 20°C, I won't contact the landlord and I hope that it stays like it is right now until I move. So, my advice, cover it up for the next tenant to discover.

>>1729094Firstly, you need to understand it's gonna take time to change. Especially if this habit has been long term, I'm talking like years. A lot of people suggest reading Digital Minimalism by Cal Newport and I think it's a great starting point if you haven't thought in depths about your plans on stopping or why you wanna stop. It's got good pointers, though the book can be a bit repetitive and Newport himself sounds like a jackass. You need to basically have a whole life overhaul nona. You need to figure out why you're doing this, what you'd rather be doing with your time, and baby steps to fix it. For example, I put my phone in a different room when I sleep so I don't scroll before bed. It doesn't always work, because yeah, I can get up and go get the phone, but it's a step in the right direction and even if you only achieve this three days out of a week, it's a start. Just little life changes like that. Idk about iPhone but I know there's built-in app timers on Android that will cut you off once you've used your allotted time. You should really find a hobby that doesn't have anything to do with your phone and keeps your hands busy. I like cross stitching, and it's involved enough that I don't reach for my phone and it gives me great satisfaction when I work on it, unlike doom scrolling.

>>1729398Trans people are never being honest, often not even to themselves. They don't want a real "treatment" they just want what they want, and they want it now. And that thing is whatever the movement says they should want. HRT does nothing but hurt them, surgeries too, puberty blockers ruin their lives, the clothes makes them look like shit and get them targeted by homophobic people, they lose dating pool options etc etc…
The vast majority of them don't even suffer from gender dysphoria to begin with. For the VERY few that do it's a bit like with anorexia - their "cure" involves gaining weight, and that scares them so they'd rather stay sick. The real cure for gender dysphoria means they have to accept their real sex, and that scares them so they don't want it and instead choose to go further into the delusion.

>>1729550At least in the US medicine no longer exists to help people, it’s a money maker. If keeping people sick and dependent on pharmaceuticals/expensive medical procedures makes more money than out and out “curing” them, then that’s the preferred method of treatment.
It’s interesting that the problem can be tied to a lack of grey matter, I wonder if it becomes difficult for them to perceive themselves as themselves and that’s what causes the loss of self identity, kind of like Alzheimer’s but less all encompassing.
It kind of reminds me of some study where a blind woman had her optic nerve reconnected to another part of her brain and she could “see” but when asked how she couldn’t really explain it. Like intuitively she could see things but she couldn’t observe herself seeing them. I wish I could remember more about it because it was super interesting and I wouldn’t mind rereading it again. The brain really is fascinating, how it can continue to function even at reduced capacity and being rewired.

>>1729476See if you can manage to do just one little thing, just once. Like, if your hobby is painting, then instead of trying to browbeat yourself into completing a painting in the morning, just tell yourself that you will get your paints and supplies out, that's it. You have to do that little thing, but after that you can relax and either paint or wait as you please. Don't force yourself to continue with a big task if you really don't feel like it, because then you'll just feel even worse and you won't even want to get started if it means you'll have to complete it.
If you can break through your inertia even once, then doing it again should get easier as your subconscious realizes that it's not so bad and you get in the habit of feeling active earlier in the day. If it's too hard to do even that, see if you can get a friend to do it with you so you have peer pressure. You can also try setting reminders or making a schedule of what you're going to do the day before you do it.

>>1729573I believe that SSRI’s are effective at treating depression in the short term and anti psychotics as well have changed many bipolar disordered and schizophrenics’ lives. I take acid reflux meds almost every night and prescription dose Benadryl to help me sleep. I do agree that medication is over prescribed but I personally cannot function without mine. However, I’d definitely prefer a pill to elective surgeries and elective long term HRT especially if my condition is so severe that I’m wanting to cut my own genitalia off by any means necessary. It seems the lesser time consuming evil as it were. You’re onto something there with pharmaceutical and insurance companies wanting to make a buck off of these procedures. They are costly to both life and wallet.
So as far as the differences in trans brains and naturally bio gendered brains are concerned, from what I understand the amount of grey matter located in specific regions of the brain have a major role in how gender is expressed. Depending on the side, there is an increased or decreased volume of grey matter on each. The reason why the gender dysphoric feel to be a different gender is because the volume in their grey matter is flip flopped and matches those of bio gendered brains. I believe this is largely why they have been so readily accepted is due to study after study confirming this. It’s true also that gender affirming care specifically HRT solves this dysphoria, for the actual dysphoric. What we don’t know is whether this dysphoria can be solved at the root without the need for transitioning which is such a painful, life threatening and permanently altering solution. At least with an SSRI you can cease treatment anytime. You don’t tell a body dysmorphic person to go under the knife if they feel bad about their looks. You try to treat the cause of which there could be many for them. There is only one for the (actual) gender dysphoric. I think it’s worth the research considering the popularity boom of such cases.
Can’t believe I can’t say this shit out loud without someone coming for my throat. It sucks to see them do so much to themselves. I’m not even against body mods btw it’s the extremity and ease at which they do it

