I am an elementary school teacher and one of my NINE year old girls is being trooned by her parents. My problem is that of fucking course all the other 9 year olds call her a girl, because they are nine and also because she is one. It’s not bullying or targeting her, they just call her by her actual name and use she pronouns because they’ve been in school with this girl since they were 3 and she decided on this bullshit a month ago.
Well the mom is all up in arms and wants me to fucking have an assembly with my class about pronouns and troons. My admin is in support of this. They seem to think there is some targeted bullying campaign against this girl when she is in fact fairly well liked and has no issues socially. I’m guessing she just comes home weepy about a kid asking why she was in the boys room, when he’s probably genuinely curious. I do have real bullying problems in my class, mostly against the typical targets of harassment (fat girls, scrawny boys, nonwhite kids in my mainly white area etc), but no one has ever asked me to stop my lesson plans to sperg about that.
I’m not going to come out as gender critical to my old ass admin, I doubt they’d understand and just think I’m being needlessly bigoted against a child.
