This is a cornsnake. They come in very distinguishable patterns (what snake breeders call 'morphs').
Judging by the indications on it's head and tail, it's the same snake. It would be too much of a coincidence that someone would be selling an identical cornsnake morph in the same color and in the same area. Nigh impossible.
Wish I could save the little booper–I will say this though: whatever pussified family gave up their corn because he nipped once are cowards. Cornsnake bites don't hurt, at all. I've had cats claw and bite me more painfully.
