Pixielocks, of late LACE infamy, is a 26-year-old washed-up Youtuber residing in Fredericton, NB, Canada. She is infamous for her DID & Autism LARPs on social media. She trivializes mental health while managing to compartmentalize every single personality flaw of hers, all while hyping up dubious diagnostic impressions that she received from a poorly-trained “therapist” that wasn’t licensed to diagnose patients. Great timing anon, I just finished up running a couple tests on Jill's stuff.
I ran some of what I consider Jill’s worst atrocities through a web accessibility checker tool called Silktide, which has several settings for simulating different types of color blindness. I focused on the milder forms, because let’s be honest — if bitch was completely unable to see blue, we’d definitely have heard about it by now. Sorry for the ugly collage, web accessibility is my passion - graphic design is not. I also included statistics on the likelihood of anyone any of having these specific types of color blindness.
I also want to point out that Jill has most likely color edited the originals, either using filters or other adjustments, so these comparisons aren’t a perfect 1:1 representation of how things might appear in real life.
I pulled up a picture of Howl’s cape while running the heart bag through the tool’s filters for comparison. While both red and green weakness made it look a bit closer to the original cape’s colors, it was still nowhere near enough for the poor choice of materials to be acceptably explained away by mild color blindness.
As amusing as it is to entertain the idea that Jill might have some sort of color blindness my conclusion is that she is, in fact, not color blind. She is just your regular lazy womanchild that is actively convincing herself she is a fashion diva.
