Since we're on the topic of awful character design and how a lot of them tend to be coomer-pandering, it got me thinking about women character designers vs male character designers. Do you think that when it comes to female character design, women tend to make better and respectable character designs compared to men who do? I mean all these huge boob, wearing lingerie or bikinis as outfits type designs are mostly drawn by moids. Bayonetta imo has a nice design )more-so her sequel look) and she was designed by a woman but the gimmick of her getting nude was by a moid and chances are a woman would never think a concept like that would be good (though I could be wrong, I know some women like to pander to moids).
I started wondering about this after I re-watched Nana and remembered how I liked all the character designs in it and that it was made by a woman, not one single pandering coomer design in sight. And even in Inuyasha, it's pretty even the female characters who do pander to moid attention like Yura the Hair demon, was still designed in a tasteful way. Meanwhile there are countless of examples of moid created media that can feature coom designs.