nonnie? Are you capable of making a list of what components go into it and do you have a rough understanding what each of them do? Don't have a written guide but I built my own a while ago and starting with the basics helped immensely with everything else. Kinda late where I am but I am bored so off the top of my head,
>1. motherboardthe pc is a matriarchy. as the name suggests, it connects everything else together
>2. CPUthis is your PC's brain, iirc they all come with a fan and you might need to get some separate thermal paste to attach them together for decent heat release. it can reach ridiculous temperatures, so that's an important to keep that in mind if you're not planning on using it for cooking, vidrel
>3. ssd/hdpretty basic, file storage, how many terabytes of cute cat videos you can keep, blah blah. ssds are faster than hdds and not much pricier now
>4. GPUthis is your video card, best of luck navigating these, they all have ridiculous names like sports cars on turbosteroids because computer chimp moids are still moids. it is important to get a good one if you're doing video editing, 3D rendering, playing vidya, you get the picture. don't buy second hand, crypto miners poisoned the market forever, don't believe techbros on youtube if they tell you that apebros have been out of the picture long enough and that it's safe now, it's never safe, there's always a moid who thinks he and his GPU are built different and not ran through
>5. RAMthis will determine if your PC can multitask so hard it'll fry some bacon over the CPU at the same time that it does your taxes and calls your mom, or if it has a hard time breathing and walking at the same time. important for similar stuff as the GPU, and also for tanking four thousand tabs open on google chrome. iirc most motherboards have 4 slots so it's simple to upgrade later unless you're doing mad shit or start out with 250mb cards
>6. PSUjust the power supply. iirc you calculate how much energy everything put together requires to work and get something that can handle that amount with some wiggle room
>7. caseYou don't technically need a case but it is recommended, make sure to get one that can fit everything inside as they vary in size. you can just get an epic gamer one that comes with built-in fans which also takes care of cooling. i never had to worry about cooling with mine tbh. there's also other technically not mandatory things that you might want to add separately like bluetooth adapters and CD/DVD/blueray readers if you're a grandma or into Y2K aesthetics
Look up a few videos about each part. Ah, and you need to make sure specific parts are compatible with each other too, but you can do that relatively easily on the pcpartpicker site. Putting the whole thing together is not too difficult if you like puzzles, it's literally just a matter of checking everything really closely to see which cable goes where, ~maybe~ getting an anti-static mat to do the putting together on top of, and
definitely religiously touching something metal before you touch any part (also avoid touching anything that looks like circuits, eg the entire surface of the motherboard) to get rid of static electricity. It's pretty hard to actually shock something to the point of damage but better be safe. You'll need some screwdrivers too, I think the smaller kinds as well, if you don't already have them. They're cheap and very handy for fiddling with other stuff around the house, good to keep around
You can literally come here or go on reddit for more specific questions, people love to help with this stuff. Don't give up, it's very fun and rewarding once you find your footing and you can brag about doing it yourself to almost anyone who walks into your house.

>>1730013For me I just watched YouTube videos, read beginners guides on the internet (there's a ton of them if you google it!), got to understand what each part of the computer does, and took notes on it. Then I stick to a budget and work backwards from there–I looked at guides and videos that detailed a build within a certain budget eg "building a $1000 PC" and remembered what parts/brands they used. Most often, within a certain budget and within the same tier, they usually recommend only a couple of brands or parts. For example, for graphics card the AMD Radeon R7 is equivalent in both performance and price to the Nvidia 1660 Ti so I looked at reviews online to decide what to get. Then I used pcpartpicker to start building my PC, this one is a very useful site to list down parts you need as it also tells you the price. Good luck

