Fundamentally though, the trannies who subscribe to these 'god-of-the-gaps' theories about why they supposedly have a pattern of getting gastrointestinal symptoms once a month are delusional, or so stupid they may as well be delusional because they can't be reasoned with. They didn't use logic to arrive at their conclusion that they have monthly cycles, or that being 'estrogen-dominant' is a category that means anything. They put their conclusion/delusion first, I think it's called motivated reasoning. Their conclusions are that gender identity is legitimate, and they're fundamentally different from other males/'amabs'. Then they cling on to any fact of biology that they can twist, or any unknown aspect that they can take advantage of, to come up with what they think is evidence that backs up their delusion. A lot of them really do believe that they're women or anything fundamentally different than the gross AGP males they've always been, with no basis to this belief. And everything else follows. Because they are DELUSIONAL.
I would guess there are 2 reasons they need to believe the HRT is giving them a 'monthly cycle' or period: one is because they see the effects of the HRT but they aren't enough so they tell themselves the HRT is doing more than it is. I think they also know subconsciously that the fact that they don't have a menstrual cycle sets them apart from women so it's another distinction they seek to get rid of, often to lessen their gender dysphoria (pathological distress at the sexed characteristics of their own bodies). So they tell themselves they basically have a period without the blood. It's the flip side of their 'argument' that because some women don't get periods, it makes no sense to say "women have periods" therefore the fact that they don't get periods doesn't show that they're not women.
I think some of them do experience gastrointestinal side effects from the estrogen (GI side effects, including cramps, are pretty common from most medications). And they associate estrogen with women and a monthly cycle with women, and maybe through confirmation bias they imagine an pattern of having bad cramps roughly once a month. So they subconsciously or consciously twist this into 'it might be a period! it hasn't been disproven!
You also see their backwards reasoning in play when they reveal that sissy porn was their transgender awakening, then conclude that it wasn't because they're autogynephiles, it was just their inner Gender Identity expressing itself. So they're True and Honest women. They ignore the fact that being male and turned on by the thought of themselves as a woman (or feminized) makes them autogynephiles by definition. They cannot be reasoned with. Some of them even attempt to escape being clocked as autogynephiles and male by theorizing/wishful thinking that maybe they are intersex (despite having no symptoms and despite the fact that they would've been diagnosed already if doctors had a reason to suspect they might be).
