Okay, this might be a good place to ask. Why is it that so many people (myself included) go for the characters that are "damaged" in some way? I mean, there are probably multiple reasons why, but I just think it's interesting. I remember even back when I was a little kid, before I understood anything about sexuality or attraction, I'd always have this "do I want you or do I want to be you?" deal going on with characters, who, say, were severely wounded or otherwise fucked over. Not 2D, but it's the first thing that pops into my head: I remember being like 5 years old and thinking Han Solo was sexy as fuck after he was un-carbonited and was stumbling around temporarily blind (well, I didn't know what "sexy" meant, but…); same with Luke after his hand was chopped off. I don't think it was because I wanted to fix/care for/comfort them. It was something about the actual act of mutilation or torture. Same deal with guys who have big-ass facial scars. It makes me feel really guilty. I don't want to be a creepy fetishist.

I don't know. Sometimes I just like to enjoy things. I go see movies that I know aren't cinematic masterpieces, but they're entertaining and they make me happy. I don't really talk about what I like with other people, though, because I feel like they're judging me. So I make myself seem like a "casual" in every single arena.

Went for Jaal because who could refuse first contact with a species. And my most beloved and the one who made me swoon but also the one that makes me the most salty is Reyes, i love his character, he's intersing, good looking and Zevran-like (which is my #1 DA husbando), his voice is swoon worthy (that "to be someone" made me almost drop my planned Jaal romance lmao), a solid 10 choice all around. But the fact that he's not a squadmate bothered the shit outta me, i almost went for him first playthrough but i feel that non squadmate romances normally are a little bland so i tend to save em for later. Bioware missed a great opportunity with him, hope they make him a sequel or DLC squadmate because he's perfect scum husbando material and probably one of my favorite characters from Andromeda. Also the loved angelic pathfinder being with him, being who he is, is quite an interesting ordeal.

It has some glitches (most of which supposedly will get patched this 4th) and overall laziness (mostly in character design and lighting (and some writing)), but the characters and story are pretty great.
It's a lot more relaxed than the OT, which many people dislike because "cringy jokes" are ruining this game or whatever. The writing can be very mixed in terms of quality, some stuff is fanfiction tier and some other is pretty amazing, but eh. The enviorments, scenery and combat are incredible though.
I'd reccomend Totalbiscuit's review, he doesn't spoil anything but he goes into great detail about what the game does great and what it does not from a very unbiased point of view.
Jaal romance is absolutelty fantastic, pretty fleshed out and he's a very cute and loveable character. His voice acting is also one of the best IMO.
For Vetra, unfortunately, the writers seemed to push her aside and she barely has romance scenes or too much character development, but she's still great and has some interesting ambient dialogue.
You can always get origin access (if you play on pc) and try the 10 hour trial, but honestly the first 10 hours of this game are… worse than the rest kek.

I know everyone and their mom's has persona husbando but, Kanji will always have special place in my heart. I love tough/strong guys with domestic hobbies and a cute complex. This is a weird one, but whatever I’m throwing it out there. I recently started reading Goblin Slayer and just… Orcbolg/Goblin Slayer. Honestly, I dig the whole hidden face thing.
In the anime, he’s more or less portrayed as this insensitive hard ass hellbent on exterminating all the goblins (which isn’t incorrect), but in the manga, he’s actually very cute and likable. He cares a LOT about other people and gets flustered easily—he’s just really bad at emoting (and the perpetual armor doesn’t help). Sure, he’s socially stunted and dry, but deep down he’s a really sweet guy.
An artist named Sakon drew a picture of what his face might look like based on what few glimpses we get of him from the manga (and I think the description from the light novel) and honestly. Yeah. It’s nice. Even if he didn’t look like that, I’m sure I’d love Goblin Slayer all the same.