>>1730326Blunt honesty nonna but it doesn’t sound like you’re ready for a romantic relationship. You sound really young or naive (nothing wrong with that but it does make you easier for someone to take advantage). You need to practice your boundaries, resilience and self reliance. At first you might be shakey, it may make you weak in the knees or want to throw up telling people no or asserting your boundaries but it gets easier with time. Do you have a trusted family member/friend you could practice with? Sometimes practicing scenarios can help make them less frightening the first time you encounter them and can help you build up a tolerance to the wave of ill feeling when you assert yourself. It’s not wrong to say no, it’s not wrong to prioritize yourself and well being. When something does go wrong try not to over think it, let yourself replay the event once and any time the memory resurfaces mentally or even out loud say “no, that’s over, I’m ok now”.
A scrote (man) shouldn’t make you want to kill yourself just because he isn’t worthy of you. You are worth more than a man who would pleasure himself to the suffering of other women.
Ask yourself what you want out of a romantic partner. Ask yourself what you don’t want. Make a list if you have to. You can only make and maintain boundaries if you know what you are and aren’t willing to put up with.

>waahhh everyone hates me I have no one everyone is meaannnn to me

I am trying to explain to her that many people love and care about her, and would be willing to listen to her feelings, if only she expressed them, err, normally instead of like a child. How to say that nicely…?
I am not good with words and don't know how to describe this concept to someone who doesn't already get it. We've been through a lot so yes even though this behavior is immature and exhausting, I'd like to at least try to reach out to her before drawing sharper boundaries. Can anyone help me express this idea in a dumbed down super gentle and concise way?

So she's not saying the cards are telling her to kill herself, she's interpreting it as killing the relationship. (Unless I've really badly misread her tone.)
>>1730326All that aside, tarot is nonsense and no good comes of relying on it. Don't look to random chance or spooky spirits to help you; do some introspection, get counsel from someone you trust, etc.
The most important thing is that he gives up porn.
If he won't give it up, or tries to convince you that you're unreasonable or crazy or demanding for wanting him to, or says he's trying to but doesn't seem sincere, or acts like he can't control his behavior and resist his urges, or tells you that he's quit but turns out to be lying, or "gives up porn" but only in exchange for you doing porn stuff for him instead, or gives up porn but will only acknowledge the harm that it does to himself/men and not the harm it does to you/women, then those are all major red flags and you should break up.
Do you trust this man to give up porn? Do you feel safe telling him to give up his addiction without fearing backlash? Do you feel like he respects you? Do you feel like he values your perspective? If so, then he sounds like a keeper. It'll be worth staying with him through the struggle to quit. Help him if you can, you can point him to resources like

In soccer, the idea is that the moids put the ball inside a net so they can score, then they can grab each other’s balls affectionately in order to celebrate the “goal”.
In American football, moids run in a field with stripes, push each other and try to throw the moids of the opposite team on the ground so they can homoerotically rub against each other for the sake of grabbing a diamond-shaped “ball” (is it really a ball if it isn’t ball shaped?) because Americans lack creativity, they decided to grab the name of an already existing sport called “football” then a bit of gorilla glue made of real gorillas and they pasted “American” before the “football” so everyone knows it’s 100% a USA creation even though the name doesn’t really make that much sense because they grab the “ball” with their greasy and sweaty palms, I guess they didn’t like the name of “handball” because that would make them seem gay, as if having to grab the waist of another moid in order to roll on the floor with him wasn’t gay enough.
Because like, how the fuck is that football? They kick the ball like three times per game and that’s it, meanwhile in real football they have to kick the ball with their feet all of the time or they can get legally penalized and murdered for committing the heinous war crime of touching the ball with their pinky fingers by mistake.
It’s also some ESL joke because most people think that calling football “soccer” is ultimately retarded since soccer is actually popular and shit, meanwhile American football is only liked by literally 37% of Americans, so why the fuck do you have to listen to their tiny 37% asses? Nobody even knows who the fuck is a professional ball grabber, meanwhile everyone at least knows the concept of Messi, he has a fucking circ du soleil show, who the fuck in any team of American football has a circ du soleil show? Nobody.
Anyways, American football is ass, soccer (actual football) is better.

want to encourage and engage with the massive, looming insecurity of an emotionally fragile woman? Same reason why there's men who'll date and tell trannies that their delusions are
valid. They're preying on what they think will be some easy sex.

If it's a site with small staff sometimes you can just ask to remove it with a sob story and they'll do so
For others I've just resorted to report spam with various VPNs, its kind of hit or miss though whether a search engine will remove it though

>>1732182Even with sites deleted some search engines keep images or results up for years, or it was archived and those are a hassle to get removed too. Or the sites just ignore your contact or not have any way to even contact in the first place, why did I have to be such a cringe teen. What search engines did the spam technique work on? I’ll have to try it.
